  1. This record label executive was a Titanic survivor.
  2. Before you start, you might want to nerd out and get a feel for both the items and the best building practices. I watch a lot of Linus' videos (see one link below). Most are very overkill or ridiculous (yet fun), but there's a lot of good nuggets in there. Techquickie Just remember, things change soooo fast in the IT world that you may wish you'd done something different once you get to the final parts! ?
  3. How about another from that other Craig's Godfather! ?
  4. Sing with me! "Hippo Birdie, two ewe! ..." ?
  5. Looks closer to half a shot to me! Is that all you get left after taxes Paulo?
  6. I miss my Korg MS2000's. I had both the keyboard version and the rack version (loaded with all entirely different set of sounds and patches).
  7. More like "What's the sound of one lip flapping?" around here! ?
  8. Well Happy Birthday Dave! Guess what I still have after all these years? ? Have fun at the TSO gig; my favorite Christmas-time band. Hope you get their best incarnation! (I know they have a few lineups so they can play at multiple places.) Good to hear the Todd Rundgren is still going, for some reason I thought he had quit a long time ago. Finally, thanks to you, I also now have Halcyon and have been enjoying Plini's solo works too! ?
  9. Ah-ha! I was right! Been wondering where you wandered off to (as implied in my reply to your other thread). ? We know you better under your illegal name. ?
  10. I'm waiting for 3.1.1 - MIDI for Workgroups. ?
  11. Hmm... Everything in the above post looks familiar except for the first name, Vernon. Is that you Glyn? Or are you related to Glyn? Haven't seen Glyn posting for a couple of months at least, but I know this was one of the gigs he wanted to go to! I love the term "angry Welshman" and will have to go have a listen to Jump (who I also had never heard of).
  12. In my mind, Guthrie is exactly how someone who just loves music should be. He practically was born with a guitar in his hands and it's almost like an extension of his body. There's a video (which I'll find when I get the time) that has him playing "in the style of" a bunch of other guitarists and he flat out nails all of the tone and feel. As for Marco? What can you say, he's just a big kid playing drums! His audition to replace Portnoy in Dream Theater was awesome.
  13. I've been subscribed to Pomplamoose for quite a few years now (ever since I saw them in a Christmas commercial). I think I also get Nataly's solo stuff too...
  14. Heh, Mesh posted another very talented guy over at Beyond My DAW and you could get his entire discography (12 albums plus two singles) for only $22.20 minimum. I liked what I had heard so I figured, for the price of four micro brews, why not? (I actually gave him $28 - $2 per release.) There's some really good music out there that's underpriced IMO! I'll probably end up with Halcyon too, going to listen to it now and see. I have a music addiction you know. ?
  15. Hehe... Most of that song sounds "normal(ish)" except it's like somebody's kid wandered into the studio and turned the tempo dial all the way up on the drum machine! ?
  16. If you look close, you'll see one (just like I did in this reply!). ?
  17. Since the word "cowbell" can also imply a plural, you must mean... Needs more cowbell. ? Needs more cowbell. ? Needs more cowbell. ? . . (assume there's a LOT more here) . Needs more cowbell. ?
  18. Gosh, I hope he's not at the age where he has Happy Birthday ED! ? ?
