  1. Funny I thought this was easy. But if you google the topic it brings up a lot of old threads and not one of them had a solid easy solution. The best answer was to do what you were thinking and speed up/ slow down the Master in a wave editor.
  2. Stuck notes are normally caused by the hardware not transmitting the note off message. This can be the controller, the cable, the interface and lastly the software. In the old days this was often called a midi log jam because too much data was jamming up in the buffer. Which is one thing you can try increasing the midi buffer s

Yes exactly what I do. I’m not a good keyboard player so I often have to slow a song down to play the part. Guitar of course is no problem I would never try to record something I can’t play. That’s cheating. But midi cheating is what it’s all about ?

For midi I just slow down the whole project. For audio I’m sceptical that time stretches will not trash my recording so haven’t used it.

  7. So you are saying you set a channel, bank and patch in the inspector and the VST ignores these or are you saying those patches are gone ?
  8. That is the thing about workspaces. Even if you copy it over by the time you tweak it it would have been quicker to just customize a new one.
  9. Yes you still can using the Export Dialog in the control modules. Then choose your old pre sets. Don't choose the advanced. If you didn't save a pre set in the past then just set up the new advanced screen to look like this one.
  10. Also this is were having a second monitor shines. You put the multi dock on your second screen and things stay put. But with only one screen you can also open the console view in the multi dock, access the Pro-channel there and then use "D" to hide show the multi dock. I explain this in this video.
  11. Maybe the OP is refering to the recently opened project list in the file menu.
  12. Glad you got it working. I was on my phone when I replied so couldn't post this link to my new video on Midi set up.
  13. Yes. Midi has it’s own driver which has nothing to do with your Focusrite ASIO drivers. Make sure and check if there is an up to date midi driver at the manufacturer support page.
  14. Yes same here. Last update put a little red text line in the upper right corner saying my pc didn’t pass. So something is happening
  15. This is the important part. You can switch to any audio interfaces in ASIO mode. Just turn off the unwanted one, turn on the one you wish to use. Windows will switch over but you might have to restart Cakewalk. I have done this a lot with using Focusrite and Tascam interfaces. Normally unless they are identical and as scook says the driver supports it, it is rare to have two running at same time in ASIO mode. It is not a problem recording a live band in WASAPI or WDM mode using two interfaces but if you are over dubbing new tracks to already recorded tracks your timing offset will need adjustments.
  16. Your screen shot tells me nothing but I’m guessing you’re trying to use the Arranger to create a playlist. Most people who use Cakewalk live use the Playlist feature. Each song is a separate project and the playlist loads them up as a set. Then it’s easy to change each song.
  17. Pad and keyboard velocity curve is set in the hardware not the software. The software records what it received. Your pads might not even be velocity sensitive or they are set higher than the keyboard. Read the manual on how to set this.
