Then it looks like you can just load the same instrument into more than 1 slot. Then simply set the MIDI Channels of each slot accordingly. I don't use Kontakt, but I reckon that's you'd do it. I have the same dilemma with pedal steels so I just use more than one pedal steel track to get independent pitch bends on each string.

This depends entirely on the synth are you using? Which synth are you using? If the synth you're using is not multitimbral (can trigger different sounds on multiple channels), then one way is to use separate instances of the synth for the notes that you need to bend to a different range.

The issues only appear with users who have a very specific configuration. For most people, myself included, this update installed without a problem. If you have waves12 , then there is a file that the WavesLocalServer process hold open, preventing Cakewalk from modifying that file. Either kill the WavesLocalServer process, or reboot prior to install an you'll be fine. This is a bug with waves12 (that waves are looking into) not Cakewalk by Bandlab.

even numbered inputs on Scarlett 18i20 not listed
Promidi replied to Penny Fowkes's topic in Instruments & Effects
I don't have this unit but is it possible that it’s because they are listed in pairs? -
These are preview hotfixes. They are released to address specific issues that the Bakers believe are serious enough to warrant their release. Use the list of fixes in the release notes to help you determine whether to install them or not. If you are not affected by anything listed in the hotfix, then you could hold off until the next pubic release. That being said, I have installed all preview hotfixes to date (I'm now on 2021.1 Build 93) and I have never had an issue with them.

Rename Midi CC and Midi CC lane drawing facilities
Promidi replied to Dupuy's topic in Feedback Loop
You can actually rename CC controllers globally - but they are just that, global. The idea to have specific CC name mappings per VSTi would be excellent. While Bezier curves for CCs are not possible at this time, the PRV transform tool is probably the closest we have at the moment. -
I'm not really sure and I would be guessing at this stage as I do not use this specific equipment. I think what you you might want to do is contact support https://www.enttec.com/support/

You're almost there. Right click on anything there with the words “Hub” , and go to properties > power management. Then deselect “Allow the computer to turn of this device to save power”

It depends what the drivers are for. I don't use Dell hardware so I can only assume that if that page says it it up to date, then you should be all good. As far as the DMXis sometimes losing communication with Cakewalk by BandLab. It's probably more a case of the DMXis losing communication on a hardware level. Check that the USB power management is disabled - this is done in the device manager properties for the USB Root hubs (start+ run devmgmt.msc)

You might want to consider completely uninstalling "TinyWall" altogether. The built in Windows firewall is more than adequate for the task these days.
-
You might want to get this issue sorted before troubleshooting the issue with the DMXi - they could actually be related.... When you say “downloading latest drivers”, which specific drivers are you having issues with?

You might want to contact Corel support here: https://support.corel.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=209638

Has it ever worked, or is this an issue that has just started happening? Are you on the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab (Which is 2021.1 Build 75 - though there is also a hotfix to build 86) Is your Windows fully patched and all drivers update to date (Using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates) Are you using version 1.70 Win (64bit VST) of the DMXIS App https://www.enttec.com/product/controls/dmx-lighting-control-software/dmxis/ Can you give us some information about your system (version and build number of Windows, Hardware, etc)
-
Are you clicking the mouse at the correct location? (Just above the point where you drag to view the Drum Pane)
-
Are you using ASIO driver mode? What Buffer size, sample rate, bit depth are you using? Are you using any plugins that use look ahead (like a linear phase EQ) Your PC specs would be handy as well See signature for my details (I do not have any latency or sound issues with those settings)
-
Does anyone else have the issue that if you click the PRV menu item: View | Show\Hide Articulation Pane on an active track in Build 85, that nothing happen? This is on a newly added MIDI track (or SIT) (Works fine in 2021.1 Build 75 - which I have reverted to)

Keystrokes on my midi keyboard no longer showing up on the piano in the piano roll view
Promidi replied to Mehrdad Shamsi's question in Q&A
All fine here 2021.1 Build 75. Pressing keys on my MIDI controller show the key in my PRV (Yes I know 2021.1 build 85 is available, but I am having an issue with articulation maps that makes build 85 a show stopper for me) -
Are you saying that you load a template with that setting unchecked. Then eventually, without loading a new project , the setting is becomes checked? If that is the case, I have never had that issue in the 22 years I have been using Cakewalk (Up to the latest CbB)
-
Because this is under “Projects" in preferences, this is a per project setting. It will also be set as part of a project template. If you want this setting to be checked (or unchecked), save your start up template with this setting as you would like it. With the same project open, it should not change of its own accord.

Time to upgrade your internet. If you think 566 MB is large, wait until you see the size of some third party libraries..... (UVI world Suite 2 clocks in at 28.5 gig, Sampletank 4 Max clocks in at 260GB. Some libraries are even larger)

I'm curious If an MPE enabled keyboard (like a ROLI device) performance was recorded with CbB, would the data received be standard MIDI data (including poly aftertouch), albeit on all 16 channels? If that's the case, if you have 16 MIDI tracks, all set to their respective MIDI channels in the track's settings and all armed and recording, would such a recording populate all 16 tracks with MIDI data - including the poly aftertouch?

Very good points. I do indeed use a Hardware synth (Yamaha SW1000XG) that excepts Sysex strings. For a while now, I have indeed been making extensive use of SYSEX banks. These work really well I also have written many Studioware panels that themselves contain sysex. (Please don't ever drop support for opening these in CbB - and CAL scripts). I can see where you are coming from in in regards SYSEX in Articulation maps - and I am agreeing there. I can also see the issue you would have for the various Chase modes for articulation maps that contain SYSEX strings. Some SYSEX strings can be quite long and the synths need time to process some of them. Also, there has to be enough people who would use the feature to warrant the amount of work put into it. I am going to have to concede that I am very much in the minority. Therefore, I am happy to continue using Studioware panels. As regards NRPNs and NPNs. I keep forgetting that they are simply combined standard controllers that can be added to Articulation maps. So in essence, in a round about way, NRPNs and NPN functionality in Articulation maps is already there -just not as direct entries. For those I will just continue to use standard PRV NRPNs and NPN controller lanes (with the right INS file) - the names are all there in my case. The main thing I use NRPNs and NPNs for are setting pitch bend range and adjusting individual drum parameters in XG. A big thanks to the developers for fixing the pitch bend ranges in Articulation maps BTW - that was much appreciated.
