  1. +1 for the Floyd Tribute Bank (for Modular and Solina), Floyd Tribute Bank II (for B-3, Mini, Solina, & Synthi) and the Synthwave 2085 (for Pigments).
  2. That's why I went the extra step and minimized my fan speeds, until critical temps are reached. Which is almost never, unless all cores are running at 100%. Plenty of ambient ventilation in my large full tower case. Slow fans generally keep the air flowing for me. Those fans constantly speeding up and slowing down was driving me crazy also! ?

  4. Well I suppose that you could always switch AD to use the GM map. There's one for that I think.
  5. That means it is likely redlining your CPU, and your computer is trying to stay cool under load. Not seeing that issue here with a desktop PC, using a full tower case and a couple of good case fans for cross-ventilation. I also went into my BIOS and tuned the fans for lower RPM, until the CPU temp reaches a higher threshold (below core meltdown, of course). Intel Core i-5, 6 cores @3.7 GHz base, turbo to 4.6 GHz, ASUS Prime Z390-A, 16GB DDR4 memory, Samsung EVO 860, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6.
  6. I have to give +1 to both Ample Sound and Indiginus for their virtual acoustic instruments! I have the Ample Upright Bass. Best acoustic bass sound that I have heard in a VST! It goes on sale once or twice a year. I got it on sale for $119 at Best Service last August. https://www.bestservice.com/ample_sound.html I also went out to Indiginus to pick up The Resonator, and ended up getting The Fiddle and The Steel too! Tracy at Indiginus sells them cheap enough as full Kontakt instruments only, so if you have full Kontakt, his instruments are a no brainer! Hopefully my next one from Indiginus will be the Renegade Acoustic, $69 (full Kontakt). https://www.indiginus.com/renegade-acoustic-guitar
  7. It's good that it doesn't auto update, and that you can run 2 versions of Live side by side! There is also a warning that if you save a set (project) in the latest version, you won't be able to open it again in the previous version. So until you know that you are all in with the update, it is best to save a copy of any existing sets to test in the new version!
  8. Well if you raise the bar to $10, there is plenty of junk for your trunk at PIB this month! See the other thread here about the PIB anniversary sale!
  9. Well, the only time that I feel compelled to have a portable license system, is with plugins with only one install per license. For iZotope that would be limited to the Exponential Audio reverbs. But since I now have two copies of the Nimbus and R4 reverbs, that's no longer an issue with iZotope for me. Their other products allow me to install and activate on both my desktop and laptop. I do understand your point about portability though, as my Waves plugins and their silly 1-seat rule (without WUP) prompted me to go with their USB flash drive license plan. Just need to remember to take it with when I'm away!
  10. Is it NFR? Already have Analog Lab V. Wish there was another option...
  11. The video is quite informative and explains how you can mute the internal drum sounds, and just send the MT Power Drum MIDI out to other drum VST's in your DAW. There are even drum map files available to translate to several other brands of drum plugins.
  12. I have almost all of the iZotope plugins here, and none of them required iLok, although that was an option. Never had an issue just installing/authorizing via their product portal.
  13. The Skippy bonus patches always have a few "extras" tossed into the mix!!!
  14. Here is an old video review of Breaktweaker by John "Skippy" Lehmkuhl (PluginGuru) back in his pre-Unified days.

  16. Price is $.020 cheaper direct at Toontrack. But a better deal at Best Service if you have Best Coins to apply!
  17. Get the latest (1/31) Unify version for LABS here (scroll down the page for a master list of Unified libraries) >>> https://www.pluginguru.com/products/unify-standard/
  18. LABS installs fine here on a single PC. But it's a trainwreck if you try to install it on 2 computers. One PC overrides the other for some reason. Whack-a-mole begins!!! ?
