  1. That's one of the things that makes me look forward to dying the most... No more commercials 😊
  2. Thanks for posting. I didn't know Rick passed on. Btw, he was a very devoted man of God so I'm sure he's in a much better place. Cheers to Rick 🍻
  3. Thanks Jonesey. Fwiw, before I posted this, I looked online to find an answer and it mentioned the offline vs online thing. But I had no idea what that meant πŸ˜„. I'm gonna have to research that some more. Thanks man
  4. Wow Will! Sometimes I forget about that. Yeah, a lot of those little clips are actually big clips just cropped down. And I bet the clips that I've applied Melodyne to are the ones that don't give me any problems because they've already been rendered to small clips. Thanks for that man!
  5. Cheers guys. Often times when I stretch an audio clip then play it back, I get clicking/popping sounds. This also frequently happens when I add effects to a clip. A few minutes ago, I stretched an audio clip and it started clicking. But this time I tried something new.... I undid the stretched edit, then I bounced the clip to itself first. Then I stretched the clip and it worked perfectly with no clicking. I realized that I mostly have this clicking problem on my lead vocal track. And my lead vocal tracks are usually chopped up into dozens & dozens of clips. I'm probably answering my own question but is this the likely cause of the clicking problem (The fact that there's SO many clips on the track)? And if so, can someone briefly explain to me why bouncing the clip back to itself helps correct this problem? Thanks!
  6. Stone Temple Pilots, Trippin On A Hole In A Paper Heart
  7. Boy Rain, you didn't even mention cash. Do you keep a little cash with you? Or is cash money now obsolete in that Jetsons' world you live in? 😁
  8. Cheers Rain. Yeah, I think being young was a big part of it. However, I also think "nowadays" is just a different time. Everything is more safe and predictable now. Esp with cell phones. Back in the day, you would drive for an hour to see your friend, hoping he was home because he didn't have a phone. If he wasn't home, you'd go back home then try again in a couple hours πŸ˜„. And how about the lost art of leaving notes with phone numbers on doors? πŸ˜† ...."Hey Mike, I must have just missed you. I'm gonna drive to Ted's to see if you're there. If you're not there, I'll go check by Tommy's house for you. If u don't hear from me by 3 oclock, I'll prob be at Sally's house. Her number is 852-2847. But Sally might have to work early, in which case I'll probably be at Paul's house. Paul doesn't have a phone so if u can't reach me at Sally's house, f*ck it, we'll just try again tomorrow ". 🀣
  9. Recording Kill Em All
  10. Man, we Americans get no respect. We go to another country to replace something that been stolen and we get arrested for it. If I didn't have back problems, I'd go dig up Jim's coffin myself and bring it back to America where it belongs. 🀨
  11. Digital amp tone is getting VERY good for affordable prices. These are some killer Marshall tones for $99
  12. John Lee Hooker, Wednesday Evening Blues

  14. Well guys, looks like I've been duped once again. I've always been a HUGE fan of Mark Paul Gosselaar's guitar playing in the Zack Attack. However, I just found out that he didn't actually play the lead guitar in this song. I'm starting to feel like my whole life has been one big f**king lie. πŸ˜”
  15. That's a great analogy Rain. And yeah, Ace Frehley had already established himself as a great player and a great songwriter too. Ace was definitely the lead guitar sound of Kiss and he influenced many guitarists. All of my favorite Kiss songs have Ace on lead. And I loved Frehley's Comet too. I also heard that Ace didn't like their later producer and was planning to quit anyway. So yeah, although Ace was no Ed Van Halen, he was def an original and a perfect fit for Kiss. Long live the Spaceman πŸ˜‰
  16. Cheers Wolf. I'm not sure exactly how the legalities work with that stuff. All I know is, until I see you on the cover of Guitar World magazine taking credit for someone else's playing, I personally have no beef with you. 😁
  17. I hear u Brian. My point was that ALL the best Warrant guitar solos(all of my faves) were played by the same guy who was not a member of the band. And the band was misleading about it. So I thought I was a Joey Allen fan but I was actually a Mike Slamer fan. Mike was Warrant's lead guitar ringer. He defined their lead guitar sound. Gilmour just brought in diff guest musicians but his playing skills were never in question. There's a reason he's many people's favorite guitarist, incl yours. I have nothing against guest musicians who bring in fresh ideas. Producers themselves usually offer fresh ideas and often contribute to songwriting and arranging. But a "ringer" is a whole diff animal in my book.
  18. Yeah, I knew on Brick in the Wall they brought in a guy to give some rythm guitar ideas behind the solo. But the solo is all Gilmour. IMO, David proved he was a great guitarist before they even made the wall. Cheers
  19. Yeah, that's fine by me. As long as he's not air guitaring to someone else's playing
  20. Oh, I forgot to respond to this part. I def respect your honesty. I dealt with addiction years ago myself. I don't judge anyone for past addiction esp when theyre honest about it. I also wanted to say something about integrity. I think we all have integrity in diff areas of our lives and we all can lie to ourselves in diff areas. Ive just always been someone with a very soft conscience. I feel guilty VERY easily. I actually sold cars for a few years and my sales managers used to get frustrated with me cause I had trouble lying to people. I esp hated making extra finance points on single moms and poor people, only to see rich people come in and pay only $200 over invoice. I HATED the injustice of it. But I'd be lying if I didn't say that I compromised my own principles on occasion. So I can't throw stones at others. We're ALL sinners in my book.
  21. I agree, it is a fascinating subject. And yeah, I think Joey & Erik's shame was it's own punishment. I also have to add... The more of a fan u are of an artist that does that, the more u feel deceived & duped. Me & my best friend were big fans of "Joey's" guitar work. It's kind of like being attracted to a woman because she has a great butt and later marrying her only to find out that she had butt implants the whole time. πŸ˜‚ I also think that you, a non fan, are able to be more philosophical about it because you were never emotionally invested in it (imagine finding out that Joe Pass or Wes Montgomery was a faker). For me & my buddy, 80's Hard Rock guitarists were like sports heros to us. And now we find out that Joey and Erik were on the juice bigtime. I dont believe Warrant ever won any awards but if they had, I think they should be stripped away ala Lance Armstrong. πŸ˜„
  22. I had to come back to concede something to you Krupa. You worded it as "offered the choice". And I feel very certain where I would stand on that. But the truth is, I can't truly judge someone unless I know the whole situation. The more I think about it, I bet Joey & Erik were VERY sweet talked and probably guilt tripped too. They probably told them things like, "Mike will just play on a couple solos and it'll just be for this one album. And Mike will even give you guys lessons so pretty soon we wont even need him". And "You don't wanna hold back your friends do you?" Also I know how it is to be like brothers in a band. You dont wanna hold them back and you also don't wanna lose your best friends and the songs u wrote together. Btw, I just looked it up and Joey is from Indiana and Warrant was together for 3 1/2 years before getting signed. So I'm sure the band had become his new family. That really is a bi*ch of position to be put in. But I guess my main point is that there SHOULD be a price to be paid for misleading your fans like that. It SHOULD hurt your reputation. If not, the concept of integrity means nothing. If someone considers themself an artist, then artistic honesty should be greatly valued otherwise it's all just merchandising and BS. That's why the music business is what it is these days. Intellectual property & artistic integrity have become greatly undervalued. It seems like everyone is just trying to shortcut putting in the hard work. Plus, now the world has AI to write it's songs. That's a very sad thing to me.
