Do IK have a table where you can easily see the differences between Amplitube (normal) and Max? (I'm thinking a table where you have the versions going across the top, and the gear/collections['Orange', 'Slash', etc.] going down, and a dot in the appropriate cell to show whether it's in that edition)

I suppose you could use something like this https://codefn42.com/notemapper/index.html If you set it up and route it properly, you could do a live MIDI bounce to get all your snares/hats onto their respective single notes.

The 'You Save' bit almost looks like a PA subscription sales pitch ? On a slightly more serious note, do the instruments tend to move into the 'lesser' editions as they get older? e.g. ARKHIS is only in CE - if we wait long enough, might it eventually get included in Ultimate (and then Standard after even more time)?
-
Is this a 'discontinued' instrument? I can't find it on AudioThing's main web site.

I was considering getting one to use as the output for a multi-FX box I have while practicing guitar; do you think the iLoud would be overkill for this?

If you log in with a Microsoft account (you don't have to use that account for everyday use), you can link your license (assuming it's not an OEM) with your account. Then if you change your hardware, you can use the license that's linked to your account. -
Hey @Fleer - this is irrelevant to the multibuy, but which iLoud did you get? The original, the Micro speaker pair, or the MTMs?

Reid, please continue posting. If I get a deal on a great product that I didn't know about (either the deal or the product) I don't mind that the link I clicked on gives you (or anyone else in fact) a little something in return. I've never seen anyone complain that someone is offering their Melda referrer codes (which give a bonus to both the owner and user of the code). And for anyone who is against the idea, either don't use the link and go directly to the product page; or right click the link, copy it, paste it, and remove the referrer bit before using it in the browser.

It's in the RX Post Production Suite 4 bundle, though at $1,999, there are quite a few things above it on my wishlist. In fact, there are so many things above it that it's fallen off my wishlist; not to say it's no good - just to much for me to justify.

Looks interesting... Shame there's no free trial (though they offer a money back guarantee)
-
Looks like it's already at base price - you wouldn't have been able to go any lower

So... you're wanting (the completely fictitious as far as I know) Superior Keys?

For those not in the know (i.e. me), what's the relationship between the Adagio, Agitato, and Anthology series?
-
The impression I got of the Play series are that they are pick-up-and-play instruments: good for inspiration/putting ideas down quickly.

As far as I understand, MODO Bass is fully modelled; for MODO Drum, the drums are modelled (or mostly are) but the cymbals are sampled. I'm open to correction if I'm wrong.
-
Programming by mouse - finger drumming is on my to-learn list. Maybe the simple truth is that I'm 'hitting' the main drums too hard in relation to the cymbals: I'm not a real drummer, so don't know the 'velocities' that they would play at.

I remember signing up for a similar deal for Lunatic Audio - did they release anything other than a VST Pong game?
-
Not really - I (personally) found it to be the case on most of the kits. If the mic'ing is typical, I probably just need better technique for mixing drums - I find that when I try to bring up the rides to a good level, then the bleeds of the drums (e.g. kick/snare) become overpowering; when I try to tame those, the cymbals end up sounding a bit naff. I know you can turn down/off the bleeds in SD3, or do a dedicated ride mic (which is what I've been doing so far); I'm always happy to learn new techniques though, so happy to receive any drum mixing advice.
-
If available, demo/walkthrough videos are a big clue. Sometimes the product descriptions will say things like 10,000 samples, deep-sampled, or 5 round-robins for multi-sampled instruments. Generally, the orchestral/piano/guitar/voice ones are multi-sampled; the Hybrid Tools series are more loop based.
-
Do you have any examples? (i.e. a 'secret' way of asking what libraries we might want to put on our sales-wishlists ?)
-
As we've mentioned other drum software, does anyone find that the ride in SD3 (that by default is only captured by the overhead mic) is very quiet? I know you can modify the mics and assign a dedicated ride mic, but it seems a little strange to me to have this as a default setup. Disclaimer: I've never mic'ed up a real drumset so if this is how you might typically do the mics, I'm happy to stand corrected.

I was hoping that as it was modelled, it'd be able to do brushes/mallets. Alas, not the case... (yet?)
-
Sounds very cool - are the whispers separate instruments/patches, or are they baked into the vocals?
