What's your favorite song of all time & why?
Mr No Name replied to T Boog's topic in The Coffee House
I don't listen to that song much, but if it ever comes on the radio I make a point of stopping what I'm doing or thinking about to have a proper listen. -

If I had to choose one of all time, might be this. -

Impossible to answer, but when I heard this a few months ago for the first time I listened to it around 25 times in a row, so I must like it. slightly obscure Fleetwood Mac tune. (Sara is more of a favourite possibly) -
Maybe the deal is only for Americans.
-
when you open Cakewalk (by bandlab) the orange pop up box offers the deal at 60% off, but when you click it and go to bandlab site, no cigar. deal is probably is on Singapore time. 2.41 am 3rd of December as of now in Singapore. 6 hours ago it should have worked.

Checked my account and had 10 credits in there, so applied and paid £7, worth it I think. That was my black friday purchase.

I'm not sure but I would say the Melda free bundle would be free, if anyone asks you to pay $20 for it contact Melda.

nice song, very professional sounding, enjoyed listening.

Looks like we are loosing another long time user.

Mike is to Cakewalk what Kenny Goia is to Reaper, except Mike isn't official which is a shame seeing as he has done so much to promote the DAW. -
only works with the full version of kontakt unfortunately.

It's the developers I feel sorry for, spend their time developing and building the DAWS, and then have to listen to people constantly whinging about it and have no power over the decisions of the sales. They do well not to become embroiled in the negativity it causes. for the record Studio One do have the complete kind of approach to the sales, you can get every different type of purchase, including a subscription if that's what you prefer, professional studio people do prefer them for tax reasons. anyway. -

I would wager Studio One have knobbled him and got him to slag off Cakewalk to nick some users. the whinging is too over the top to be genuine. imo. -
you'd want something like the NI audio 8 dj , designed to be used with timecode vinyls on decks, has 2 pairs of rca line inputs .

i've encountered a nice free one from acustica called "fire the gold" bit grittier and shrill than the Triton, not as "expensive" sounding worth £0 . 00 p
-
if anyone knows of a better sounding software preamp than that please let me know , I'd be interested to find out about it.

Triton D20 pre-amp (vst) A plug in based on a discontinued hardware pre amp from a couple a years ago, they made a plug in version to replace, very good pre amp. half price deal at the moment. https://www.tritonaudio.com/product/d2o-plugin/ as reviewed by this funny Dutchman

What's the best way to soundproof my windows permanently?
Mr No Name replied to T Boog's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
doubl glazing, rockwool in the cavity, very heavy thick curtains x2, there's a function rooms near me, sometimes they have raves there with 10 k systems, traditional brick building, they cover the out side windows with massive heavy curtains, windows are double glazed. Can hardly hear anything from outside, amazing. If the building was a warehouse style made of metal , it would be far worse.
