Dirk's Farewell Sale ANY 4 PLUGINS Made by BX for $49.99
dubdisciple replied to alacantec's topic in Deals
I get that the weird perpetual sale/ voucher thing was a little annoying, but sadly, it seems to be an effective strategy for the many companies playing catchup with Waves. Their plugins are good. I'm caught between grabbing a few former maybe plugins i passed on in the past (the neve chwnnel strip and the 4000e) and "i rarely use the ones i already own" -
Softub Exclusive bundle offer: Tape, Harmonics & Dyna-mite
dubdisciple replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Darn, nothing for us owners of hard tubs! -
I find it fascinating that people will look for things to buy to get things that are probably duplicates of something they have . Unless an owner wants to correct me, there seems to be nothing special about this plugin. Most of us have multiple variations of samples/ emulations covering same territory.

BEST PLUGIN FOR EXTRACTING STEMS?
dubdisciple replied to user390096's topic in Instruments & Effects
I just tried Gaudio Studio. Has some potential but has trouble distinguishing keyboard instruments and guitars. I took a simple song with two guitars, drums, electric piano and vocals. It put all instruments as "other instruments" the vocal separation was pretty smooth. -
I do this a lot and it works great.

Happy birthday larry! -
I have 2 or 3 expansions for String Studio VS-3 that I use on VS-2 including Masala 1 and Journeys. Works fine

To each his own. I find LABS stuff useful

I broke the golden rule of upgrading...
dubdisciple replied to dubdisciple's topic in Instruments & Effects
I uninstalled 6 for two reasons: 1) my previews stopped working 2)storage space was an issue. I decided i would rather figure out missing instrument than download and install 6 again. Lesson learned to start finishing stuff -
Worth it. Good plugs for the price

I think it's more of a HOW it does things than what it does. It is for the most part a compressor/limiter/saturation device that can do a little of all three at once. It makes use of ai and works best as a glue bus processor. I have it and i like it already, but does take some getting used to

I ended up getting analog orchestration. I was initially unimpressed with demo but instead of looking at these as actual sounds that could be used for replacing acoustic orchestral libraries, I listened to them for unique sound possibility options.

I think the marketing is overhyped, but I also find that using Plugin Doctor has become the equivalent of the mother in law with white glove. Dirt will be found no matter how clean your home is. Audio snobs will often say mix with your ears and not with your eyes. Many of these companies have decided that the extra GPU hit going overboard to produce great Plugin Doctor readings is not worth it if it sounds good. As a person who has produced hundreds of tv ads, I know that marketing is going to be full of hyperbole. That doesn't mean they all are attempting deception.

Normally I would agree if I believed for a second he was doing it for any other reason than to feed his own ego. All of already know we don't need more plug-ins. He just ads the torch and pitchfork element lol
-
Graillon 2 is worth it at this price if you don't own a similar plugin and have need. It's better than the free options but not on par with the big boys
-
I kinda liked Paul Third at 1st but I am convinced he is too in love with the attention he gets from the role of contrarian to be worth watching most of the time. He's becoming the Skip Bayless of plugin reviewers jus not as clueless.

I love Pigments. Arturia's decision to keep rewarding early adopters with free updates has made this my goto synth

F___ loopcloud!
-
they ended xmas sales just in time to give you a voucher to get same price lol
-
This is a steal if you don't have a go to editor.

I have paid version if resolve ( also got hardware shuttle for free) and it does make a difference. I never found Vegas lacking. I just outgrew it as I added motion graphics and compositing into workflow. I was faster in Vegas than anything else for the longest and my audio was superior

The other stuff is very underwhelming

I am trying to ween myself off of buying deals just because they are deals lol

Yup and i used it for that even after it became a video editor
