  1. Maybe I"m doing something wrong, but every 60 seconds this thing makes a noise. Exactly on the minute. Like it's a demo. Anybody else having this problem? Is there some way I'm supposed to authorize it?
  2. You can also add PCIe cards that give you more SATA ports.
  3. Sorry, I didn't put the link in right away. I was typing quickly. I didn't want people to miss out on the deal, but at the same time, not everybody knows everything about M.2 NVMe drives. They are very fast, but only if you can hook them up right.
  4. I had an M1 for over a decade so I had to buy the plugin. So great. I also bought the set of Gadget plugins for PC, because I love them so much from my iPad. That's a great deal, getting over 40 junior synths, including limited editions of the M1, Wavestation, ARP Odyssey, Mono/Poly, MS-20, etc.. Also they often add more gadgets without charging more. But I'm waiting for them to add NKS for Windows, like they've had for Mac for a long time.
  5. This lists for $200 and ALWAYS sells for $147. I bought it before and it's insanely fast. 3500 MB/s if you have a way to plug an M.2 into your computer. You can't connect this via SATA. You need to either put it on your motherboard or get a PCIe card. I am so much happier with this than my Samsungs. I've been watching for another deal every time I go to Amazon, and of course, all day today. This deal only lasts for another 4 hours or so and is 80% claimed. If you want it you better move fast. https://www.amazon.com/XPG-SX8200-Gen3x4-3000MB-ASX8200PNP-1TT-C/dp/B07K1J3C23/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=ADATA+XPG+SX8200+Pro+M.2+NVMe&qid=1575314792&smid=A2UXO5LPTDY3LN&sr=8-1
  6. Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra $99 Overture 5 $149 ($249) crossgrade/upgrade $79 ($129) Amadeus Symphonic Orchesta is a steal at $149. This is an amazing deal. Get it HERE
  7. Korg Collection, Gadget, and iOS apps. Until 12/11 Get the deals HERE
  8. I signed up for this, but I'm not downloading it, because I realized I'd have to do it with the Waves downloader and I knew I'd screw it up. Maybe I wouldn't, but I need another distortion plug like a hole in the head anyway. I'm not buying any more Waves or updating-- I'm sticking with what I have working in 9 and 10. Even at the price of 0 cents I'm not buying, because in a few days it will probably be a $199 plug as far as WUP goes. I am very happy with the plugins I'm getting elsewhere and there's no WUP to worry about. Some even update for free, like Melda. I realize that you can use Waves without WUPing, but a day may come with an operating system change when you'll have to.
  9. There's a lot of new stuff in the DAW plugin. Audio harmonies of up to 1-4 voices can be added to any audio track. Looking forward to trying that out, because the pitch shifting in BIAB is pretty good. It wouldn't be a BIAB rollout without a new Xtra Styles PAK $29 adds all these styles to all the new styles that come with BIAB: They only used to come up with a Styles PAK once a year, but now they are doing it twice a year. Burying all 8 is $189, not a bad deal. It costs a lot of money to keep updated with BIAB and all the Styles PAKs and upgrades, but I think that BIAB is arguably the very bt guitar VI around, if you are willing to call it a guitar VI) Anyway, the results you can get with it are amazing. Not too shabby for realistic background vocals either. One thing that happened with PGMusic this year is that they very aggressively pushed BIAB 2019 on Facebook throughout the fall. I saw ads all the time, all the way up until a week or two ago. I saw them so often that I went back and checked to make sure I had the latest version. I hope they have a generous grace period. They are a very reliable company, though. They pump out the new PC version at the end of every year.
  10. This is one of my favorite libraries. Very useful to sketch out orchestration when you don't know what you're doing. Like me. 😀
  11. The original Tina Guo Legato is one of the most beautiful virtual instruments ever. It's just legato...but what a legato! The cello I use is Virharmonic's Bohemian Cello. You don't have to worry about key switches, unless you want to. The AI does all the work for you. Play the keyboard and it sounds like this: The other thing that's cool with the Bohemian series is that they are always doing new versions, with a LOT more articulations and features. As they come out with new versions, the prices go up. But whenever you buy you get all the upgrades free. That said, getting the Embertone Blakus for $49.50 is a pretty amazing deal.
  12. DDMF is pretty big on the iPad. Back in my iOS music days, I bought Envelope and really liked it.
  13. My issue with Rigid Audio is always the same. They look really good, and the prices are so low--but who has time to learn and use all those instruments? However. I am very tempted by their new soundscape instrument, limerence, which isn't in this bundle, but sounds amazing and costs $7. 🙂
  14. If you are looking for guitars, I would recommend you demo Carbon first before getting it. Based on my noodling with it in the demo, I'm probably going to sell my copy . It's really more of a sound design tool than a guitar, which is fine if that's what you want. After all this BF dust settles, I'll play around with it more and decide. I like the synergy between the basses and the guitars. They work so well together that you can just set them up a certain way and then... u jam. Seriously, these are really great instruments when u want to just jam. I actually demoed the drums long ago and rejected them as I thought I already had better stuff. The basses and the guitars sold me on the drums. I'm still missing Heavy, but I think I can live with that. One more thing: I had some issues during install, and the customer service of ujam was stellar. Best ever. As soon as I wrote in, the guy immediately wrote back and started to help me. And he fixed my problem in no time at all.
