  4. Nice job bud. Very full sounding recording. And both the lead and rhythm guitar sound great. The solo sounds very much like a Tele bridge pickup but what is the rhythm guitar? Is it a Tele Neck pickup? It has a nice chime but it doesn't sound like a Strat neck pickup to me. It almost sounds like a P-90 neck pickup. I'm also curious what amp or amp sim you used. It sounds like a real, nice Fender to me.
  5. Cheer guys. Im not necessarily trying to revive this thread, I just wanted to post this because I thought it was pretty cool: I asked ChatGPT,... "I sometimes use AI voices when I record, but I get lots of anomalies. Will the technology get better in the near future?" ChatGPT said, " Yeah, the tech is already improving fast, and it’s only going to get better. Right now, AI voice generation can still have weird artifacts — like inconsistent tone, unnatural pacing, or strange pronunciation — especially if the voice model wasn’t trained on diverse data or if it's being pushed to do something complex (like emotional range, multiple accents, or long reads). But: Voice models are evolving quickly — newer ones are much more natural and expressive. Personalized voice cloning is getting better too — meaning more realistic and consistent voices tailored to you or a character. Real-time corrections and better editing tools are being integrated into platforms, so cleaning up anomalies will be easier and faster. So yeah, the weirdness you're experiencing now will likely fade out as tools become smoother and more advanced". Next, I asked ChatGPT, "Why does my left foot have 7 toes and do women find that attractive?" But I'll save that for another thread 😄
  6. I just realized that was a Smokey & the Bandit reference. That went completely over my head. 😁
  7. No, that's my cousins. I myself drive a nice white Jeep. My CB handle is "Bo Peep " but honey, you can just call me 'Daisy'. 😘
  8. Awesome craig, Im glad to hear it man. And believe it or not, I have the EXACT same job as you with all the same perks. Except down here, we call it "Running Moonshine". 🫙 😄
  9. Cheers Craig. I'm curious how u been. You're doing ok now bud?
  10. Dont feel alone my friend, I know ur pain. Although I've never played real hockey, I once pinched my finger very badly playing air hockey. Then to make matters worse, when the kid I was playing called me a sissy for crying, I charged with both fist swinging. I almost got a lick in but then she pulled my shirt over my head and that's the last thing I remember. I was around 16 at the time. I actually think I could've won that fight but she was VERY big boned for a 12 year old. Anyway, I still have a little white spot behind my fingernail where the air puck struck me. I consider it my own little Stanley Cup. Afterall, she was gone when I regained consciousness so technically she forfeited the game. Ah, victory is sweet! 😎

  14. Oh cool. Yeah, Lafayette is about 2 hrs northwest from me. I'm in Bayou Lafourche/ Bayou Terrebonne area. But I was born in New Iberia which is very close to Lafayette. And yeah, I feel you on the open tuning thing. However there is something cool about not knowing the neck well in an open tuning. When u can't fall back on standard shapes and theory, u end up using ur ear more and it usually ends ups sounding more unique and inspired. When it comes to creativity, I find sometimes ignorance is bliss.
  15. Cheers pwal 🍻. I hope ur doing well my friend. Btw, Thanks for turning me on to this guy. I've become a Damien Jurado fan. 👍
  16. Cheers Mark. First, if that's ur cigarbox lap steel in the pic, you did a great job. It looks awesome. Second, I love the vibe of the song and the imagery. And as always, I love ur voice. You have a great Stephen Stills type voice with a cool, lazy delivery. I LOVE it! Anyway, if it were me, in time Id def revisit this song and give it a couple of verses using a diff vocal melody(or perhaps just spoken word) and I'd prob put a diff chord progression in the verses to create a bit of musical variation, while being careful not to get too fancy and lose that laid back feel. I'd use those verses to try to tell a cool story(maybe of a journey down south and how a voodoo woman did me wrong) . Yeah, right now it feels like it's all variations of the chorus. A couple of verses would help give the song more depth(musically & lyrically) and it'd make it feel more complete. Maybe some reading on Swamp folklore could get ur gears turning again. Btw, I know a little something about the swamp. I live right in the middle of it. I'm in Cajun country in South Louisiana. Hey, maybe we could swap houses for a while. Afterall, you want someone to take you TO the swamp and I want someone to take me OUT of the damn swamp. 🐊 👀 (😁)
  17. Cheers Mike. Yeah ironically when I owned the POD XT Live, I never played it live either 😄. I was between bands at the time.
