  1. Only fair, I did hear her say... Oh, never mind. I don't want to give John any more reasons to lock threads! ?
  2. The perfect girl! ('Cause she won't be eating any of my becan!)
  3. I saw them when they were out this way. Very fun night and Gabriela is hot.
  4. Made by someone in another forum a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away...).
  5. Looks like I now have something to watch (and, er, listen to?) while I eat my breakfast/lunch/brunch!
  6. Not trying to go too much off-topic (even if this IS the Coffee House! LOL), but there are some theories out there that have scientific merit and a few political ones that, if they happen, we might not be caring much about our saved songs (pole shift, increased solar flare activity, intentionally created WWIII, UN Agenda 21, etc.). That said, I think you can only give it your best effort. Note that this is coming from a guy who bought a Panasonic PD (Phase Digital) writer when they first came out because the media was supposed to keep your data safe for 30 years. I had all my tunes, projects and notes for the future on one disk securely locked in a fire-proof, water-proof safe. Then my main computer died thanks to lightning hitting a transformer right outside my apartment, taking the hard drives with it. After buying and setting up a new computer, I then tried to restore my saved work only to find that: A) my PD drive had also been fried, B) they weren't being made any more, and C) data recovery businesses didn't have one either... Now I have (what little I have left) saved in multiple places, including the cloud, but primarily on a "frozen in time" server running Windows XP and SONAR Producer 4 that isn't connected to the internet. *Sigh...* So, my recommendation is to not only keep the projects and audio, but keep all of the details separately using spreadsheets or other documents (with printed copies) so that you can recreate things from scratch if the World gets turned up on its head and the new storage medium includes three dimensional placement in crystals (the supposed "Record Keepers" from Atlantis). ?
  7. No, I haven't looked but, in other areas (audio, video, documents etc.), someone has created converters. Has anyone ever created these for DAW formats? If not, that would not only be the answer, but would be pretty awesome! Convert from Cakewalk to Pro Tools? No problem. Convert from Studio One to Reaper? No problem. Plus, if it was an open source project on GitHub, then others could contribute and verify the mappings. (Sorry, I just DON'T have time to start this right now - I'm more of the "idea" guy here. ?)
  8. Yep! Touring back then was what gave me the gut I had two years ago. Took a LOT of work to get most of it to go away!
  9. I'm holding out for the 7.3 PHz with 3,000,000 cores...
  10. Ya! Their non-becan diet makes them completely unsuitable for eating!
  11. If you played darts back in the 80's, you'd know. ?
  12. I like that scam much better than the one that happened to me in Las Vegas! Well, it only happened twice actually, after that I ran out of kidneys to harvest...
  13. Shouldn't this be a Random Apology for the Day thread instead? ?
  14. I guess I'm not allowed to embed this video - so, you'll just have to click the link! Some people are Peter Gabriel Genesis fans, some are Phil Collins Genesis fans. I'm a fan of not only both, but of all the individual solo careers too! I can also say that, looking back, I'm content with not going down the rock & roll stage performer path. What a tough road that is!
  15. By far my favorite Damned song - even if it IS a cover!
  16. As a WWII buff when I was young (not sure why, but it's the only war I really studied), that video was very interesting! I would assume that the inventor's Mum would have been a real Mother Tucker, eh? ?
