  1. Hi dear all, in "good old times" Cakewalk (not yet by Bandlab) used to have a fine softsynth called "Pentagon", which could create a lot of nice timbres which I had to search for endlessly with more recent synths. What I am up to, there's a (historic) description of that thing: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/pentagon_i_by_cakewalk Does anyone know: Is that still somewhere available after the Cakewalk (by Gibson) store had been closed? Or any recommendation which could replace that thing? Thankx. Not that I would want to say the times of Cakewalk @ Bandlab were bad ones - ! 😉
  2. I'm in the process of re organizing my Plugins and I came upon one called Pentagon I. It doesn't work. It says it may not be installed properly. I've never used it so it doesn't matter much and it's not in the menu where I would move it from. Should I just delete it? Is it a relic from the past that is obsolute? Thanks 🙂John B
  3. Hi all, I need this synth for my song but it's crashing Cakewalk every time I start up, even when I start as admin. The error is crash code: c0000005
  4. I'm curious if it is possible to get the the Pentagon I in Cakewalk by Bandlab? I have the Square 1 in Sonar 7 Home Studio and have heard that it is like Pentagon I, but I don't know if it can be used as a vocoder like the Pentagon I. I've also read that you can go to the original site and download Sonar 3 which has it, but can't log in to the original site for some reason. Is there an easy way to get this synth? Thanks.
  5. Hi Everyone, I installed Pentagon I (only) from my X3 installation, but it doesn't show up in either Cakewalk or SPLAT (x64). I've done a net search and found threads on the Registry hack (giving permission to users for Pentagon I), but haven't had any success. Also installed Project 5 v2 and can use Pentagon from there, but can't rewire P5 into CbB or SPLAT (due to the 64bit limitation, IIRC). Only thing is I can't figure out how to use Pentagon I as a vocoder in P5. I read that some users have been able to use Pentagon I in SPLAT. Does anyone know of a way to get Pentagon I to show up and work in CbB or SPLAT beyond the registry hack? Any suggestion or solution would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, tecknot
  6. Recently I tried to create a track with Pentagon I in CWBL. It gave me some odd message saying something like it was not installed properly. I pulled out my X3 installer and reinstalled that plugin but ended up with the same message. Of course, it works fine in Sonar Platinum. Any Idea why it works fine there but not in Cakewalk by Bandlab?
