  1. I'm probably missing something... I don't understand the need to recreate every step or mis-step along the audio road. I'm waiting for a plugin that realistic recreates to beauty and majesty that wax cylinder recording (with cactus playback needles) gave us. In this case: "Jump into the sound of early digital gear with HoRNet ADDA a plugin designed to emulate the analog to digital and digital to analog conversion process of the early digital gear. " So we now can recreate the digital artifacts that made people initially hate CDs (truly the most hated period of professional audio that some audiophiles have never gotten over) - and you can oversample it? Wow, sign me up. But like I said I'm probably missing something.
  2. Except the Traction doesn't have any Hyperion sound banks for sale... Not at the moment. Per Reddit: If they are coming out with a player I would expect the player and patch pack to debut at the same time. If the player version can only play patch packs and not the bundled patches I expect they'll include it with the patch pack.
  3. That deal at JRR on May 31st, 2023 $25 prior to discount code was the only time I've seen Hyperion go below $64. Using that price as a benchmark is probably just going to break your heart; I don't think it'll be back but we'll see what happens on BF. As far as the player is concerned I'd be really surprised if the player went for under $35 when released (maybe on sale for $25 with MSRP of $35). Paul is too good of a developer to waste his time coding a new product that'll sell for $11.25 (unless that's the price for owner's of Hyperion). Just MHO take it with whatever quantity of salt works for you.
  4. Interesting plugin... not sure how much I'll use it but for around $2.40 I'll pick it up. Edit: so Brian posts about Hornet plugin sale and Larry responses with link to Baby Audio sale that doesn't sell Hornet plugins... maybe I'm missing the punchline. Maybe I need another cup of coffee, or maybe Lars needs one. Do I really care? About the coffee YES; about this thread - probably not. Am I OCD? Magic 8 Balls says "All signs point to yes" but the Magic Seer says otherwise...
  5. I couldn't get my system to recognize the 4tb chip - was afraid that I had somehow damaged it. ? Then I checked the spec's on my laptop and discovered that the MB only supported up to 2TB SSDs ?, newer models support up to 4TB chips. Was bummed, had already laid out plans for remapping my storage. I think I got it through NewEgg, they refunded me with no issues.
  6. My system can't use the 4tb version. I bought one at a previous sale and had to return it.
  7. You can create a free 30 day trial membership (that's what I did last week).

  9. You're probably timing a mass release for the day after I get additional storage... They say that nature abhors a vacuum, unfortunately the same principle applies to unused disk space. Still... looking forward to seeing what you come out with!
  10. Wup, Wup, Wup, Wup, Wup, Wup... The sound you hear when you're driving along your DAW and your Waves subscription runs out and goes flat.

  12. 20 to go! Watching the counter is slightly more fun than watching paint dry... I must be having a slow Sunday evening.
  13. If you've missed some of the updates - here's a link to Stefano Maccarelli's web site and his collection of free pesets for Elements https://stefanomaccarelli.com/tutorial/free-presets/ Edit: there was an email sent out this morning (I got mine at 11:01am PST) that has links to both the free 1.07 update and the new Action Kit presets.
  14. Download the installers from your User Area https://www.pspaudioware.net/UserArea/user/assets
  15. Too true. People think they need the latest doodad in order to be productive. If I'm honest with myself - I was more productive (i.e. finishing more songs) when I had less tools. But still, shiny toys are addictive...
  16. Way cheaper. https://www.adsrsounds.com/software-developer/moog/ Here's thread on ADSR sale that was supposed to end on June 30th but was extended to Aug 1st, it has some good info.
  17. Blue Cat's PatchWork 2.66 Free Update Dear Customer, We are happy to announce the release of Blue Cat's PatchWork 2.66, with a couple of improvements for macro parameters and MIDI control, as well as a few fixes (full change list below). This is a free update that you can download from the same location as the original full version (you may have to refresh the web page): Download link in your email What's New: Drag and drop macro parameters to change order / insert / copy. Macro Parameters & params assignments can now be saved and copied/pasted. The "Remove" macro command now removes the currently selected macro parameter instead of the last one. Macro LEARN mode is now disabled automatically when the Params Map Editor is closed. AAX plug-in now reports the recording status to hosted plug-ins (in recent versions of Pro Tools that support it). Synchronize multiple MIDI controllers: when "all channels" (0) is used for MIDI input control and "send MIDI events when parameters values change" is active, the plug-in now sends MIDI events to all other channels. Updated parameters layout for GUI-less plug-ins to accomodate plug-ins with multiple parameters. GUI-less plug-ins generic editor now follows PatchWork's zoom level. Improved plug-in loading time. Fixed a crash when opening the editor of a VST2 GUI-less plug-in that uses non-unicode encoding in its parameters (piz-midi plug-ins). Fixed plug-in slots display issue on Mac OS 10.9. Fixed plug-in slot menu issues when loading plug-ins with more than 22380 parameters on Windows. Enjoy!
  18. All of the web site demos for Genesis are dripping with reverb... is the moisture baked in or optional? I'd rather be able to use my own verbs (at least on occasion).
  19. Looks like they're currently having a sale with various discounts on a most (all?) their products. For example: Genesis https://audiobro.com/genesis/ is currently $189.00 53% Off from MSRP $399 - or is the sale price their normal price? (I'm not familiar with AudioBro)
  20. Nice that NI appears to be aggressively fixing bugs. Now if they could only make Kontakt v7 load and get through VST scanners as quickly as v6 did...
  21. Regular MSRP is $ 4,654 so if you have no OTS libs group buy price is over $2k. If you buy it in pieces you'll get orange slices for additional discounts on subsequent purchases. Edit: added quote from Greg & following info: Owning a library gets you a discount on any bundles containing it which is then discounted by the group buy and orange slices (from previous purchases) will give you further discounts to the group buy price.
  22. Yes, (so far) not seeing any issues.
