Culling my plugins ... pruning subs and direct debits .. it adds up

I have received a $25 coupon ever time I have ever purchased from them. They do have an expiration though. So use it while you can. @mibby That unit your looking at looks like one of the newer USB units they have come out with. And what they give you when you purchase the unit will be more than enough to get you started. 1. Yes 2. Kinda yeah and no. The price your seeing at Sweetwater for that USB is about the going rate for most of the Apollo Duos. I haven't seen it for much lower than that on the retail market. I started with a Apollo USB Twin Duo (two channels, two processes), then moved to the Twin X TB 3(two channels, quad procs). The Twin X has much better routing options than the old USB Twin had. With this new USB Apollo that's made for Windows USB, not sure if they implemented those routings options or not. Since you already have UAD plugins, join thier forum and ask there. It may take a day or two but there is always a UAD rep there that can answer any questions you have. In reference to being a long time user and seeing these prices; I have no gripe about it. I have never paid full price for any UAD plugin. And the prices that I did pay for them are more than worth it. I have gotten my money's worth. And besides, every plugin that I do have a license for, when they come out with the native version of it, I get that for free.

I think they have had this sale before. I remember looking at all three before. Might grab them.

That comp looks interesting. A new UI for a comp. Might demo that. Tomofon has peaked my curiosity too. Never heard of this company. It appears authorization is pretty simple. Anyone tried anything from them?

Yeah, I got my wife a record player for Christmas last year. And I too abandoned records long ago. But I gotta admit, there is something special about putting an album on and just letting it play and sitting there listening to the whole thing. We had not done that since we were in our twenties. Hell, I hadn't done that since I quit my cannabis indulgence!

Yep. That was ground breaking, innovative, and definitely more entertaining than what is considered pop today. -
You've been doing that a lot lately.

Yes it is part of a bundle. I have it with the latest d/l'd update: 16.08 Which bundle I have no clue. However through process of elimination I can say it ain't the Free Bundle (I have the paid version). So that leaves one of these two Bundles: Mixing or Creative. I have both of those. And even though I have not sat and really listened and play through MGA, I have looked around at it and can see this is well laid out. Waiting and wanting to try it out. Everyday something pops up that I have to deal with that takes my time...

I laughed all the way through that one!!! Dat some funny shzzzzt!! -
Well I am thinking because they can get stolen. ZZ Top had a truck load of amps stolen. Some of those amps were custom amps built for Billy. Don't know if he ever got them back. And since they are not gonna play those type of scarce amps on the road, they might as well sign an endorsement deal with the highest bidder. And play those amps! Or play through a cell phone and just rent dummy cabs to put up for show. Less heavy equipment, less need to fuel up trucks, cheaper to tour, more profit. On some of these tours, the margin for profit is thin. I am not talking Madonna, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood.

I wonder who drove the price up!! At least he plays most of what he has. But the collector who doesn't play, just points to it and says "See what I got!! Bet you wish you had that!" smh

That stuff melts.

You might have a good point there!! As much as Larry posts, the software is thinking he is a spammer!!! LOL!!
-
If that. I agree.

For me, the ability to record with the unison technology in the Apollos was a game changer. I just really didn't realize how much of a difference it would make. So the UAD plugins are great sounding for sure. But the ability to use them to record with, for me, was like opening Pandora's box!!

Wishful thinking!!

The new softeware is a little better at keeping the spamers at bay. I think maybe the trade-off is when they are trying to get in forcefully, it may slow down as a result of the software keeping the spammer out. Now this is just my uneducated assumption about how things work based on extensive reading of all kinds of BS I came across!!