  15. I agree. I really like this. But I believe the Full version is $139 now, not $99. If that's what people know they will want, it makes sense to do it now, because the full version is $80 more this weekend. Upgrade later on will be at least $100. Up until this, Bohemian Violin was one of my favorite Virtual Instruments. I still love it--this won't take it off my list-- but the Bohemian Violin is best for slower, emotional, soulful stuff. It can make anything you play sound beautiful. The Joshua Bell is more nimble, amazing for quick pieces. It can play anything. It has a different kind of sound. I'm grateful they came out with the Essential, as I doubt I would have tried it otherwise.
  16. It's actually the same price on their site. Everything is 40% off. Some interesting, reasonably priced unique stuff there, particularly this plugin. I didn't think I knew this company, but I eventually remembered that they are very big on iOS. I bought their reverb for $6 when it came out. They also have Chord Detector for $9 that transcribes the chords from an audio file. Band-in-a-Box does this very well, but it costs a lot more than $9.
  17. What's awesome about this one--and other Indiginus libraries--is the harmony feature. I use the Blues setting for this one. You can use key switches on this, but I usually just find an articulation I like for soft and hard velocities and play away.
  18. Yeah, I love it. It sounds really great and it's easy to play. The only drawback is that it has no strummer. I also have Blue Street Brass, The Steel, and Solid State Symphony. At this point I'm planning on getting the Renegade, although I haven't decided on whether acoustic or electric. With all my my OTS, Ample Sound and NI guitar libraries (love the new Picked Acoustic), Fingerpick, DAT, HALion (love the FlexPhraser for finger-picking) and now the ujam ones I'm buying, you would think I'd be pretty fixed with guitar VIs. Not to mention I have four actual guitars sitting around. Oh yeah I forgot AAS's Strum GS-2. 😊 But, as you all know, you can never have too many guitar libraries.
  19. Indiginus's Jangle acoustic guitar is free if you buy one of the selected libraries you can find HERE I bought three Indiginus libraries over the last few months because he said there would never be a sale after the intro price. Now I'm going to have to buy one more! Oh well, it's a great developer. If you don't have their Lap Steel yet, it's highly recommended.
  20. Thank you. I erase them every morning and it's insane how many get added every day.
  21. Thanks, @simon i did it last year, but this time I've tried to be more comprehensive and it is a lot longer I don't know how Larry does this all year long. 🙂 It is getting in the way of my shopping! I buy stuff but don't have time to download them.
  22. I can't find my post from before, so I thought I would tell anybody who is interested that I am compiling the links to BF sales alphabetically, and to a certain extent, in categories. You already have all the info from Larry, but it might give you some perspective as you are making your purchases to see it all in one place. You can find it HERE
  23. Picked up the 75% off deal on SOLID 2 at Plugin Boutique that Larry put up here. Thank you for that, Larry! I never had much interest in ujam drums (I am married to AD), but they are fun with the basses and guitars. The guitar I never see mentioned much is the nylon one, SILK. In addition to sounding beautiful, it's the only one that lets you play different bass notes, which adds a lot.
  24. As many of you already know, AudioDeluxe has started offering a loyalty program. Has this been going on for a while and I just didn't notice it? I tend to go straight to JRRShop, because they have given me some extraordinary service in the past, so I'm grateful. Anyway, this makes everything more complicated for me than before. I don't know about you, but I always used to shop for price in the US, and then when something was available everywhere for the same price, I'd pick up loyalty points from Best Service, Time+Space, or Musician's Friend. For Best Service Forest Kingdom II ($154.40) AudioDeluxe offers $15.54 worth of store credit. That's 10%! But they don't give DeluxeBucks for everything. Best Service is 5%. Time+Space is $6 off per 1000 points, which can be a smidge more than Best Service in some cases. So AudioDeluxe would seem to win this one with their 10% discount, except that Time+Space sells Forest Kingdom II for $147.63, the only store I've found that discounts Best Service. So it gets really close. I'm just passing this along, because this is the place where everybody checks both FORUM and GROUP to see if they can save another buck or two. 🙂 EDIT: Audio Deluxe ended up winning because Time+Space is having problems with their loyalty points now. I couldn't use my old ones.
  25. After I got the free IRON, I started downloading demos of the basses. They are really fun, even just for jamming. They work beautifully with the ujam guitars. This 50% sale, with JRR discounts is on my BF list for sure.
