missing songs in cakewalk

Hello and could anyone tell me if they have experienced missing songs wav audio and the project face.

Ive  looked in every folder of each of my other projects incase they had been randomly moved but nothing. I checked the picture cache and i can see certain temporary file references to the songs but i have searched my entire computer ....nothing...

Did you record to a removable drive or have a removable drive or thumb drive connected to your machine?  You can use a search tool like "Everything" to search all your hard drives for any wave files. Easier if you know the track names or clip names that were created.

Even Windows 10's Explorer has this functionality built in. I've had to use it from time to time to round up stray files.
