In response to my earlier email to Sonivox about the registration issue, the Software Support Team at inMusic Brands emailed me early this morning.
They asked that I try it again, and it is indeed working today!
I guess that they should consider adding this one to iLok registration, just like the rest of their software.

@abacab - did you pick anything up?
Yep. Downloaded all the demos, with the intent to get one. Beat my new year's resolution deadline by a couple days as not to buy any synths in 2021.
The winner was Repro! ?

Melodyne Essentials installs and upgrades have always been handled directly with Celemony and your user account over there. As far as I know, CbB not involved, other than providing ARA2 support.
I recently upgraded to Melodyne Essentials 5 (have never had a higher level installed), and running the latest version of CbB.

I'm pretty sure its still there when used via Cakewalk - i.e. dragging audio to a MIDI track.
Yes it is! Confirmed Audio to MIDI conversion feature in Cakewalk. Melodyne never appeared, but Cakewalk asked me which algorithm to use.
* I only have Melodyne Essentials installed.
The pic at the bottom:
Track 1 - Audio loop of acoustic guitar (from Sonar loops library)
Track 2 - MIDI conversion of audio loop dragged to MIDI track
Track 3 - Instrument track receiving MIDI data from track 2 (Ample Guitar M II Lite)
Track 4 - Audio recording of instrument playing MIDI data on track 2
The playback is in tune and on time when both audio tracks are played back together, and the sound is very close.

I didn’t know there was a download for x1. I think I made an ISO copy and it’s ferreted away on a forgotten backup drive somewhere.
Sonar pre X-series (8.5 and earlier) - the installers were shipped on disk, no downloads as far as I know.
Sonar X1, X2, and X3 - No disk installers, only downloaded from your old account as far as I know. Some changes to add-ons between X2 and X3: Roland VVocal was dropped between X2 and X3 due to the Roland/Gibson transition. Nomad Factory Blue Tubes were added, and a number of legacy Cakewalk FX were dropped. R-Mix was dropped. AAS Session instruments were new for X3.
Sonar Platinum - installer downloads from either your old account, or via Cakewalk Command Center. The Cakewalk "Connected" era began.
Note: this info should be accurate as far as Producer/Platinum editions. Don't have the details for Artist or Professional, or others...

Yamaha makes good stuff and they usually have audio and midi figured out.
You realize that Yamaha has owned Steinberg since 2005, right?

The first thing I would do is try another plug-in. Then try another project, as suggested. I have MODO Bass, and it seems to work fine, but I have yet to use it extensively.
If that fails, then I would test the tracks in another DAW. Keep narrowing it down in a process of elimination to see what the cause of the trouble is.

Hmm.... isn't this a repeat? I already have it and I didn't buy it. ?
Not sure, but this is still the current deal from Plug-in Collective. Each deal runs for a couple of months, and has not been repeated this past year according to this page. Scroll down the page for a list of previous Jan-Nov 2020 deals.

I just sent an email to softwaresales@sonivoxmi.com asking about the registration issue.
I would suggest that anyone else having issues to do the same!

I just checked wayoutware.com with a couple of websites, downdetector.com and isitdownrightnow.com and they confirmed that domain is down for everyone, not just me.

It's impossible to register the plugin as the webpage for registration, http://www.wayoutware.com/ is dead, and has been for quite some time, or so it seems.
This is what you get if you buy the plugin from this offer. There might be a newer version elsewhere that works, but that ain't it.
You are correct. I've owned a license for TimewARP2600 for several years, and it's been one of those annoying activations that resets every time Windows installs a new feature update. But never been a problem until now...
I just launched it, and it requested a registration code, again. FYI, SONiVOX bought Wayoutware some time ago.
But unfortunately, it seems that the registration server is down now. Way to go SONiVOX! Are you seriously still selling this?
Not to mention, the existing owners should be up in arms now! No way to register an existing license? Major fail!

First, I made the same mistake spelling the product name! But it is called Devastor 2 only! ?
It's Larry's fault. The thread title took over my brain, LOL!
But bottom line, it's actually a very cool plug-in! I was asking myself do I really need another distortion effect? But what a surprise!

My untrustworthy memory seems to recall a thread (where?) that talked of a bug/feature between Cakewalk and Kontakt that resulted in what you are seeing. I'll try to find that thread tonight. Fwiw ...
This all seems to be sorted by following msmleod's procedure described earlier:
Add Kontakt as the first instrument track to Cakewalk.
Setup your instruments in Kontakt with their respective outputs enabled (Run the outputs batch script to add the outputs)
Add the remaining instrument tracks one at a time to Cakewalk (Use "Append Instrument Track" for each of the instruments).
Note: I am using the latest Kontakt 6.4.2 Player.

having similar problems, i wanted to output separate audio for studio drummer but it all goes wrong.
it would not be so bad if you could find the correct output and rename it in cakewalk but they marry the two together , I thought at first it was just mono but it seems to be after a set number of outputs it all goes pear shaped.
Any help gratefull on what is going on here.
It appears that you are still using Kontakt 5, which if I remember correctly, had different versions with various output configurations shown in Cakewalk.
This was improved to a single version for Kontakt 6.

Ok - an update to this issue. I recently got my hands on a MOTU M4. It does the same thing. So, the computer in question is:
OS: Win 10 Pro
Processor: Intel i7-9700k 8 Core Processor
HDD: 3 total drives - 2 Corsair MP600 Force Series Gen4 500 GB M.202280 NVME SSD and one SSD
RAM: 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200You didn't mention the brand and model of the new computer. Sometimes manufacturers of off-the-shelf computers add resident programs that run in the background to make support easier, but could possibly be messing with real-time audio.

Chester Thompson is his name.
Check their work here - probably the best live version of Fifth of Firth out there:
Yes, Chester, the "other drummer"!
Great guitar solo on that tune!
And I always wondered about that song title, so I looked it up...
"The title is a pun on the estuary of the River Forth in Scotland, commonly known as the Firth of Forth". ?

It's very hard to get authentic sounding music from a world virtual instrument if you don't know a lot about the real one.

Someone once said to me that the drums in one of my songs sounded good, but were wrong as the drummer would need three hands to play like that.
I replied, maybe someone else was playing some of it?
I once watched a drum duet performed by Phil Collins and his Genesis tour drummer. Two drum kits. It sounded like a single drummer with 4 arms and 4 feet. They were that tight! Totally frickin awesome! ?

I would suggest finding a demo of S1 5, or signing up for one month of PreSonus Sphere for one month at $14.95 on the monthly plan, which gives you unlimited access to all of their software. Just be sure to cancel before it renews for another month!
Try it out and see if the v3 issues are resolved... just make sure to make a copy of any projects tested in v5, because any that you save there cannot be opened again with an earlier version of Studio One.

The Yangqin from NI sounds great, but I have no idea how to play it properly...
