Which version of Cakewalk?, Which version and build of Windows? Have you ruled out the possibility of a plugin doing this?
-
Sounds like a sustain MIDI event is being sent In the track that contains the stuck notes, you might want to check the event list and look for controller events that could be doing this. The usual suspects would be CC64 to CC67. There might also be an automation lane that could contain sustain MIDI events.

Are you able to download Bandlab Assistant? Then you can use this to download Cakewalk by Bandlab https://www.bandlab.com/download/assistant/windows
-
What didn't work, the Bandlab download from my link (which I just retested and it works from here) , or the installation from a successful download. What version of Windows are you running. Have you installed all the latest patches - including the latest Vdist C++ runtimes The latest Vdist C++ runtimes are downloaded from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads Hare you tried temporarily disabling your antivirus program Have you tried running Bandlab installer as admin? If you cannot log on , then the sounds like you have systemic PC issues (unrelated to Bandlab Assistant) Sounds like you will need someone to physically visit to help troubleshoot your PC issue that is preventing Bandlab Assistant from working properly. (Even if Bandlab Assistant is the only program you're having issues with)

Are you logging of with your Cakewalk credentials (recommended) or your Facebook / Google credentials Try uninstalling Bandlab Assistant then downloading from here and reinstalling - even if you do have the latest version (The latest version of Bandlab Assistant 6.00) https://www.bandlab.com/download/assistant/windows

Crackling Noise in Audio Playback and while playing Virtual Instruments after Update
Promidi replied to Matthew Solomon's question in Q&A
You might want to start a new thread. When you do, can you give us more information - like audio interface, buffer size driver mode, what you have tried so far? -

I'm doing fine thanks. Regarding workspaces (Note: it was once called Lenses in earlier versions) See: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Lenses.1.html
-
Are you using Workspaces? If so, set workspaces to None. If you're intentionally using workspaces, configure the workspaces you're using not load screen layouts. Note: I also use screensets in my projects and they do indeed remember the console view settings.

Is my sound driver (NVIDIA high definition audio) compatible with ASIO? Do I need ASIO?
Promidi replied to Oscar Garzon's question in Q&A
No, NVIDIA high definition audio does not support ASIO mode. You probably could use ASIO4ALL, but that is never a recommended solution You may be able to use your onboard audio drivers in WASAPI mode. However, you may not get the results you're after. What you really need is a quality audio interface that comes with its own native ASIO drivers. If you do that, it is recommended that you disable your NVIDIA high definition audio. -
Sounds like you are going to need a physical visit from someone who knows what they are doing to help you get set up....

Feature Request: Custom Instrument Maps for VSTi's
Promidi replied to JohnK's topic in Feedback Loop
Yes, I am meaning create separate controller names for each synth and save it as an instrument definition file for a given vst. Note: It is already possible to have a global list of controller names defined.... but these same defined names appear on the dropdown regardless of what the instrument is. -
Yeah that's what I thought. I would not risk it until someone on Australian soil has confirmed they have received a working licence. This is also considering there is another post on here where someone is still waiting for their licence 2 or 3 hours later.
-
Before ordering a downloadable product from there, I would like to hear confirmation from someone in Australia who has successfully payed for, and received their confirmed working licence. Note: I was able to use a proxy server to trick the website into thinking I am in the USA and the "Add to cart" button then became clickable.
-
Note: This item doesn't currently ship to Australia. (WTF, it's downloadable - unless they send you a box with a serial number)

(not a deal) New IK Product Manager now available
Promidi replied to Peter - IK Multimedia's topic in Deals
Just another suggestion for the IK Product manager. Is it possible for IK Product manager to internally use multiple download sessions when downloading files from within. Currently, if I download an update, my browser with a download manager can download the relevant files 2 times faster than if I did it using IK Product manager. I am on a confirmed 47 Mbps connection. IK Product manager downloads at 2.1 MB/s whereas my browser with a download manager can downloads it at 5.6 MB/s I just checked this with the Sampletank 4.13 update. -
Some audio interfaces do not allow changes to buffer size using Cakewalk's audio preferences. You need to do this using the configuration utility that came with your audio interface. I have an intel 4th gen i5 (2015) with a 2nd gen Focusrite 2i2 set to 48khz with a buffer size or 256 samples. This is using ASIO. I do not get glitchy playback when playing any softsynth live in real-time - even the CPU hungry ones.
-
Check the sample rate of your project. Also, use ASIO driver mode (prefered) if you're able. If using onboard sound (not really recommended), then check that the sample rate of your project matches the settings as configured in Windows sound settings. Note: With questions like this, a bit more information about your system and audio interface and settings are always useful.

Not for me it's not. What do you mean "kinda broken" What did IK support say when you contacted them about the issue you're having? -
What are your PC specs. CPU, speed, ram ?? Are all of your hardware drivers up to date. Check this with the actual websites of the hardware's manufacturers , not Microsoft.

Yes. If you head over to your IK products area, scroll down to Sampletank 4. Then click on "Past Releases" https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/my-products/ In there you'll see version 4.1.2 of Sampletank and the download links for both the Windows and Mac versions (to the right) -

It works for me. I successfully updated Sampletank 4.11 to 4.12 using the IK product manager I am sure IK support can find out what's going on in your case.... -

Works flawless for me. I am assuming this replaces the IK Authorisation manager - I looked around on the IK Product Manager and, indeed, there is a place to register new products. One suggestion. On the home screen of IK Product Manager, those four items on the left (where is shows you the quantities of your installed items) it would be nice to be able to click on these to show the items you've clicked on. For example, the bottom item is "update". It would be nice to click on that to list the items that need updating (And on that list, clicking on the individual item takes you to that specific item on your IK product list on the IK website product area. Other than that, this is a mighty fine product manager. Thanks IK!
