Hmm passed the test with flying colours I'd say - very smooth indeed - great job. Andy

Now there's an idea... 🤔 When I woke up this morning, And looked down at the floor... Oh yes, there's definitely mileage in this! 😂

Measuring up my small upstairs (and cramped) home studio for re-decorating and new furniture, I noticed a bit of laminate floor lifting. Fast forward an hour or so, I've stripped everything out, dismantled the desk and lifted the flooring, only to find a rad valve has had a slow leak for what must have been weeks. 🙈 I've lifted and dried the laminate and luckily the underlay has saved the floorboards. Plumber coming next week to assess the damage and hopefully fix (my DiY is not bad but I don't do plumbing - much too messy if it goes wrong). Ah well, guess I won't be making any music for few weeks. At least it was caught in good time. So the moral is, do look down every once in a while to make sure your feet are still dry. 😂 Andy

Now this is a fabulous rock track - great lyrics, superb performance, killer riffs - I could go on... I loved it - brilliant 🤩 Andy

Wishing you all the best Wookiee. Andy

Good job on this Keith, enjoyed it. I never knew Hotlegs became 10cc and I was a massive 10cc fan. How Dare You is still one of the finest albums ever recorded IMHO. Andy

Very immersive - really nice work. Andy

Just got around to another listen to the final mix, wow it really pops now - from shades of grey to full Kodachrome - latest version is great Great job 👍 Andy

I like the slightly dark undertone and the arrangement, my only minor crit is I am not a huge fan of the instrument at around 2:30 (is it a pad)? It just seemed a little out of place with being such a high register, but this is just a matter of taste and doesn't mean you should change it. Overall really nice job. Andy

Got to be the best celebration of the Am chord I ever heard. Happy New Year to all! Andy

I enjoyed this, very much of its time - both lyrically and musically. Could it be enhanced and improved with a few tweaks here and there - probably. Should you go there or leave it as it is - debatable? It is all panned fairly centrally to my ears, so some separation might help, as would a double-tracked and panned rhythm guitar track, but don't duplicate the existing one; record another take and pan them. Or leave it as is and call it done - your call. Nice job either way. Andy

I've got a pole saw in the shed - brand new chain and freshly oiled - just let me know if I need to pop over... 😂

Nice job - the guitar tones are excellent - enjoyed the laid back vocal too. Andy

Welcome to NHS IT - having audited plenty of that in a past life I'm surprised you're not still on a dial-up connection; ISDN if you're lucky. 😂 Keep your spirits up - you're in great hands - as a heart surgeon I used to play cricket with once told me, it's just a bit of plumbing... ATB for the op and I'm sure you'll be fine and ace the recovery. Andy

I upgraded a non compliant i7 7700 that has a TPM a year or more back and it's been running like dream ever since. Can't remember the method I used now - might have been the reg hack - but install was a cinch. I also get the Win 11 updates - despite being 'unsupported' - more Microshaft scaremongering I'm glad I took no notice of. Just back everything up first - including a full export of your registry.

Ah that explains it, those Taylors are sweet guitars. I used to have a 314CE but I traded it for a T5z. The latter is a lovely instrument - and definitely more versatile - but it can't reproduce that sweet acoustic tone I used to get from the 314. The T5z body sensor pickup amplifies way too much string squeak for my taste, so I rarely use that setting. Thanks for the extra details - always helps to understand the process a little. Andy

Nice work - enjoyed it - harmonies work well and I like the tempo/ mood changes. Andy

Wow - acoustic chops as well - I like the guitar tone a lot. Is that a 12-string my ears can detect or is it just the multi tracking confusing my brain (it doesn't take much these days). 😂 Nice ending too - very classy - I like. 👍 Andy

All the best for a swift and full recovery Wookiee - look forward to seeing you back soon.

Wow Mark, that's one tough song to cover. I remember when this was first released, it was like nothing else around at the time and I've always really liked it. I think you nailed it, the percussion and guitar work is top notch and the backing vocals work really well. No crits on the lead vocal for me - I'm super impressed. Andy

I'm going to respectfully disagree ever so slightly with @Jim Fogle (although his comments are most definitely valid). I quite like the long intro and I also like the long pauses between phrases - but - I think it needs to build and get busier as the song progresses; then you can row it back again at the end. But hey Rex, if I could write, perform and produce a song to even ten percent of this calibre I'd be over the moon. It's a beautiful piece of work. Merry Christmas Andy

Love it Nigel - left a like and a comment on YT Brilliant song, performance and production standards as always - great job. Andy
