3 buses suddenly showed up on the right. All I need is 1 but can't find how to delete the others. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for all yr suggestions, it seems to be OK now - maybe a cable? I went thru some of the steps you all suggested but not sure which one worked. Sometimes I think it's a cbb issue. I've had no sound sometimes from a channel strip & had to disable a plugin that was blocking it for some reason. The Focusrite troubleshooting steps were good & should apply to other interfaces as well if other people run into this.

I think so, I will double check tomorrow. The names are abbreviated because there's not enough space in the lower column of the bus but I will take a closer look. Sometimes I've also gotten a second delay bus added too inadvertently.

When I import a template a 2nd master bus shows up. This shouldn't happen, it messes up the mix. I can delete & recreate the template but first, am I doing something wrong? thanks!

It's a Beyerdynamic ribbon mic with XLR

Thanks...ASIO into a Focusrite Scarlett, the Scarlett mixer shows a level, Cbb meters respond when I tap the mic...i don't know what else to check

I know this isn't much to go on, but I'm getting practically no level from my vocal mic. I tested it in another program and the mic works okay, I've checked routing inputs and outputs and they're okay. I'm getting just the faintest signal recorded. It's probably user error but any suggestions of something I might have overlooked? Thank you!

I used to have it but it would clear up when I disabled plug-ins globally, so I enabled them again one at a time and found it was almost always the same one causing the problem.

I've selected auto save every five minutes or five changes in preferences. However in this project and I think it's happened in the past, it's saving about every 30 seconds and it's become disruptive. Any ideas? Thanks

How are we supposed to handle this? Just wait until there's a final notification? I'm in no hurry until it's finally ready.

Andres thank you for being persistent with this. I figured it out, when you go to plugins in the browser there's a little downward facing arrow after the word plugins and then you can choose the layout. That's why it wasn't matching the layout I had saved in the plug-in manager in utilities and I found myself having to go back and forth between category and manufacturer sometimes to find the right one. It's trivial but it's laborious and those little things add up in the long run. Now I haven't even better set up, it's organized by category in the utilities plug-in manager and by manufacturer in the browser layout so I can much more quickly go between the two. Thank you again!

I think yr right Andres but I can't navigate to the same folder in the browser as in the plug-in manager. I follow the same folder tree the plug-in manager uses but it's not there. I think either the file folder is hidden or there may be a way to add the folder, I'll check Scott Garigus' old Sonar book.

When I want to insert a plug-in, I have them organized in the plug-in manager either by category. When I right click insert audio fx, sometimes I have to go back and forth between category and type to get the one I want. If I try to drag one in from the browser that seems to be a different set of categories, different from what I've created in the plug-in manager. Is there a way to get those two to be the same? Or to add more plugins to the browser? I'm just trying to find the most efficient way, getting prepared for the new sonar and new inspiration. Thanks

Yes i will do that. This is happening with cwp files. After the crash, when I reopen the project I see the new track template was saved so it's not a big problem. Maybe a computer issue, as you said.
