  1. Jampoints work fine at IK with Paypal. At least from the US. Cannot speak for other countries/regions though...
  2. IK took Paypal from me twice yesterday.
  3. The Synthmasters always show up under "KV331 Audio" for me in CbB.
  4. £81.08/$94.51 at Tone2 for full v2 license, not an upgrade.
  5. I think it sounds realistic as far as the captured room ambiances. Each space has a different feel. And it is endorsed by the studio owner. If the impulses are accurate to the original rooms in the studio, then it allows you to play in the same "rooms" that many famous artists recorded in. Plus some major eye candy! ?
  6. Got IK Space Delay for $17 at IK with Jampoints! ?
  7. Got it for $35 at IK with 15 Jampoints!
  8. I think that the current soft modular trend is just an offshoot of the hardware Eurorack synth movement that has been popular for years. It took some time for the modular hardware to be virtualized and affordable, but it seems that soft synth VST tech has finally caught up. And it's much more studio space and budget friendly! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurorack https://www.factmag.com/2017/09/21/modular-synth-eurorack-buyers-guide/ https://www.musicradar.com/how-to/9-things-that-every-eurorack-beginner-should-know https://www.sweetwater.com/insync/eurorack-buying-guide/ https://www.sweetwater.com/c1201--Eurorack_Cases
  9. I resemble that remark, LOL! Done and done.
  10. Fair enough. I suppose that it never occurred to me that someone would want a fully modular synth for the presets alone. But if that works for someone, then why not? I like the presets that come with any synth because they can serve as a showcase to how the synth can be used and its potential. And if lucky, even a few production ready new sounds. Especially with a blank slate such as a fully modular synth. Where do I start, LOL?
  11. I chose Cherry Audio Voltage Modular Nucleus (free), and quickly upgraded to VM Core. So I'm invested in that. I do like the Cherry Audio VM workflow best. Have also added some voice modules that Cherry partnered on with Mark Barton (MRB), such as the Oberheim SEM modules (from the Eight Voice), and the ARP 2500 and 2600. Previously I had tried the Softube Modular VSTi demo, Full Bucket Modulair (free) VSTi, and VCV Rack (free-standalone). I liked Softube, but for the money, Cherry has the best pricing and features for the paid stuff! I also tried the demo of Hyperion, (awesome sounds) but that one really strains my old timers disease! ?

This one is great to have around if you ever need some weird sounds. It can also make some good sounds. YMMV.
  13. This one is pretty nice!
  14. It looks nice, but if you already have a virtual modular you probably don't need another one. Expansions? As far as I can see, this is limited to AAS designed modules only, so there is apparently no market for 3rd party module development. Heck, that's one of the coolest features with other modular racks, both hardware and virtual. And with virtual vs. hardware, you only need to buy one copy of each module and you can insert as many copies of it as you wish! But CV-1 might appeal to modular first timers as a good controlled way to learn modular synthesis. And if you can live within the AAS walled garden, it might be all that you want or need.
  15. I'd be in for the T-Racks Leslie at $25. Have the Hammond B-3X and that would be a nice cabinet to have standalone. It's one of the few modules that didn't come with T-Racks 5 MAX, that I really want.
  16. I picked up Tone2 Warlock for cheap recently. It's a pretty good synth that also includes six Tone2 Firebird sound banks.
  17. $119 for all expansions is a pretty, pretty good deal! https://www.kv331audio.com/synthmasterexpansionsbundle.aspx
  18. Eight Voice 1.0.17 Build 99 is a free update for all Eight Voice users, and is available now at https://cherryaudio.com/instruments/eight-voice/download
  19. The Adaptive Limiter was added to Sonar Platinum and Professional in 2017.05. https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2016000065/SONAR-2017-05-Update-Fixes-and-Enhancements The Engineering FX Suite can be found in your old Cakewalk Command Center account, if you had one of those Sonar editions.
  20. I've got the Adaptive Limiter. I believe that it was carried over from my Sonar Platinum installation.
  21. The 1st 4 episodes cover the original version. Basics. For v2, the sample and granular update see episode 5. The v3 stuff begins in episode 6, where they go beyond just wavetable & analog (v1), sample and granular (v2), and add the harmonic and utility noise / sub osc (v3), as well as new filters and FX.
  22. I think the Tracktion synth to wait for is the upcoming F'em synth. Now that should be interesting! I'm all for supporting the nice devs at Tracktion, and have quite a few of their products. But, for the money now ($99), I'd go with Pigments. I picked up Pigments 2 last year on sale, and just got v3 for free! Absolutely awesome, and a major synth that covers most synth engine types. I tried the Hyperion demo and it's a great sounding synth, but nothing at all like Pigments. And I think there are probably better options for modular, like Voltage Modular from Cherry Audio. Try the free Voltage Modular Nucleus edition. It comes with the essential modules, and the add-ons are budget friendly! But be careful with that. I was quickly lured into purchasing the Core edition, and then a few more voice modules for the SEM (Oberheim), ARP 2500 & 2600, DCO-60 (Roland), Polymode (Moog)...
