    Izotope R4

I've got Neoverb, as well as Phoenix, Nimbus, and R4. I do like Neoverb, but it seems difficult to match it up with the presets from Phoenix or Nimbus as a replacement. Sounds a bit different to me.
  2. That's great, but I'm not wasting any more time on it personally. I'm done here, just wanted to share my experience in case it informs others!
  3. Correction. 1.5 CS is free, no new kits included. But it broke my existing full install!
  4. Same message for me! ? But I got MODO Drum with the Total Studio 2 MAX Maxgrade deal in October 2020. That was prior to the group buy 2021.
  5. I installed the MODO Drum 1.5 update that IK dropped into my account today, and it promptly broke my existing MODO Drum full install. So I uninstalled it and rolled back to 1.1.3. Details: I have the MODO Drums library content installed on my D (data) drive. After the update, MODO informed me that my content was missing and that I needed to reinstall. So I reinstalled, but it wouldn't let me put the content on my D drive path, it automatically selected my C (boot) drive. Cancelled. So I rolled back. Wasted an hour. ? Then I found out it is a paid upgrade to 1.5. SMH...
  6. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you. I think it's one of the coolest freeware programs to come along in a while. It only added the most recent MS Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable to mine. I already had all of the others installed. A standard practice if an application requires a later VC runtime library than what is already installed on the target system, so not a big concern for me. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/redistributing-visual-cpp-files?view=msvc-170 And it can be a hog when initially scanning. Cosmos took several hours to index and tag 40,000+ loops and samples here, with all 6 cores nearly full blast and fans revving up. I am running a fairly recent 9th gen Intel Core i5-9600K at 4.3GHz. I listened in on a Waves "ask me anything" Discord with the product manager yesterday. Waves is using some state of the art "AI" training to analyze each music sample and tag it, it's not just reading the file name. It will not even run on older CPU's that lack "AVX" (Advanced Vector Extensions).
  7. 2. Undetermined here... I think there may be something strange with the way this CR8 plugin is identified in any given DAW that varies. Plus the fact that the actual plugin is masked by the complexity of the WavesShell plugin thingy. Not really a big concern, as I can use some version of it anywhere! But I don't quite grasp why it is disappearing on yours. ? For example I have 5 different DAWs installed, Ableton Live 11 Suite, Cakewalk by BandLab, Reaper, Studio One Pro 5, and Waveform 11 Pro. I use the same plugin scan paths in each of these... Ableton recognizes both CR8 VST and VST3 versions. CbB only recognizes the CR8 VST2. Reaper recognizes the CR8 VST2 as an FX, but the VST3 as an instrument. Studio One only shows theCR8 VST3 because that DAW is set to ignore VST2 if both are available (CbB can be set either way, and I tried both - no luck). Waveform shows both CR8 VST and VST3 versions. 3. Waves Central puts a notification that updates are available, but it's up to you to install them. It synchronizes with your Waves online account whenever you launch it, and checks for updates at that time.
  8. 1. Not here. 2. Cakewalk only shows the VST2 version here. Refuses to show the VST3, although it is installed in the correct folder. VST3 shows up fine in Reaper and elsewhere. Tried reset and rescan in Cakewalk preferences. No improvement. Weird! 3. Install Waves Central. All update notifications and update downloads are issued there, as well as installation and activation.
  9. Or Bioscape by Luftrum! Definitely not free! A Kontakt Player compatible library. Includes a folder of *ASMR ( Autonomous sensory meridian response) presets. https://www.luftrum.com/bioscape/ *ASMR - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASMR But Luftrum does also offer a large 22GB fully licensed library of environmental field recordings samples, for a minimum $5 donation to World Wildlife Fund, for use in any DAW or sampler. https://www.luftrum.com/free-field-recordings/
  10. OK, after having tested it, gotta agree with Zo! This sounds like a very cool idea, but have no idea how they produced all this slick KIA media with it. This product seems to be a bare bones beta, IMHO.
  11. Let's back up for a sec. I was merely suggesting using the available tools to Unify this bank for my own personal use, since I own a license for it. The Unified banks are only publicly released for factory banks, as the "Unification process" entails capturing some plugin data. Anyone can "Unify" presets for plugins and preset banks that they own. But for personal use only. Info on the "Hardwire" bank available at Kilohearts (most of the synth sequence in the promo video is preset "Star Chaser"): https://kilohearts.com/products/hardwire

  13. Keep at it! The industrious Cakewalk YouTuber, "Creative Sauce" is celebrating his 100,000 subscriber milestone! You can do it! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCESNxzJHzDnCIuRO0RhQLeA
  14. I may have to kick the tires on this AutoHotKey. I got Phase Plant in the Valentines Day Sale*, which included 3 extra non-factory banks. I would love to at least have "Hardwire" unified. It's a cool retro analog-ish sound bank. Shows that Phase Plant can do analog! It's only 50 presets, so if all else fails I can probably save them manually! *at AudioPluginDeals. Deal has ended.
  15. @scook I didn't miss it, because I wasn't actually looking for it. The scope of the effort was basically trying to cover the actual plug-ins. There are probably a few more things that Sonar core installed that were "features" rather than discreet plugins. Not covered on the spreadsheet either.
  16. Sounds like you had some bits flipped (soft error). Glad to hear they are un-flipped now! That MIDI-OX sure is a handy tool! Great for narrowing down a problem... Bit flipping, cosmic ray flux, etc. >>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_error
  17. That's not really an improvement! ?
  18. Wowza! How big is your Kontakt folder? Cosmos indexed my folder on SSD in about an hour, and I actually did my entire Native Instruments folder, picked up 7,342 samples in there. You may want to kill the process and restart that scan. I had one scan go to sleep on me, and it showed active, but with very little active CPU and no disk use detected in Windows performance monitor. And don't let your PC idle to sleep during the scan.
  19. Instead of 5 minutes in the manual, the curriculum now consists of 45 minutes of video tutorials! But that's all good. There's a lot of useful tips in the videos that the manual doesn't explicitly cover. At least, not in one place.
  20. I don't know anything about that specific keyboard model, but since you already did a reset it's unlikely to be a mapping issue. But here's a suggestion for testing the MIDI input to your computer and bypassing your DAW... Run the free utility "MIDI-OX" to display the MIDI messages as you press all the keys on your keyboard, one at a time. You should see a MIDI message for note on and note off for each of them. If the keyboard is not sending note messages for all keys, it might be time to check out your warranty since it's only a couple of months old. http://www.midiox.com/
  21. Don't forget to add your Kontakt folder to scan into Cosmos. You might be surprised what it finds! The encrypted factory samples won't show up, but I found a number of 3rd party Kontakt libraries have wave files that do show up, such as some freebies from 8DIO. Even .ogg previews for NKS instruments (for example Analog Dreams) appear in Cosmos. Note: the .ogg samples will drag and drop into Cakewalk audio tracks, as well as the CR8 sampler and the sample oscillator in Vital. But other synths that accept drag and drop samples such as Phase Plant and Pigments will not accept .ogg as oscillator samples.
  22. Drag and drop from Cosmos to a Cakewalk audio track works.
  23. It showed up by default as a grayed out "0" for me, but I had to actually enter "0" for it to accept that value.
  24. Last year I bought the other Unify library by Matthias Sauer, UniChill V1. His sounds are great! https://www.pluginguru.com/products/unichill-v1/
