  1. In regards to those who have systems that can't run Windows 11 and can't/won't upgrade their hardware - that's like living on a cruise ship where the motors have issues and the lifeboats have stopped working. Sooner or later the proverbial iceberg is going to come along (like Sonar or Next requiring Win 11) and you're then your SOL. No offense to those who can't upgrade their hardware - I've been there at multiple different times in the past, sometimes you just can't. MAC users face this upgrade dilemma on a regular basis.
  2. Actually @kitekrazy response is dead on. Neither MS or Apple view selling the OS as viable as a major income stream. OS Licensing for hardware bundling and corporate sales (Window 11 enterprise upgrade is not free) are MS's bread & butter. Individual licenses are available for purchase for small OEM dealers, people who build their own systems or can't otherwise upgrade from qualified earlier versions.
  3. So it's agreed then - everyone is going back to DOS?
  4. In regards to the logic puzzle: Family Name - Car Color Left Side of the block Red - Red Orange - Red Yellow - Red Right Side of the block Green - Red Blue - Red Purple - Red Indigo - Silver (these guys are jerks and always have been)
  5. 6. ^^ Not the same deal... and not through JRR. This is in response to the formal release/upgrade announcement by Arturia about FX Collection 4, but I do see that there is some overlap if you bother to burrow down into the previous thread.
  7. The difference is between what is possible and what is plausible. Possible maybe, plausible no. If by Easter your referring to the Easter Bunny... that's a national tragedy. Thousands of poor rabbits going into diabetic shock and comas as children force feed them sugary treats so that they could lay better eggs.
  8. Arturia FX Collection 4 upgrades... In my case I can pay $29 to upgrade to what I already have!! Edit: Turns out that I don't have Rotary CLS-222 which has been added to the collection. 9. Thanks Greg. For those concerned about Kontakt version needed (even though it is a Kontakt Player version): Platform Version Kontakt Player 6.1.0
  10. They could also add the clause: This offer is limited to former LifeTime license holders on the condition that they shut the **** up and stop whining!''
  11. Regarding Gibson's LifeTime license... If Bandlab is even concerned about this issue (and they very well might not be) they could get in front of it by offering 'Lifetime' users a free 6 month or year subscription to the new Sonar. Kind of a hey "while we are not responsible or liable for the dishonest ridiculous cash grab maneuvers of another company - we acknowledge your frustration and without admitting or assuming liability we'll throw you this bone."
  12. Here's my contribution to this thread of rampant unsubstantiated speculation... per Next page: https://www.cakewalk.com/next/ (highlighting mine) Easily & Streamline to my thinking imply a simplified UI/program or at least a different one. Makes me wonder if Next will be the rebirthing of Project5.
  13. Sorry, I already have too many of this kind of library already and don't have the hard disk space for more. I just stumbled across the deals so I presented them. I found a couple of video demos...

  18. Looks nice. If anyone is going to be giving one away - let me be the first to say "HEY, OVER HERE!" (waiving arms frantically) I'd definitely like one, but even more - I'd like to be able to afford one (without going into debt, selling off my car, etc.) LOL. Edit: I own a lot of PCs and support a family of PC owners. I also own several Macs (LOL the newest being a 2012 Mini Mac). At my day gig I support both PCs and Macs (and other stuff). When it comes time to replace my current main computer I might just go Mac* - it all depends on multitude of factors such as cashflow, what's my day gig, whether there's a Mac version of Cakewalk (that's worth a crap), etc.. *I'd still keep my Windows computers...
  19. And in addition to hosting a 'deals' forum Bandlab graciously lets people discuss and promote other DAWs on its forums unlike most of the boards run by companies promoting those other DAWs. (not saying that you have overlooked that, just pointing it out because sometimes people overlook that generosity)
  20. Watched the videos and was surprised by this as I usually find most libraries of children's instruments interesting but rarely useful. I could actually see using this in a couple of projects...
  21. Bitches Brew? I haven't listened to that in quite a while... might an appropriate time to do so once again.
  22. Same here. <not to PavlovsCat> In regards to Bandlab losing business if they start charging for a free product - you do realize what a joke that statement is right?
  23. It makes Kontakt v6 nag you about upgrading to v7. https://vi-control.net/community/threads/kontakt-6-8.140331/ https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/13823/kontakt-6-8-0-aka-you-got-to-be-kidding-me
  24. From PSP ++++++++ We apologize for the inconvenience. Yesterday, we mistakenly published installers with incorrect plug-in libraries. Please download the updated installer and proceed with reinstalling the PSP Impressor plug-in. 1) Log-in to your PSP account and go to My plug-ins section, 2) Download the installer appropriate for your operating system. You can overwrite the newer version over the old one so after downloading simply start the installer.
