  1. Anyone use that browser plugin that would highlight the PA plugins that you owned when you were viewing the product page? Mine broke a while back and wondering if they ever fixed it.
  2. On the other hand, you won't have an update cause the plugin to not be found in project and losing its settings in the process. Can't tell you how many times I've had that happen. A significant number of the plugins in any of our collections are past EOL but we don't know it as it is often never announced. If the economy goes south at some point that number may jump up significantly as many developers go under. I am trying (note italics) to get in the habit of always bouncing any tracks involving plugins before closing/saving a project. That way if the next time I reopen a project and a plugin fails to load I have the option to fall back and use the bounced track as either a reference or a replacement.
  3. per https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/jampoints/ "You can redeem your JamPoints™ at any time while shopping in the IK Store or the Custom Shop to save up to 15% on items $/€99.99 and under, and up to 30% on items $/€100 and over." So you can use 4 JamPoint if purchasing at IKM, still it was slightly cheaper at JRR.
  4. IK Multimedia Tonex Mesa/Boogie Software Suite for $29.99 at Jrr Shop https://www.jrrshop.com/ik-multimedia-tonex-mesa-boogie.html $25.91 $25.19 with code 'GROUP' The email said 'Last Chance for March Deals' so possibly the is sale over April 1st? Anyone have/using this collection?
  5. Fix that by deactivating and reactivating the plugin in iLok License Manager.
  6. I hated the iLok until the motherboard unexpectantly died on my audio computer and I ended up replacing the machine. I had my iLok plugins running on the same day I installed the OS on my new machine, it was weeks before I finished installing all the rest.
  7. You're joking right? It already does. As shown it can be activated on an iLok2 (or higher), machine, or Cloud. It you're referring to the incorrect thread title "Slate Ditches the iLok!" listen to the video in the OP. The video doesn't say that Slate has ditched iLok, only that it added the option for computer activation (and added option for 2nd activation).
  8. UAD is no longer supports iLok cloud. iLok machine and iLok dongle are still supported. Once you deactivate/reactivate your plugin you'll have 3 activations instead of 2.
  9. Kilohearts update 2.4.0 released includes new free plugin! NEWS! We have just launched a new free effects plugin. Say hello to Kilohearts Clipper, and start pruning those pesky peaks today! Kilohearts Clipper brings the power of razor-sharp per-sample clipping to the Kilohearts Ecosystem. Use it as a tool to dominate the dynamics of your signal or as a creative effect to smash your sound. Clipper is available as a regular VST/AAX/AU plugin to use in your DAW of choice and can also be combined and modulated with other effects as a Snapin in any of our modular Snapin Hosts. Kilohearts Clipper is free as part of the Kilohearts Essentials collection of plugins. Just run the Kilohearts Installer and update to get it now.
  10. Next v1.0.1.434 won't load - I've clicked No over 10x before giving up. Trying to run it again - no luck. Uninstalling and reinstalling - no change. When I click on Yes, I get a crash error. I submitted a "request" https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Here's the error log.
  11. LOL a bit judgy? Not every audio interface supports direct monitoring or can host plugins while doing so. Thank you for the solution you mention in your previous post, but it's not practical for my work style as I'd be flipping back & forth multiple times during the recording and overdub process.
  12. In Sonar can I change the sample rate audio tracks are recorded at (IE if I start at 96k can I record other audio tracks at 48k)? I record my guitar tracks with the sample rate set at 96000 because with my Quantum 2 interface it reduces my latency to between 2 - 5ms; but I do not want record my other audio tracks (vocals, acoustic instruments, etc.) at 96k, would rather use 48k to waste less disk space. Is this possible in Sonar?
  13. For $99 that looks like a pretty nice upgrade deal. Looks like Augmented Yangtze is the only new instrument not currently included in Collection V X. Usually there's a number of new instruments that have dropped before they announce a version update, so wondering if Collection V XI is really going to drop this year.
  14. $99 to upgrade from v9 to vX (at least for me). That's for 4 new instruments - MiniFreak V, Acid V and CP-70 V and Augmented Grand Piano (which I already have) and 2 rebuilt instruments (their terminology) Mini V 4, and Wurli V 3. + 3 expansion packs. Still - will need to think this over. At the moment I am overloaded with virtual instruments and probably should be thinking about shedding what I don't & won't be using instead of collecting more.
  15. Sonar 2025.02 Update 2 released March 17, 2025 Sonar 2025.02 Update 2 For more details about the latest changes, click here. 16. I hadn't realized that David was that last original Doll's member. They were highly polarizing - people seemed to either strongly love or hate them. Their androgynous attire totally freaked some people out. Despite their short comings they were highly influential. Along with Blue Cheer, Iggy & the Stooges, they were one of the early protopunk bands. I don't think this producer checking out the band quite knew what to think...
  17. What’s new in version 1.9.0: Introducing TONEX Editor, an app dedicated to editing your TONEX devices. TONEX Pedal firmware 1.6.13 TONEX ONE firmware 1.3.11 General reliability improvements.
  18. per Google: WebView2 is pre-installed on Windows 11 and is also included on most Windows 10 devices, meaning it is essentially included with both operating systems; however, for Windows 10, it may need to be manually installed on some older versions depending on the update level. Key points about WebView2: Pre-installed on Windows 11: This means it comes automatically with every new Windows 11 installation. Widely available on Windows 10: Most Windows 10 devices should have WebView2 installed, but older versions might require a manual update. Evergreen Runtime: WebView2 uses an "Evergreen Runtime" which automatically updates in the background on both Windows 10 and 11. So if you have Windows 11 and don't have WebView2 installed (assuming that you didn't manually delete it) you might have other issues as well. If it was me and I ran into that issue on any of my Windows machines I'd do a little system maintenance i.e. Open an elevated command window and run SFC /SCANNOW then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth These are basic IT tech tools, if you don't know what these do - Google them*. (not being rude or snarky just don't have the time at the moment to explain them when it's so easy to look it up)
  19. or because I grabbed the wrong set of glasses again... (so a resource issue on my end?)
  20. If it stays blurry it's because the plugin can't find its resources. Possibly something screwed up during the installation process or it can happen if you take the VST3 plugin (1) out of its folder (2) because it needs the contents of the Resources folder (3) to render the GUI. Most developers don't use html GUIs on their plugins. Nothing wrong with that approach (probably makes it easy to have cross platform versions) just not the most common. This structure - Folder.vst3, contents, resources, etc. is actually the lastest VST3 spec; which is why you see more & more devs adopting it, though many don't use the Resources folder for anything that matters. Now days I just move the whole folder.vst3 to organize/cleanup things instead of bothering to extract the actual plugin.vst3 file. You usually can move the whole Folder.vst3 (with its contents) to another location (i.e. subfolder) within the C:\Program Files\Common\VST3 to organize thing if you wish. I don't bother with the UAD plugins because the installer just reinstalls them back to the root of that folder everytime it runs.
