APD Deal: TONEX Metal Gems Collection by IK Multimedia - FREE DOWNLOAD
TheSteven replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Looks like they pulled it. -
PA is terrible at announcing their Windows updates. I always reinstall the whole set at least once a year (or whenever I pick up a new one**) and when I do I find that most have been touched (newer file dates, different files sizes). Use the Plugin Alliance Installation Manager and reinstall all your PA PC plugins - I just did that and noticed that a number of them were half the size of what I previously had. Sorry I should have grabbed a screen shot - since I store my PA VST3s in a "PluginAlliance" subfolder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\PluginAlliance) I can see the differences between what I just installed and what I had, before I move the new ones over. **BTW I did end up picking up U2A.

I didn't get the text because I opted out after my membership expired at the end of last year. I just went to their website https://www.stewmac.com/stewmax-1-year-membership/ I saw this: 1-YEAR MEMBERSHIP REGULAR $59.95 NOW ONLY $29.98 LIMITED TIME OFFER ENDS JULY 30, 2024 @ 4:00PM ET Don't know if this deal is only available to previous members (which I am) or everyone. I definitely got my monies worth from my membership while I had it.

I find it amusing how plugins that were salivated over and regarded as hot not that long ago appear to go out of fashion. As the multitudes who desired them have acquired their fill (or burned out on offerings from a particular developer) they appear to either stop viewing related threads or stop contributing - what's left are often less than positive endorsements. $29 is not a bad price; it may not be a nice as some of pricing combos we were able to manipulate in the past but it's not bad. For items that rarely go on sale it's your chance to get forever $29 pricing. I'm thinking of possible picking up NEOLD U2A. Don't really need yet another LA2A mutation, but still I'm considering it.

The Spitfire Labs web pages associated with it have been removed. Micah’s Choir is still on PianoBook https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/micahs-choir/ If you don't have or lost the Labs version you might want to grab a copy of the PianoBook version in case it goes AWOL at some point too.

Any downside to upgrading? IE if what you have works why bother?

Current BandLab membership sale is still on at $112 per year
TheSteven replied to Living Room Rocker's topic in Deals
I think Noel closed the thread because he just got tired hearing the same complaints and negativity ad infinitum. Noel is well aware (and acknowledged) that many of us are not interested in a subscription model. To what degree he has of influencing decisions in that matter I do not know. -

FREE DAW! Bitwig Studio 8-Track (limited time promotion)
TheSteven replied to Francisco-J's topic in Deals
Yes, but I had to change the YouTube resolution to max (2160p) and even then it took multiple tries. And it created an additional new 8 Track license, it did not extend my current license which ends next month. I lost a month but not upset about it. Depends on how you look at it... It's a way to verify if the BitWig ecoscape works for you. No point in buying a full Studio license if you don't like how the 8 Track version works. It qualifies you for upgrades which can save you some $. Think of it more as an opportunity rather than a limitation. -
Assuming you're using Windows, check for "C:\Program Files\LUNA\LUNA.exe" Possibly the installer hung after the installation was completed.

Not the first posting on this, but good reminder for those who may have missed it.

Happy Birthday to both of you! Those damn birthdays are sneaky though, one moment you're young and virile and suddenly you're old and virile...

Don't know if that's still the case but these particular drives were (upto 9 months ago) having a high per centage failure rate. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/sandisk-extreme-pro-failures-are-due-to-design-flaw https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/15kx1k2/the_verge_we_just_lost_3tb_of_data_on_a_sandisk/ https://www.reddit.com/r/editors/comments/10syawa/a_warning_about_sandisk_extreme_pro_ssds/ Western Digital has denied there is an issue and is getting sued... https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/sandisk-ssd-firmware-fix-fails-hardware-havoc-revealed/ -

Rigid Audio Kontakt GUI Maker has been updated to 1-0-3! Check it out!
TheSteven replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
You've got that reversed, unless you're designing your own Kontakt instrument it's actually more of a rompler that a sampler. It used to be strictly a rompler for non-developers but once Kontakt added the ability to allow developers give their customers the ability to drop in their own samples that difference blurred. There are a number of Kontakt libraries that now allow you to drag n drop in your own samples - for example: and Ibrido Zero by Sonokinetic. Both of these will allow mere mortals the ability to manipulate their own samples in a variety of ways. -
Transfer Push 2 license and associated Suite license
TheSteven replied to Niky Serrano's topic in Gear
From what I've read - no. -
All that remains is marketing... and maybe the need for a hot shower.
