  1. I'll say it again, this statement is misinformed or irrelevant as to the actual nature of Java on a system.
  2. Looks gewd!!! https://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-Go Perfect deal for anyone wanting to get a real audio interface for $79.99, and includes the PreSonus Studio Magic suite, and a version of Studio One Prime that's tweaked to allow these plugins to run with it. AudioBox Go is a qualifying interface: https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-Magic
  3. I do understand the Re-Compose predicament, but the handoff for existing users of Liquid Notes to W.A. was rather a fumble...
  4. Josh made 2 posts at the forums and never came back... He needs to man up, like IK Peter!
  5. Yep. The message you got about "buffer size 441" means exactly that. Change your buffer size to 512 or something like that, which is a multiple of 8. Your sampling rate is fine. I switched my buffer size to 441, and got exactly the same message from MNDALA as you. I always use a multiple of 8, such as 128, 256, 512, etc. I tested WASAPI shared in CbB, and discovered that the buffer size is locked to the sample rate. The closest that I could come is to use a sample rate of 48,000, which automatically gave me a buffer size of 480. That worked! Must be a Windows thing. I normally use ASIO (with my Focusrite USB), so never noticed this before. ASIO lets me adjust them independently.
  6. I believe that you have confused Java virtual machine with the old Java browser plugin for web (which has been deprecated). Or Javascript, which has really nothing at all to do with Java, except an unfortunate name. The Java browser plugin was a lousy idea, a security risk, and it's use has mostly been eliminated. The Java browser plug-in was designed to allow the JVM to execute so-called Java applets embedded into HTML pages. However, locally installed Java based music applications do not run in your browser. They just require a local Java virtual machine to execute them. The advantage to Java, is that it's write once, run anywhere (that has a platform supported JVM installed). As opposed to other application programs that must be compiled for each target platform. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_virtual_machine "A Java virtual machine (JVM) is a virtual machine that enables a computer to run Java programs as well as programs written in other languages that are also compiled to Java bytecode. The JVM is detailed by a specification that formally describes what is required in a JVM implementation. Having a specification ensures interoperability of Java programs across different implementations so that program authors using the Java Development Kit (JDK) need not worry about idiosyncrasies of the underlying hardware platform." A side note here is that native Android apps are written in Java, and is a requirement for the Android development kit. There is no reason to fear or avoid Java, except maybe you prefer not to have extra stuff installed on your computer.
  7. Even easier than tweaking the sounds in this app was to use the Liquid Rhythm plugin in Cakewalk (or almost any DAW) to sync the transport to the Liquid Rhythm standalone app. You could then mute the sound generation in Liquid Rhythm and use your Addictive Drums kit in Cakewalk, or whatever drum sampler you choose, to play back the LR patterns in the DAW.
  8. That link is for the unsupported legacy version that I already own, 1.4.5. The upgrade from Liquid Rhythm to the Liquid Music bundle is $99 (includes Liquid Rhythm 1.7.0), which is what always stopped me. I bought Liquid Rhythm 5 years ago. This $70 deal for the bundle is probably the best offer that I have seen. Please see their note to customers in prior post above. WaveDNA no longer plans to sell the updated Liquid Rhythm as a separate product. Bundled with Liquid Music only. However the inventor of the WaveDNA technology, David Beckford, unfortunately passed away about 2 years ago. https://www.wavedna.com/david-joseph-beckford-co-founder-of-wavedna/ I think that it was a very innovative idea, as there are not many other options for pure algorithmic MIDI rhythm generators out there, that can drive your drum kits. Melda MDrummer appears to be the closest substitute that I can locate.
  9. Nope. Liquid Music by WaveDNA and Liquid Notes were from two different companies. Liquid Notes was from Re-Compose.
  10. Oops, it appears that Liquid Rhythm 1.4.5 (what I have) has been ended as a separate plug-in, and no longer maintained. I got a crash, and now it won't run at all. Guess now my options are to either get Liquid Music 1.7.0, or go home. Home is where the heart is!
  11. I forgot that I had Liquid Rhythm. Time to re-visit for free!
  12. No problems with IK plug-ins here. And if it is also crashing Cubase for you, it's not something specific to Cakewalk. So in other words, something else is likely wrong with the IK setup/installation at your end. This is an issue that you need to get an IK support ticket opened for.
  13. No, not the radioactive piano team. The OP here was for the Pripyat sound library for the MNDALA player, by Mntra Instruments. The radioactive Pripyat Pianos was the Kontakt library of actual radioactive pianos from Pripyat in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone by Strix Instruments. From the Mntra Instruments description:
  14. I bought Vital Pro, and wish Matt Tytel all the best. It seems that "or Vital" seems to be the "last word" comment on forums these days. That said, I hope that Matt can leverage this kind of support for long term success!
  15. Just an update here... I bought the Atma instrument pack from Plugin Boutique for $10 (Feb deal), which includes their MNDALA player. A sampling engine by Mntra, a small team from Toronto. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/64-Virtual-Instrument/8115-Atma So far, so good. No crashes! The Frcture and Rasa instrument packs are also free at the moment. So 3 sound packs for $10. https://www.mntra.io/instruments "All of our Sound Sculpture instruments are loaded with our free MNDALA Engine, allowing you to quickly switch between many different sonic landscapes. Simply download it for free and load in any Sound Sculpture Instrument." So you can download the free instruments + the free MNDALA Player to check it out first. No risk!
  16. I have both Vangelis Tribute banks, and the Synthwave 2085 bank. Just added the 2 Richard Devine Signature banks, for the DX7 and Buchla. Some good stuff there! I marked 8 of 32 new DX7 presets as favorites, and 13 of 36 new presets as favorites for the Buchla. Not too bad for $2.49 each!
  17. Congrats! That was fun, right? I hope I learned a bit more about patching a modular synth from scratch. I usually tend to open up one of the many VM presets and experiment with them, but it would be useful to know how to intuitively build a modular sound from <blank>. ? I'm looking forward to checking out some of the other 27 Music Radar synth patches that make use Dune CM, Bazille CM, & Thorn CM. ?
  18. Yep, there is. Buy Arturia Analog Lab and the JMJ Tribute Bank.
  19. The lead synth sound for this song, using Dune CM! https://www.musicradar.com/how-to/the-40-greatest-synth-sounds-of-all-time-no-19-europe-the-final-countdown
