  1. Last day for the BOGO. @Reid Rosefelt or @Scott H - Did you get Lofi Dreams? I got both Inner dimensions and Hypnotic drive. Both good, but I like the more motion/arp-y stuff like Hypnotic better. I wonder if the "Lo-Fi" is baked in to the samples/patches of Lofi Dreams. I prefer to dirty my tracks up my own self 💩
  2. Add this one to Amplitube and they will come a runnin' But it has to sparkle. Need to push the page down toward 100 anyway.
  3. Thank you Doug! That is going to be very handy.
  4. Yeah- I keep forgetting Mac users exist (it did occur to me after I posted) -sorry!- I tried other ASIO drivers but no luck- I could not find any i/o offered in Arc 3 except ASIO. Supposedly the ASIO4ALL developer(s) are working on supporting multi hardware, and it is supposed to work with some devices (I got a beta released this Spring) but no joy for me.
  5. Noice! And I thought I was the only tightwad in this forum 😝. I bought the same mic, and it works great with *ARC-3. Looking at the specs, I think it has the same transducer as just about every <$100 measurement mic. * Here is the fine print- It is an electret mic that needs @5 volts, so it will work straight in to your phone or PC. Alas- I could not get ASIO4ALL to allow input from one device and output to a different one. I think that may be an "ASIO" thing. So now I needed to plug the mic into my Focusrite (where my speakers are). I bought this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L42PBY5 to adapt the mic to XLR AND drop the 48volts to 5 for the mic. Now we are at about $45 with our money saving adventure (high sales taxes here). ONE MORE THING- you need to make sure your headphone adapter for TRRS 4-pole 3/8 input has a three pole 3/8 MIC output to go into the XLR adapter. A lot of "headphone" adapters ignore the mic out. I had the adapter already, or the cash outlay would be another $5 or so. If you feel like soldering and have an old XLR cable to sacrifice, you could make a voltage drop mod with one resister and one DC blocking cap. I didn't have a sacrificial cable so I took the easy route. Good luck and PM me if you hit a snag.
  6. Boy does this look cool. Playing with the demo now. This plug is almost ten years old, but there was an update early this year. Check out the YT video. Pretty impressive on-the-fly transposition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckJIwrtm1Ng
  7. What @Fleer said. And he has a really nice EQ that looks FABulous, and works very well for a fraction of the price. 60/30 is the best deal through the year I think, but he has been doing a 70/30 the week around Christmas. Fair prices and no copy protection.
  8. Crafty Italians. How would you know if 100 year old vinegar went bad? 😣
  9. I looked back at the 2019 IK GB post, where they ended month one at 7 and month 2 at 10 freebies. I didn't consider the level differences or other archeo-mathematoligcal considerations, but the grounds in the bottom of my coffee cup look like a "15" to me, so that is my prediction.
  10. Gonna have to think about this. I got R11 Suite last year (before they included the free 12 upgrade. The Subscription is definitely not for me, since I have all the Suite content already. Basically $129 for Mimic and Combi2, plus hires. Hires is a pretty big deal for my hi dpi monitor. That was a big reason that Waves beat the WUP out of me last time. I think I will see what discounts float by. JRR does not have a SKU yet, but their 11 upgrade (with free 12) is priced also at $129 and allows "forum" code for $114.81.
  11. STOP. You are adding stuff to my list! I may have to make a fourth dip, or <shudder> wait until September 30 to see where I stand!
  12. 😭 But- but- I had the Amplitube running through the Leslie, and.. and I just HAD to do that open position Am arpeggio part because it sounded SO AWESOME! 👮‍♂️☹️👮‍♂️
  13. Me too. I appreciate the "reminder" to pick up the free MDynamic EQ from PB before that deal expires. As usual I waited until the last minute to see if any "can't miss" deals popped up. 😴 I decided to go with the SoundSpot Vocal Bundle for @$8. Looks like there might be some fun in that box- not really limited to vocal application by the look of them.
