And the underwhelming freebies continue! Across all of the companies it's mainly repeats of freebies, lack lustre, or both! I don't think they need to do much to drive sales at the moment..

Such a great DAW and with 12 Pro, I'm really left wanting, or needing very little.. almost nothing... I'm still finding and exploring new functionality.. it's pretty damn comprehensive!
-
It's very different to Waldorf 2 LE and runs perfectly on Cubase 12 Pro / Win10. It can easily go from super warm, to gnarly sounds (especially basses) and with lots of movement and an analogue'ish sound. I have fun programming patches on Largo ?
-
That's how I use it personally. My main DAW is Cubase which I love and use for all recording and production, but I enjoy Mixbus purely for the mixing experience and sound. Cubase is still great for that and I use for mixdowns as well, but it's nice having both options. The combination of the buss saturation in Mixbus and even the quality of some of the stock effects in it allows for a really nice result.
-
The thing I wondered with this is if you already have Mixbus 32C, can you buy this just to get all the XT plugins and use them inside 32C or will they only be licensed inside this version of Mixbus?

After all the posts you've made in the last hour or two alone, I think you've earned a break ?

Worth noting that I think that suite only includes RX 9 Standard and not the Advanced version of RX they were looking for, but otherwise it would still be an OK deal too ?
-
I have a feeling the resellers were probably all asked to pull the upgrade, at least for now Zo.
-
I didn't find Electrum hugely heavy on resources (although I didn't make an effort to check as I didn't notice any impact), so I would've expected it to be similar. I'm the same as you, in that there are a couple of plugins I bought that I use sparingly now as they're very heavy, but I'm coming up to a new DAW build soon, so the prices were great so it made sense to pick them up at the time and I'll be able to run more instances on the next system.
-
That was also part of the consideration for me. I also wasn't sure what those promised updates would be and whether they would apply when getting them through a reseller, as my understanding is you only get individual licenses or serials and there's no bundle serial number or anything.
-
I could've just managed to get this from a reseller, but was really on the fence with it, even at that price. It definitely has some useful tools, but for the most part I have on par, or generally better alternatives, apart from RX maybe. But I was much more excited with an upgrade to Eventide Anthology and Arturia FX 3 Collection which were in around that price combined. They also aren't trying to force the subscription model as much, which I prefer too. Both of those bundles have been REALLY good so far too!

Audio Assault Three Amp Eras | Dominator, Bulldozer & Emperor Are Back!
MusicMan replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I got two update emails from them. I purchased the "Ultimate Bundle" a while ago and that appears to be what triggered it free, but I'm not entirely sure if owning one of them alone will. The two emails say: Dominator now redesigned from the ground up, upgrade to Classic Series Amp Suite free, enter your email address here Emperor now redesigned from the ground up, upgrade to Classic Series Amp Suite free, enter your email address here I checked the updates for the Ultimate Bundle and even found out they had added ThePunch to it as well, so it's been the gift that keeps on giving! -

I found this nice surprise in my emails earlier and they gave me this free, so you might want to check your emails and look out for anything that mentions an updated version from them ? -
If you need any pointers, I'm sure there are some good examples of how to complain about freebies through the posts in this and some of the other forums ?

Depends on the gate and how it's used. Unfiltered Audio's G8 via Plugin Alliance for example can be a pretty creative tool and effect and there are some others that can be used a little less like a traditional gate too. I've been meaning to start learning and trying out some more of those techniques in particular. As far as regular gates go, I suspect this will be a good one, but I'm also not too excited about it either ?
-
That's right and why I chose that specific example ? Higher values wouldn't be offset by the discount as it automatically applies to the lower value items and anything with a lower price already doesn't need a voucher. Sweet spot is $30.99.
-
You don't need to convince me Lars.. it's only some of the Plugin Alliance Kool-Aid drinkers that think the new deals are better and subscriptions are the golden elixir and cure every problem known to mankind.. they just believe and repeat any marketing that's pumped out to them ? For me, the old vouchers and deals were better for sure and I'd happily have them back! Granted you can get some of the latest releases sooner, but if you waited a little while, even those could often be had for $14.99 with some voucher stacking or combo deals. I miss the old PA.. Edit: But if they were to drop a $20 no minimum spend on their current sale prices, then I take it all back and they're even better! ?

Broken how Tony? And there's a bottomless pit of things to spend money in audio, so missing a few isn't always a bad thing! ?
