  1. You have my respect. And I know everybody else's too. Maybe I'm getting older, but I don't remember it getting this crazy until next Monday.
  2. I like these a lot, but had two pairs break on me so I'm done. They gave me a good deal on replacing the first one, but I think the pieces on the sides are too slender plastic. I don't think they are well designed. While there service is great, they didn't respond when I wrote them about the second pair, which I can kind of understand. They probably think I'm too rough on my phones. But I'm really not. So if you have a pair, handle it carefully.
  3. It's nuts. I was up early, but didn't even get to eat breakfast until 11. I'm typing all day and I'm always behind. I don't know how King Larry does it. The man is a God. Maybe it's because I still haven't gotten over my Covid shot? No morning bike rides for me from now on.
  4. Not sure what you're referring to. I don't think NI or Spectrasonics offers that. Anyway, I want to keep both of them.
  5. There is a free demo package of the Halls of Fame that you can get here https://www.bestservice.com/halls_of_fame_3_free.html
  6. At first I thought, this is a lot more selection than you normally get, but then I saw... Neutron 3 Elements, Lounge Lizard Session, IK Multimedia Future Synths. Most of us have these. The big thing is probably the Tarilonte Melodica, but I have his whole accordion set. I may end up going with the Hall of Fame Reverbs as usual, assuming I don't already have the ones they're giving away.
  7. Overall I would say that it sounds really good. It stands out over other nylon guitar instruments in creating unusual ambient sound design. That's its niche. I think it's a good VI but I was asking myself after I bought it whether I should have bought it when I own so many other nylon libraries. And that made me start comparing, and that let me to doing a video. I haven't done a music video in a very long time. There are other aspects where I think other nylon libraries are superior. For example, I think the patterns in the Native Instruments Nylon guitar is much better. I will compare features like number of articulations and It's the different ways each of them handles guitar noise. It's not a review so much as a comparison of features. It depends on which features are most important to you. I'm not doing anything on it this month, so I'm not sure when it will be done.
  8. I bought Nylon Sky. I’m working on a video that compares it to other Nylon libraries.
  9. Does somebody have an informed opinion about issues with the QVO series for musicians? They are slower, and marketed as a compromise between regular hard disks and something like EVO. You get more storage for less. How does the speed difference impact things like music and video?
  10. This update came out when the "extensions" did. You can't run the extensions without it. Nylon Sky needs the strumming engine.
  11. People often ask me if there are sales on Virharmonic, and I always say no, but these prices are €80/$80 below the recent prices. And if you pay in dollars, even better. When I bought the Bohemian Violin in November 2016 it was €149 euros. and when I bought the cello in 2017 it was also €149. The price in dollars was $179. But now they are selling for 149 dollars. So if you are paying in dollars, the violin and cello are being sold for less than I paid for them so long ago. Definitely now is the time, if you're tempted. Virharmonic upgrades are like getting entirely new instruments. Any other company would charge you $50 or $100 for so many extra features. They just raise it for everybody else, I guess. The violin is easily one of my favorite purchases ever. I like the cello too, but I am waiting to see what version 4 brings. I'm also looking forward to the viola. Sadly, they say they aren't going to make a bass. Maybe they'll change their mind. 🙏
  12. I did the long video in a day, but the two minute video (which used the same footage) took a week. 😀
  13. Bad frog! 🐸 Sorry, Larry.
  14. Some of you may remember my video about how to save money on music software. It was fun to do because it has a shout-out to King Larry, but it was not a very successful video. It's still up there. This year I cut two minutes out of it and made a video that is just about my Tiger sale. Since the time I did the original, I've developed a lot of techniques to inject maximum stupidity into my videos through sound effects, video clips, and other nonsense. I hope these two minutes are more fun to watch than they were in the original. And as you know, I made a redirect from tigerthefrog.com to the VI:Control post. If any of are involved with social media, please pass it on to anybody you think might be interested. Obviously a lot of my info comes from this forum, but I actually get a bit of it elsewhere , from Reddit, Rekkerd, KVR, and just hunting around in places like Loot Audio. But the big thing about this is not being first, but the way it is organized in categories and alphabetized.
  15. Did you know that Audiomodern has a suite? Playbeat 3, Chordjam, Riffer, Gatelab, and Filterstep. All for €99 https://audiomodern.com/music-composition-suite/
  16. And the price is $299 instead of $449.
  17. I wrote them and said I was ready to buy at the price they'd been charging for so many years. They didn't write back. They could have said, sorry we have other plans, etc. and I would have been fine with it. But they didn't write back at all. I didn't like that so now I'm not buying any Soundtoys anymore. But just compare it to every other company out there. For the most part, companies have a consistency to how they price and how they handle sales. You may not like the way they do it but most don't suddenly change the rules.
  18. I like the candy but have never trusted this company.

    UVI Quadra

Also... @Simeon Amburgey do you think you'll do a video on this?
  20. There is also an up to 60% off sale at Straight Ahead Samples.
  21. My normal price for an upgrade to the full bundle is $320. For three years it was $160 during BF. Finally I was ready to buy last year, but they didn't discount the upgrade to the bundle last year or this year. So that deal may be over. Maybe their focus is on the rack now?

    UVI Quadra

I'm guessing that UVI will have an announcement soon. I thought Quadra was a one-off. But it seems it's a series.

    UVI Quadra

Larry, is this a new instrument? There is just the old Quadra with the muted and harmonics on the UVI site.
  24. It's £5.40 at Loot Audio, which is about $7.30 https://www.lootaudio.com/category/kontakt-instruments/channel-robot/orchestral-dust Other deals include https://www.lootaudio.com/category/kontakt-instruments/channel-robot
  25. Based on the past, you were totally right. If they hadn't come out with 3.5, I would have been waiting years for the FAME reverb. But, you know, I have a lot of very expensive and well-thought of reverbs. But what I use pretty much all the time are the basic reverbs from T-RackS. . It wouldn't surprise me if I continue to use them even after I get Sunset and FAME. There's so much stuff I'm looking forward to getting, but mainly the new T-RackS effects. Mixbox. I don't even have the latest AmpliTube, let alone all the expansions that come with this.
