  1. Installation tip (Windows): Be sure to set the VST2 path in the Aquarius installation manager before installing a product with it for the first time. Recommend creating a new sub-folder in the path just for Acustica in your VST2 folder, otherwise Cream2 will splatter your main VST2 folder with files. Maybe it's just me, but I like to keep things tidy! After the first try, I had to delete the Cream files, and re-install the plugin using a proper sub-folder. ?
  2. This might be an issue for all DAWs, not just Cakewalk! ? Not intending to be harsh here, and no offense intended, but there may really not be an easy way to distill a high tech recording studio into a "For Dummies" version. Years ago, in a real professional recording studio, you likely would have had to sweep floors and make coffee for several years before you could touch a knob or slider. So Cakewalk (a very good emulation of a real recording studio), and really any other leading DAW, will have a learning curve. This will require an investment of your time to understand the technology. Read the manual, watch some tutorials, and be patient. Those expecting instant gratification are sure to be frustrated. Those who stick with it will be rewarded. Yet @Noel Borthwickand team have managed to provide a very customizable UI that can be applied to your needs, once you learn what to show and hide.
  3. Ditto here. No mention in the manual either. I guess Acustica must have assumed the target audience might know how to set up channel strip hardware from the 60's-70's era.
  4. I win! Arena Rock is mine! $10 on PayPal in USD and done!
  5. We’ve partnered with our friends over at Mastering The Mix to give Studio One customers BASSROOM for free! BASSROOM is a final mix and mastering EQ that helps beginners and pros get their low-end sounding great. It does this by delivering exceptional sound quality and suggesting genre-specific EQ adjustments a great audio engineer in a world-class studio would make. Here is your license code: [check your promo email]. Click here for installer and redeem instructions: https://www.masteringthemix.com/pages/redeem-your-free-gift
  6. Too bad you cannot convert Jam Points directly to Gear Credits! ?
  7. As far as CPU load goes, the manual suggests using the largest buffer size setting possible to save CPU cycles.
  8. Too bad you cannot combine Jam Points with Gear Credits. Or use Jam Points up to 100% of the purchase price. ? *Since Larry's not here, gotta keep IKM on their toes, LOL!!!
  9. It's probably the most unique and creative tech manual I've ever seen. I read parts of it, and saw many references to Dante's Inferno (9 different sections, like the circles of Hell). I would say that it really strikes me more as something like the players guide you would get with an RPG adventure video game, such as The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.
  10. It was a bit over 1.7GB installed, as best I can recall. Aquarius also caches the installer files. You need to "purge" them if you don't want them hanging around on your drive as well.
  11. I installed this and found two cons right from the go. Cons: 1. You need to install the Acustica product manager "Aquarius" to download and authorize the plugin. 2. It uses almost 2GB of disk space. For a channel strip plugin? Pros: 1. It looks purty. For me, not sure it's worth keeping on the hard drive as something I might only use occasionally. Also have no other Acustica plugins, so don't really want yet another product/license manager on-board. But thank you Focusrite, for continuing to offer premium freebies to us interface owners!!!
  12. Just click one button. Simple. Non-owned gear is then not shown. Amplitube 5 User manual, page 47 - Gear Selector. Top right, under the options button.
  13. Well... based on that changelog from AAS, didn't see any pressing need to update at this time. Big thanks to @Promidi!!! Will wait to see what the next round holds...
  14. I just added his Luftrum 19 for Repro 5. Very impressive!!! I already had his soundsets for Iris 2 and Pigments 2. Love me some Luftrum also! Now I just have to find some deals on Omnisphere, Dune, Diva, and Zebra so that I can buy more Luftrum! ?
  15. https://www.luftrum.com/ Bioscape is 30% off, from $159 –> $111. Lunaris is 40% off, from $159 –> $95. Pandorum for Omnisphere 2.6 is 50% off, from 79 –> $39 With a few exceptions, everything else is 40% off. Code: "LONGERDAYS".
  16. Maybe it's not too obvious or intuitive, but simply clicking the STOP button a second time returns the play head to zero. ?
  17. BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover by Spitfire Audio is found and working fine fine here in CbB, It is essential that you check your VST scan paths to be sure that they are included correctly in the CbB scans for VST plugins. I have both the Spitfire VST2 and VST3 plugin versions available in CbB. It is possible that the Spitfire installer put them somewhere outside of your defined CbB scan paths.
  18. Yes, Studio Instruments is a free separate download for the BandLab version.
  19. Applied Acoustics Ultra Analog VA-3 Upgrade from Ultra Analog Session $199 $49 https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/virtual-instruments/applied-acoustics-ultra-analog-va-3-upgrade-ultra-analog-session Free with purchase - Applied Acoustics Ultra Analog Session https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/virtual-instruments/applied-acoustics-ultra-analog-session So buy anything, get Session for free, then upgrade to VA-3. Simple! Or could you actually just buy the upgrade first, to get the free Session that you need to upgrade from? Hmmm...
  20. Right! Like asking the river that carved the Grand Canyon when the job would be done. The river would likely have answered "soon". "Soon" is a totally subjective concept where the meaning totally depends on your point of view...
  21. I have the v3's of Ultra Analog and Chromaphone. The new v3 GUI is awesome for both, and the dual engine 'Layer A'/'Layer B' for the new AAS synths truly rocks with more complex sounds made possible!!! They have remastered the Chromaphone v2 factory presets for use in v3, plus added a new new factory presets library for v3 to Ultra Analog and Chromaphone. Not implying here that they added Layer B to the former presets, as that feature only appears to be used in the new v3 factory presets.
