Clip gain adjustment problem in Sonar that was never a problem in CbB
T Boog replied to T Boog's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Thanks for responding Jonathan. I recorded a track in Sonar and it does the same thing. When I try to adjust clip gain using control & drag, the gain line wont move and it says -INF. I find it often works the first time I adjust the gain on the clip but then it becomes unresponsive. Btw, I'm also getting the occational pop and click when I switch between tracks during playback. Could it maybe be a bad install of Sonar? Also, I don't know if this could be a factor but several months ago I disabled Windows updates because that latest Windows update was causing problems with CbB (lots of Cakewalk users were reporting the same problem). So I restored my Windows 10 to just before the update and disabled Windows auto updates. Could this be causing the issue with Sonar? -
Clip gain adjustment problem in Sonar that was never a problem in CbB
T Boog replied to T Boog's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I'm at least glad to hear it's working correctly for you. Hopefully someone will chime in with an idea on how to fix it. Note: it's happening on all 3 projects that I started in CbB. I wonder if that could have something to do with it? I've yet to start a new project in Sonar. -

I recently downloaded the free Sonar and so far the only problem I'm having is adjusting the clip gain on the fly by using 'Control + Left click & drag'. In CbB this worked perfectly, every single time I tried it. However, in Sonar, it usually doesn't work. The horizontal red gain line appears but it's not responsive to the mouse being dragged up or down. In order to get it to work, I have to first drag the edge of the clip to the left or right and then it usually lets me adjust the gain. Is this a common problem in new Sonar and is there a way for me to correct this issue? Thanks

When I was a kid I loved watching the Marx Brothers but I forgot just how badass a pianist Chico was. Harpo was considered a world class harpist too. Those brothers were extremely talented

I hated to start a thread for this simple(& prob dumb) question but maybe someone else might have the same question. Anyway, I've already started editing my CbB projects in free Sonar and I've been saving them to the same "Cakewalk Projects" file I was using for CbB. I just wanna make sure this doesn't present any potential problems. Since CbB will be discontinued, I don't see a need to keep things seperate anyway. I'd rather just keep doing what I've been doing. Thanks
