  1. I wonder if they will ever fix the bpm inaccuracy?
  2. This is an absolute no brainer, especially if you mix any form of pop music.
  3. Neutron should be in any debate of best channel strips. It just gets omitted a lot because: 1) it doesn't look like or emulate any one classic channel strip 2) People get caught up in AI aspect and forget that you can use it 100% without using AI. The user interface is far more functional than using mouse to get frustrated with a bunch if round knobs. Each individual component is damn good on it's own and despite not emulating any one product, does a good job of providing the functionality of those products minus the exact colorization ( something most emulations fall short on). With that said, it's not my favorite, but when I do use it, I find myself wondering why I don't use it more
  4. The timeshaper freebie pushes it over the edge. Most pb freebies have been meh. I will actually use this one even if the comp is redundant.
  5. The last thing I need is another compressor but too good too pass up. ( sounds like a title if a chapter in the book of Gas).

  7. Trap has become a catchall for many subgenres in rap, EDM and pop and thus broad enough to include things that are often very different. Most of Arianah Grande's recent albuns have been very trap influenced. In some ways it is laziness on the part of marketing people. The other part is trap has changed from underground 120ish bpm with rap done at 6oish bpm , synth based production with southern themes around trap/drug culture to more pop friendly and faster version that also includes sampling. All the offshoots were labeled same. It probably has a good 5 years at least before it dies
  8. I picked up because I sooooo need another channel strip and more Wuppage?
  9. I like this better as a set of drumkits for when i feel lazy than a serious tool to make beats. Like most genre specific products it suffers from being a dew years past the trend it is emulating. To the casual listener all trap sounds alike, but every year some small aspect changes. For 19 it is worth it but will not give you much beyond what you already have if you already know how to make trap. A nice touch is everything is tuned.
  10. Truth be told, I own several of their channel strips and this is the only one I regularly use.
  11. We should at least give the guy that provided this the clicks:
  12. Remember when we got 3 console emulation in cakewalk like 10 years ago? Cakewalk did a lot of things ahead of it's time. I will probably snatch anyway to compare. Thanks
  13. Does anyone else find that Songkey always gets the BPM 1 bpm off?
  14. I got this a couple of years ago. It's decent but definitely in the "not a major upgrade of stock synth" category. If I wanted a free upgrade over stock synths, Vital and Surge are better options. This, is however very simple if that is the goal.
  15. I have v collection 8 and i use it a lot. Just having hard time rationalizing upgrade. I already own augmented strings. Not sure if the rest is worth it
  16. I always thought the original was underrated. Not the best emulation but plenty of usable sounds like the 90s House organ.
  17. How different is this than the 200?
  18. I think plugins still work but you just can't install after WUP expires. I had rbass on two computers for ten years and both worked fine long after expiration
  19. WUP doesn't bother me because plugins I got over 10 years ago still work on windows. I never bothered installing my waves plugs on Mac. In fact, I use very few third party plugs on Mac .
  20. Anyway, sorry to get caught up in the OS fanboy tangent. I use both Mac and windows and have my share of headaches with both. Back to topic. For those who are having trouble picking 4, the crispy tuner is a damn good alternative to autotune. It's superior to Antare's stripped down version and imo also on par with and possibly better than Waves variant.
  21. At this point it is possibly feet dragging, but the whining about m1 compatibility started only weeks after they launched.
  22. I wish this only happened when cpu architecture changed. This has also been an issue a lot when MacOS changes. We bought an intel mac right before they started putting out M1s and felt kinda stupid.

  24. I also struggle to understand why people get mad at software companies instead of apple when they intentionally flex their power by forcing developers to jump every few months to make plugins compatible.
