I had Iron 1 too and was so hoping for a nice upgrade price. I didn't expect them to sell it that cheap without an upgrade.
-
Finally, Iron 2 is mine ?
-
That was a little disappointing. Just four loops. The Ableton Live file has the same four tracks, three as MIDI files. And the instruments couldn't be loaded on Windows because they used the proprietary MAC format AU instead of VST3.

Their free sample packs are the best.

True, Scaler is a little complex and maybe too much if you just want to know what chord the MIDI is playing. But SongKey will only work on audio, whereas Scaler can detect the chords from audio and MIDI and will write each chord down into a chord progression if you use detect mode. In my experience, both, SongKey and Scaler fail to correctly detect a chord from audio fairly often.

Have you tried Scaler 2?

I haven't heard of them before. But I've tried the free Orchid soundbank and tested it with some MIDI clips from Cymatics. I liked some of the results even more than the demo. I've added quite a few of the presets to my favs.

When in doubt, always ask our trusty friend musicsoftwaredeals.com The price history shows that it's not a hefty discount but more like a PA/Waves type of price policy.

Yes, but you can sell a redemption code. That's not a license transfer because the software has never been registered with an account. When you buy the bundle you get a redemption code, go to your account, enter that code and voila, the software is yours. But if you don't redeem it and give that code to someone else, the other person can redeem it. Cherry Audio has no way of telling if the person who redeemed the code is also the person who bought it. That's why you still find people sell Cherry Audio software on KVR and Knobcloud.

Thank you so much ??

It hurts sometimes to know that I won't get any medals for owning all those plugins. ?

Weren't you the one who said that NI Massive can be counted as a freebie because every focusrite user has it? If we can add Massive to the list of free instruments because it comes bundled with Focusrite, then why can't we apply the same logic to DAWs? ?
-
So ... it can slow down my samples? Is that all? What's the advantage over just warping it right inside my sampler?
-
So true. Buying an Arturia MiniLab MKII, which had Ableton Live Lite bundled with it for free was one of my best decisions. In the end I upgraded to standard and then to suite. But even with the Lite version you can already do quite a lot. Plus, it makes me more confident to work with a DAW that is being used in like half the demos and tutorials on the internet.
-
Oh, I didn't realize ? Anyway, someone bought the four items together.
-
Am I allowed to advertise here that I am willing to sell DCO-106 and Polymode for €3.50 each? Or is that against the forum rules? The thing is, I bought the bundle to get Eight Voice and Mercury-4, but I already have the other two. I also already had Mixcraft and Pianissimo. For 7€ you can have all four, Mixcraft, Pianissimo, DCO-106 and Polymode together.
-
True. Even if you include the transfer fee, it'd be cheaper to get them on KnobCloud.
-
They're just giving people time to buy new hard drives.

SlapAsSound offers a free sound effects instrument: SFX1. It contains quite a lot of sound effects. SFX2 offers even more, but isn't free. You get it cheaper with the coupon code todayforyou ($39 instead of $99). Then there are some freebies that aren't listed on the website, for some reason. I only know them from the newsletter. The latest is SynthaX. The newsletter says "This unique instrument primarily features synthesized sounds, including some impressive bass patches, air bells, pluck, vox etc." Then there's X Vibe. Quote: "This VST features a variety of mallet instruments, including xylophones, marimbas, bells, vibraphones and more." And finally Guitarox. "it's all about guitars – no drums or pianos here, just guitars in various forms." To keep up to date with new freebies from SlapAsSound, I recommend subscribing to the newsletter. The newsletters are fun, I like his style. SlapAsSound is Marko Karja from Estonia. He seems to be a nice guy.

Now this is awkward. I never listen to western music on Spotify. Never. And Spotify never suggests it to me in my weekly mixtape. But now suddenly I got two suggestions. Probably a cookie thing. Still, spooky. Or is it a new trend and El Diablo is an early adopter/trendsetter? One of the two suggestions actually isn't that bad. "West 64" by Thomas Vent. It mixes Western music with Hip Hop beats.
