  1. I sat here wasting 5-10 minutes of my time searching through 3 pages for an updated link to your song in hopes to help. and this is the response I get ? PS- The "Poor me" attitude. wont get you any where..and listen to peoples criticism with a grain of salt. or you'll never learn anything..
  2. The link in the OP doesn't work. And for what its worth, I would try to take criticism with a grain of salt when asking for help/opinions. If you don't and become upset every time someone gives you there opinion...you'll never progress properly.
  3. Is it a current project or an old project ? Because your title says "old project nothing in the track view". Did you possibly hit the screensets button by accident again ? or is this something totally different ?
  4. What kind of tracks Audio or midi ? (im guessing Audio because you mentioned Picture cache). Never heard of this before in my life. Can you upload the project so I can take a look at it ?
  5. That's a pretty good idea (plus/minus in one button). I can respect what your saying and after your last post I can even understand why you feel the need for a delete button. Kind of makes sense. This is a good example of how we each work in different ways and might not always see one another's point of view because of our work flow. That's perfectly find my friend Good people always find a way to discuss things and still respect one another's opinions. Even if I don't agree with you, I still respect where your coming from.
  6. Have you by any chance checked the track manager ? Press H and see if the tracks are hidden.
  7. This is the normal size of the Markers module Where is this "extra button" supposed to fit ? As I said before, larger modules means less space in the control bar and we are already having to hide modules in order to see our "most used modules". Im all for improvements but taking away real estate is important to me, especially when there are multiple other ways to accomplish this task.
  8. You seriously believe deleting markers is a common task ?. This action is performed how many times during a project ? If someone is having to delete markers 100's times per project, wouldn't it make sense to use the view that specializes in removing markers (the markers view) ? Adding more buttons to modules means larger module sizes, which in turn means less space in the control bar. That's something im not willing to bargain with.
  9. You can click on a marker in the timeline and then press the delete button or in the markers view you can delete them real easy.
  10. test: WTF? CTRL+V working here as well.
  11. Ive got one of those Jet City JCA 20's as well. Great little amps that are easily over driven at decent volumes. I used to have an ISO cab but now im more for sticking a 2X12 or a 4X12 in my drum room (removing the drums first) and putting a Mic in the front and back.
  12. Great thread. It never gets old hearing others explain the way they go about performing the same tasks only slightly differently.
  13. I can totally relate here but not like you might think. See I don't run into hardly any bugs using Cakewalk (especially these newer Bandlab versions) this program does everything I want it to and then some. But if I was using another DAW and my workflow was disturbed by normal operations, I would change back to my original DAW or one that worked for me. The upper hand here (IMO anyway) is the developers. They are really helpful. They are constantly going out of their way to ask users for test projects to fix issues. The choice is yours really.
  14. Did you send in the dump files from your other thread ? Maybe that will help in solving this issue.
  15. I mix all 8 songs first and put each separate mix in a folder called "Album Chuck bla bla Mixes" These mixes are typically 24 bit mixes that I dither down to 16 once I start the mastering phase. I master each one at a time. (not the same CWP). this way if I need to tweak the master later, I don't have to open up something really big looking for needles in hay stacks. After my masters are done, I import them to CD Architect. This software only acts as an orginizer. There are typically no plug ins added in this phase, its only for alignment and song order.
  16. This happens to all of us once in a while. We mature as engineers and realize we need improvement. Every few months I go through similar growing pains and I've been mixing for years. Just strip it down, restart from square one and remove all FX and EQ and go back to work. Try not to use too many built in VST-I FX, Choose track FX instead.
  17. Laptops are easy to relocate and use on the go. But a desktop will always be easier to repair, easier to expand and easier to use. I used a laptop for a good portion of 2010/2011. Heat became an issue when I would run intense projects with lots of plug ins. I did have a fan/cooler to sit my laptop on but it did little. I have used a Desktop for the better part of my recordings since digital audios inception. I have built many PC's (including the one im using now) have built both AMD and Intel based Desktops. IMO, and this is only my opinion, Intel wins the race when it comes to using Sonar/Bandlab. AMD is probably better in the gaming scene and for the price, hell that's why I built one. Paid under 200 bucks for an 8 core bulldozer back in 2014 or so. But when I moved to an Intel, I saw increase loading, increased processing and increased stability.
  18. I believe someone on the Facebook page mentioned this and I believe the answer was to try unchecking toast notifications in preferences.
  19. Im onboard with this as well. Im actually surprised more people haven't mentioned it.
  20. This is how I do 90% of my editing. ^^ The Smart Tool is like the Swiss army knife of editing tools. It does a bunch of things all in one. You can also Click + Drag to make a selection, then hold CNT+C while dragging the clip to a new spot.
  21. Totally support this idea ^^ I always store my back ups and active Project files uncompressed in their per project folders. But when I have to send something, I always use WinRAR to send it if I need to.
  22. Im not sure how you are exporting your stems but I typically do most of my stems all at one time/All in one folder. Using the export options. Is there another software that has "Export stems to different folders" that you could show us as an example ? Im guessing not.
  23. This might not be the best method. ^^ Have you tried singing to a stereo mix with some slight reverb/delay ?
  24. I feel the same way about Automation lanes. I open up 10 tracks with Automation lanes and I have to manually increase the height on all 10. Total PITA. Cant expect anyone to do any detail work on a lane that's only 1/8 of an inch (in perspective)