  14. The IT IK Crowd. Not to worry. 10K is in the bag!
  15. I feel an acceleration in the force, yet the FOMO will not abide. In for a third dip. 🙏😑🙏
  16. That's right @kevin H. I have it, and it is safe and sound.... FOR NOW. You will get it back after you complete one more buy in for the GB. Any level is fine- I'm not a monster!
  17. Yep. Worthy of the Great Lampoon award.
  18. Going slightly OT, but this is where the IK brain-trust resides. I bought a USB measurement microphone with profile to use with Arc 3. I am using the ARC3 demo to confirm before adding to the list. I can NOT get past this error when it is suppose to make the actual measurements. (Win 10 Pro 21H1) I am running through ASIO4ALL 48K samples. It seems like ASIO would balk if there was device contention. Certainly no apps running in the task manager except ARC3. I tried killing bunches of processes, but no joy. Anything obvious I am overlooking before bugging IK? Thank you! BTW the measurement mic is not set to default comm or audio in Windows either.
  19. Great post Steve. I have been using RC off and on since version 2, and it has come a LONG way in development and features. Atilla (the author) is VERY responsive to bug fixes and suggested features over on the KVR link you provided. There are some very helpful YouTubes by BluesHouse and the late Nevzat Yıldırım Sarıhan, who was a huge contributor to the development of Rapid Composer. You can find a lot of his progressions and other free content on the KVR forum. THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE to getting on with RC. The complexity bequeaths great versatility, however, so prepare to give it some time. I do have an understanding of music theory and harmony fundamentals, so I would speculate that a user coming in "cold" might be overwhelmed. This is WAY beyond Captain plug-ins (no slight there- a great product). Listen to some of Nezvat's creations on YT to get an idea of what RC can do (brilliant). BTW his name on KVR was "Yellukhan".
  20. Come on Lucky Freebie #7.... Papa needs a new organ. <sigh> No. The B-3X
  21. To be fair to LoopCloud- I knew about the policy to only allow credit spending while a member, as that was in place when I first bought in for a year. I felt that I got my money's worth even though I only "spent" less than half of it. I never bought any "packs"- just cherry-picked the stuff I wanted. If they eventually add a bunch of content I want, I can "buy in" for $8 and empty my credits. Much cheaper than keeping a constant sub and not using them 😉
  22. I did take the subscription for a three month free spin which I think ended in June (I now realize that is another reason that I didn't notice the new "free" policy until recently). I like it too, there are some really cool features that work pretty well, just not $100 a year worth. I had a one year plan that ended about a year ago and I still have about 2/3 of the credits I received left in my account. By the way, I can't USE those credits unless I pay for a subscription again (read the fine print). I am NOT opposed to subscriptions on principle BTW, I just got all the content I wanted and don't see the value FOR ME in the software alone. Enjoy it and have fun! The beauty of the subscription model is that you can drop it with no "buyer's remorse" over a $$$$ purchase 🤑.
  23. Hmmmm 440 and dropping a bit faster. The Petermail effect, me thinks. Give in to the force.
  24. This morning I noticed there was an update for the Loopcloud App so I went from 6.0 to 6.12. Their new policy is that you MUST be a subscriber to add ANY local loops that you already own to the database. HUGE deal-breaker for me. This was a good "free" utility, even with the limitations on using the sonic matching etc for subscribers. If anyone can point me to a 6.0 installer i would appreciate it. I am going to see if I can pull the installed files from a back-up to get the functionality back. BTW ADSR Sample manager is still free and I've actually been using it more than the Loopcloud app recently anyway. -additional info- My research indicates that this policy went into effect with version 6.0 around April this year. I didn't notice it until i recently rearranged my sample libraries and was not allowed to re-scan them. BUMS! Their software, their right to change policy, ******* move to make this change without warning. Here is a thread from another forum on the topic. Here is the link to ADSR Sample Manager that I actually found easier to use than Loopcloud. The only annoyance so far is a little suggestion window that pops up on boot (ya gotta pay for "free" somehow), and another small window that says your sample folders have new data (even when they don't). The tempo and key analysis works well, and there is even a pretty good built in stretch algorithm for tempo changing loops while holding pitch.
