There was also an EZDrummer software update waiting when I checked.

FYI, Reid (aka Tiger the Frog) has been a member of this "Deals" group for as long as I can remember, even going back to the legacy Cakewalk forum days... He has also been quite active over on the VI-Control forum, especially with his "Black Friday" deals posts. So he is a solid deals aficionado... and his off-topic meanderings are quite interesting and educational! Tip: There is a little button up on the top right corner of this page that may show "Following". If you do not care to follow any longer, just click it to set to "Unfollow", and you will no longer receive any notifications for this thread! Just one click, and we can all get along again!

Nobody made you read this post. So why are you commenting here if not interested? Unfollow and move along...

Izotope Music Production Suite Meets Komplete Offers
abacab replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I got a 2nd license for Nimbus and R4 when I upgraded. So I'm fine with 2 licenses (even though they are iLok). -

I think that Pripyat Pianos belong to a similar genre and use case as the IK Cinekinetik: Shipwreck Pianos. Dark and moody, good for texture.

OK, I found the 8DIO version here finally. https://8dio.com/instrument/free-asmr-for-kontakt-vst-au-aax/ But it appears to be hidden on the website headline listing the FREE 8DIO products but, they list the SoundPaint version. Probably based on the same sample set, but the instrument categories possibly appear to be different between the Kontakt and SoundPaint programs.

Yep, it is @Simeon Amburgeywho is responsible for me buying this library a while back!

ASMR is an interesting "Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response" library for SoundPaint. But definitely mainly for sound design. Free Angels was a different libary offered free for both platforms, but ASMR is new, and strictly for SoundPaint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASMR So if you like abstract sounds and textures for backgrounds and ambient stuff it's perfect! But IMHO, that's the whole point of SoundPaint... "to paint with sound".

This one is bittersweet, especially if you remember the Chernobyl disaster plus the current situation there. FYI, Strix Instruments are made in Ukraine (Kyiv). https://strixinstruments.com/ https://strixinstruments.com/about-company/

A great EQ! I bought it used for cheap, but free is even better!

Izotope Music Production Suite Meets Komplete Offers

Could be that lots of folks that might be interested already have Komplete and/or Music Productions Suite. Or are all broke from your other deals... ? -
Can I make the words any clearer in Tal Vocoder?
abacab replied to DallasSteve's topic in Instruments & Effects
There is. Read Lynn's post again. You can do that with send busses. On your audio track "Insert Send" > "New Stereo Bus". Do that twice. Now insert FX on one bus and mix to taste. -
Is Sonar required to be installed first? If so, the format/re-stall wiped it. It is recommended to install Sonar first to pick up any Sonar only plugins, then Cakewalk by BandLab.

SINE player doesn't play MIDI song
abacab replied to Örjan Widegren's topic in Instruments & Effects
Notice that each Sine Player instrument that is listed in the articulation list has its own MIDI channel setting (SINE is muli-timbral, most VSTi's are not). So unless your MIDI file is sending data for all channels 1-4, you will only hear the instrument respond to the corresponding channel used in the MIDI file. For example, if your MIDI file is only using ch 1, you will need to set all the instrument articulations to ch 1, otherwise the others will not make any sound. Alternatively, if the MIDI file is multi channel (i.e., ch 1-4), you will need to match up the assigned MIDI channels in the articulations to get them to play the appropriate sound. -
