Received email from Dream Theater: Dream Theater are announcing the return of drummer Mike Portnoy to the group. Portnoy will reunite with guitarist John Petrucci and bassist John Myung – the trio formed the band at the Berklee College Of Music in 1985 - along with longtime members, vocalist James LaBrie and keyboardist Jordan Rudess. Dream Theater will be going into the studio to begin working on their 16th studio album and the first with Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

Have a great time Larry. I heard it is beautiful up there.

Impressed? Nope. But give them props for acceptable results. I have to say I was more impressed with IK Lurssen Mastering. Work your trks with Izotope Neutron, then feed into Lurssen...

I had to go back and look at the article to make sure the Chrssie Hyde they placed at 172 was the one I was thinking about. Yep, they are the same. Such a shame they thought she was worthy and not Joe Pass and Al Di Meola. And she ranked higher than Django and Wes Montgomery!! If ya gonna put her on the list, put her down at the bottom!! SMFH!! -

Jeff Beck should be up there. That man could play. Most of the stuff he played live was improvised. His ability to coax sounds and emotions from those strings in his hands was magical. His technical ability was beyond question. His live playing was just as good, if not better, than anything he ever recorded. He should be the standard by which others were judged. There is no doubt that Chuck Berry influenced many top name guitarists. And there is no doubt that Sister Rosetta influenced Chuck, and many others. Django should have been up there. Way up there!! Randy Jackson of Zebra could play Zepplin much better than Page ever did live. I watched them play many many clubs in the Nola area when they were starting out. And they play it just like the record, note for note. I have never seen a video of Page doing his own songs as good as I have seen Randy play them. That's not to take anything away from Pages creativity. In that regard he's a genius. Great guitarist.... IDK 'bout that. Agreed. I like the Edge, Some of U2's songs are some of my favs. But Danny was a much better guitarist. -
Yep!!

Not sure. As I am now getting through on my Music PC also!! Only thing I did was install some software and restarted PC after the install. SO not really sure why I got that message.

We can dream!! But I think the way AI is going, it will happen much sooner than much later. -
As I have a Mk IIB head that has the greatest clean tone and a Mk IV combo, I will sit this one out. Just for the head the price is really up there. Not that they were ever cheap!! I paid $600 for my Mk IIB back in the day. And not long ago I could have gotten a Mk IV with top grade hardwood head and cab for what they are asking for the new VII combo. It does have some nice features though. The ability to select which tube combination you want each channel to use is unique.

Yes, they missed a number. Why? I have no idea. But this is a new product since the Gibson acquisition. Is this a deal? That depends on you.... https://www.guitarcenter.com/MESA-Boogie/Mark-VII-90W-Guitar-Tube-Head-Black-1500000383657.gc

No you don't. The only reason you would want the UAD version is if you have an Apollo.
