Thanks, I am aware of it I am not so experienced as Zo as compressor conqueror and not having all those great compressors and any of transformer emulation. Anyway when I see a price and start to think about buying I will download it for sure to compare against a self-made FX chain based on what I have to look if such alternative makes sense. If PA plan to crash market with low price at the start I will probably not able to resist to grab it anyway.

Zo, it would be interesting to compare this monster in dual mode against pair of top compressors those kinds: opto + VCA While it is very useful and convenient to have 2 in one the bothering question is how about sound itself. Or maybe also 3 including transformer simulation for instance from Kush

Hm, yes, I am aware Vocal Rider is writing automation for its rider fader new automation lane, but the thing is when removing plugin, Sonar is also removing the rider fader lane (which is logical as there is not longer existing rider fader so automation would refer to non existing object). To workaround this I am copying curve from rider fader lane to volume lane. Did you find any way to keep it after plugin removal?

To be honest I am quite surprised how many manufactures still are trying to create another version of 1176. Is it part of a game every manufacturer needs to have its own 1176, CL2A, 1073 etc? Just thinking... Is it game changer implementation of 1176 beating cheaper ones from competitors? I would like more plugin makers dare to create something completely new not just trying to duplicate very old (of course still great) compressors. Something which has lots of analog color options but let do much more than any compressor about functionality. It is not criticism of any kind, it is not hurting me, having many of 1176 just thinking about sense of it and chances for it in the market...

So if you are using dongle-less ilok already you are 'converted' anyway I started with Slate subscription with their promo adding free ilok dongle. This is my third year. So far no issue with it. Well, maybe there is one issue I often move to other location and from time to time I forget to pack my ilok dongle But the same thing with moving Waves licenses to cloud etc... Problem is with my memory, not technology Dongle has some nice advantages. No need for Internet connection working. Even 1 license is enough when moving to different computer. Of course I am not trying to convince you. It is part anyone need decide by himself anyway. What are advantages, what are disadvantages for specific for a person use. But true. It would be nice to have software we bought without special security enhancements. Some code is working in background when we are recording, who knows maybe in worst case scenario (low memory, heavy load ) it is affecting latency much more than promised...

Yes, it just depends on what workflow is most preferred for whom. I didn't want say anything like absolute statement For me it is like this. Just it does not match my workflow so not in my tools arsenal. For a person whose workflow matches it is different thing

Well, let me disagree with provided opinion. Is it plugin able to recognize meaning of words in lyrics and context? Maybe mix engineer would like to bold something manually, change curve of changes... Is it really the most important thing for music plugin is fast and it provides everything equal to some pre-programmed assumptions? So we would need after MAV start work with Volume automation anyway. Yep, workflow seems to be faster at first sign, bu in such case we are without any visual guide... So hard to move from point to point we would need put some additional markers etc... Let's consider 2 songs with similar sonic, balance and volume but different lyrics and context... Should they really be done the same? Plugin will do it as it doesn't understand difference. I was trying to convince Voytek keeping automation option (no gun forcing anybody to use it) but our dialogue ended he send me link to older version and advised to use it if I liked automation writing... Well... so it would mean no improvements, no bug fixed, no life support for this plugin... And the funniest thing was I bought the plugin after watching video on their site where it showed plugin had automation write! And long after that that video still was there... So for me MAV is closer to toy than tool but anyway I love many of them plugs. Many of them are real killers. MAutoDynamicsEq is absolutely gorgeous. ProEQ3 has introduced dynamic bands. MAutoDynEQ had it years ago

Unfortunately they abandoned support for automation writing few versions ago. I asked about it but got answer which was kind of fake reason imho. I was told people were complaining about quality. Instead of improving quality is always easier to remove 😕

Yup, true... There are more and more great plugins available and also more and more great VST instruments and also prices are much more affordable than ever... But still those old ones are not less good as they were. The are the same as they were, fortunately virtual gears don't change their sound even a bit So our mission is buy them all Joking (?) You are right it would be hard to sell but actually it is not my intention. In fact collectors decease has a strong advantage... Thank you for understanding point of potential customer who would like to see this plugin at best possible state About noises you mentioned it was not I was referencing to in my post So thank you for noticing it by yourself I bounced MIDI track played by instrument without any additions so pure DI I guess. I was writing about about clicks whenever you change preset or amp etc... I checked it also under Studio One to see if it was not Cakewalk specific one. But also there. It is easy to check. Just run any midi loop and during playing click next preset few times.. Or click amp sim at 'level' section. It is common way to checking presets and setting using loop as imaging you set preset, play something, stop playing to change presets or any settings and play again etc. It would be terrible workflow with checking whole day Of course I am aware I can suppress using lowest string and I like this feature in the plugin to choose range in such easy way. But... Actually I would like in that loop to use those notes from lowest string Overall there is something wrong with sounds of the lowest string. Please check this: turn off anything possible to have just pure sound of samples, velocity & string range to max (volume to max) and just try sounds on the same position (for instance 5) on all strings. The lowest one sounds completely different with different sustain than the others. Or is excellent bass player and for sure has top instruments and string so I guess something happened during recording (or processing) samples? I guess it is not plugin bug because probably it is playing every sample the same way? About sharing MIDI I am probably not allowed as it is part of GrooveMonkey commercial library (I am not a bass player so wanted to use loop which was generated by real bass player with real human velocities instead of my programing to be fair Bonus: try to play lowest E on the lowest string setting manual position to 5 and see which sound (which string) plugin will play About tuning issues I will try to figure out a more 'science' way to provide a prove. Anyway difference is very noticeable, for instance try to play long notes on the low E string: A and B.
