enjoyed the piece....nice variations, percussion, guitar solo, mix, playing, production, tones, Eq's....the only thing that my ears picked up on was the quantizing, or the groove being too perfect, of course, if you didn't quantize then my observation is incorrect....other than that, very, very, well done ????

beautiful combination and balance of science, soundtrack and music....better music than what I hear on the Science Channel's "How the Universe Works" (which is one of the few television series I enjoy watching when not doing music)....nice sequencer sounds....relaxing synth's....enjoy watching your work very much ??⏳?️

Thanks David ? used standard tuning on all guitars....two audio interface electric guitars play the 16 note riff that first appears at 0:24 and weaves in and out of the song is a real hand stretcher....it's the 6th, 5th and 4th strings playing F, C, D / F, C, D / F, C G, D, A / G, D, A / G, D as I played them all live to make it easier I put a capo on the first fret so as to give my left hand some help....the other guitar voicings are 3 or 4 note chords played without a capo ( I have no idea of their names, they just sound good) that use notes in C Ionian found up and down the fretboard ???? edit: inspiration is from the Trois Gymnopédies by Satie, orchestrated by Debussy....the first time I heard that was the version by the New London Orchestra conducted by Ronald Corp and I was absolutely floored by its beauty and simplicity ?? ??

Thanks Bjorn....Eno is a big influence....his solo work and collaborations with Bowie, U2, Talking Heads....what a great catalog....and glad you enjoyed it ? I hope to do a longer version with flute, harp, bells, choirs, woodwinds, percussion and more....going to install the Kontakt Player and try the 50 free sounds to expand the instruments and sounds....been reading the Instruments and Effects forum for guidance ????

hello jack ?my emerging DAW skills and limited time to work on music have quietly led me to a life of making ambient pop for awhile.... probably until I have an albums worth (60 minutes or so) and then call the album "ambient pop music"....I'm still experimenting and learning my way with DAW drums but the time it takes to get them to sound the way they should I just don't have right now....Thanks for listening and the cool compliment ????

Hi Rex....imho not a lot of singers could sing this song...do it justice, so to speak.... but you have...as i said about Chivalry is Still Alive i would change the lead guitar from distorted/fuzzed to clean and smooth....i think some melodic fiddle playing would be a nice addition....and if you can find a good female singer for some harmony parts as well as some girls singing back up vox it would add to the song well....as Lynn Wilson as already said you are on a roll...Good Luck!!!! ????

very, very nice piece....all parts fit together perfectly, percussion, strings, solo instruments....inviting texture kept me listening all the way through....i like the Latin touches as well as moving out of the major key in certain parts ????

excellent work....enjoyed the chimes, very nice touch, don't hear them very often....only audio i might change is the Strat that starts around 1:30 being a bit too loud, and, maybe bring it down some throughout the piece....being a guitarist myself one of the most honest things i have learned in mixing is to turn the guitar down and/or off totally as certain parts of a piece require ????

Outstanding writing, arranging, playing, production, mixing, mastering....this genre is one of my favorites....Steely Dan meets Return to Forever ( i mean that as a truly high compliment)....the clean guitar is beautiful and the treated electrics are perfect....if you have time could you list what software, plugins, etcetera you utilized?? ????

completely interesting musical and video journey...the music you slowly unfold had me wondering at every step what was going to emerge next and it was always something i did not predict (tambourine, distorted guitars....)....harkened me into David Lynch realms....very, very well done....music and video

Thanks mark....the acoustic guitars must be redone as if you listen close you can hear me breathing through my nose throughout the track....this is the first song i tried using a microphone (Shure PGA58....the cheap one) to record acoustic guitars and i didn't even know i was breathing so loudly, let alone the mic recording it....i may be able to just re-record the two acoustic guitar tracks as i really don't want to redo everything but if so it's more experience.....most of the songs i have posted here were written with lyrics but as i can't sing i'm reworking them into the ambient pop style....Thanks again ????
