  1. Life's a f**king trip! I haven't heard that Verve song in years and I SWEAR just 2 hrs ago I came across this video... How can that be a coincidence? Unreal!
  2. Did you know...
  3. Well that was different 😁 (But I liked itπŸ‘)

  8. Thanks for responding Jonathan. I recorded a track in Sonar and it does the same thing. When I try to adjust clip gain using control & drag, the gain line wont move and it says -INF. I find it often works the first time I adjust the gain on the clip but then it becomes unresponsive. Btw, I'm also getting the occational pop and click when I switch between tracks during playback. Could it maybe be a bad install of Sonar? Also, I don't know if this could be a factor but several months ago I disabled Windows updates because that latest Windows update was causing problems with CbB (lots of Cakewalk users were reporting the same problem). So I restored my Windows 10 to just before the update and disabled Windows auto updates. Could this be causing the issue with Sonar?
  9. I'm at least glad to hear it's working correctly for you. Hopefully someone will chime in with an idea on how to fix it. Note: it's happening on all 3 projects that I started in CbB. I wonder if that could have something to do with it? I've yet to start a new project in Sonar.

  11. I recently downloaded the free Sonar and so far the only problem I'm having is adjusting the clip gain on the fly by using 'Control + Left click & drag'. In CbB this worked perfectly, every single time I tried it. However, in Sonar, it usually doesn't work. The horizontal red gain line appears but it's not responsive to the mouse being dragged up or down. In order to get it to work, I have to first drag the edge of the clip to the left or right and then it usually lets me adjust the gain. Is this a common problem in new Sonar and is there a way for me to correct this issue? Thanks
  12. When I was a kid I loved watching the Marx Brothers but I forgot just how badass a pianist Chico was. Harpo was considered a world class harpist too. Those brothers were extremely talented

  13. I hated to start a thread for this simple(& prob dumb) question but maybe someone else might have the same question. Anyway, I've already started editing my CbB projects in free Sonar and I've been saving them to the same "Cakewalk Projects" file I was using for CbB. I just wanna make sure this doesn't present any potential problems. Since CbB will be discontinued, I don't see a need to keep things seperate anyway. I'd rather just keep doing what I've been doing. Thanks
  14. Oh no John! You're stuck in this DAW hell with us. FWIW, You can sign out any time you like... but you can NEVER leave πŸ€ͺ
  15. Cheers Wolf. Here's a pic...
  16. Cheers Mike. Man, that's a beautiful bass. Glad it didn't get too damaged, I know those basses are far from cheap.
  17. Btw Mettelus, Fender Custom Shop did a small run of pine Strats a few years back. It was reclaimed pine from an old barn.
  18. Cheers Mettelus. Yeah, I had been playing basswood guitars for a couple decades before I tried pine. I'm sure u know basswood is pretty soft too. I figured pine would be fine with a relic job since dings only add to the character. I've been thru the tonewood debates back in the day but IMO, if you have a good touch, good pickups(they don't have to be expensive) and a good amp, you can get a great tone. And if I am sacrificing a little bit of tone, it's worth it for me to have a light & balanced guitar. Even when I'm sitting down, I want it to be light & balanced. Btw, my best friend has a 14 lb Les Paul Standard! It sounds awesome but he has to practically beg me to play it πŸ˜„
  19. Cheers Treesha. The piano, being midi, is in perfect tune on the piano track. However, when u pitch correct a vocal that is slightly flat, for example, you're then causing the bled over piano on the vocal track to go slightly sharp. But ironically, I think it may add a little life to the track in those places. I think it creats a very, very subtle chorusing effect in those areas. Again, the overall mix sounds great.
  20. Yeah, the tilted headstocks are a recipe for disaster. Gibson should have designed EVERY guitar with a volute (extra wood where the headstock meets the neck) to help prevent some of thise broken off headstocks. Talk about an Achilles heal
