Lite (Free) version of Synthesizer V SOLARIA now available
Brian Lawler replied to locrian's topic in Deals
I finally started digging in to this via the free limited demo versions of both Synth V and Solaria. Really amazing capabilities. I have purchased a lot of acapella vocal packs, but it is near impossible to find something to fit your work, so you have to build around the vocal. The Vi-Control topic is a goldmine of info- especially since there is no documentation for Synth-V. A lot of people have gone with the Synth-V + "Kevin" bundle for around $150 and added the Solaria female voice (separate publisher) for $90. Not cheap, but the capabilities are a synth-vocal game changer. The demo is very capable, albeit with low bit-rate output, but it let's you experience the UI before you drop the $ I have not jumped yet, but I am on the precipice and resistance is crumbling. -

Upgraded from version 5. $99 new purchase. Use the web link to request your upgrade price (mine was $29 from v 5) https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins/

I don't recall, BUT- it's all in the terminology. This is an UPGRADE, not an update. After playing with it a bit, I do find it a lot more useful than V1, and worth the $15.

https://www.evabeat.com/ Version 2 released. $49. Upgrade from v1 $15. Sale prices end April 12, then $59/$19. (MIDI generator)

In addition to the $29 "bargain standard" in use on this forum, I have employed a "dollar a knob" litmus test. I quit counting at 100 on this one, so I will have to take a closer look. They make some pretty neat stuff. <edit> Sounds great. Very intuitive. "Galactic" reverb is nice. Fun presets. Deal.

Might add this to the list for the next 50% off expansion sale.

Bitwig feels pretty fast to me in the full version (although I am at 4.16 and holding on to my upgrade serial for now). If you get the 16 track, is it a perpetual upgraded version, or would you need to be on "the plan" after a year? Can I assume that one plan would update both 16T and regular? Sorry for OT-ing the thread, but I kind of miss having a really quick DAW. I used to use Mixcraft but the MIDI routing limitations were frustrating.

For this 3.0 upgrade, we remastered the samples and inserted them into our flexible four-layer modular user interface. After that, we hand-crafted brand new atmospheric soundscapes and 20 custom FX presets to kick off your next musical composition. This library fits perfectly in any genre from Trap to Latin as well as rock and cinematic styles. https://soundiron.com/collections/drums-percussion/products/high-school-drum-corps Now available to existing owners for only $5 ($49 full price)

I found ERA 4 Voice Leveler in my PB account that was a freebie in May 2020. Also Regroover Essential which was a freebie in April 2019.

Well- That is why the bundle was a good deal three weeks ago. Upgrade = $70 ? Sent a plea to support. Will report back. ? Fast response to my inquiry, but not good news (IMO) Hi Brian, I'm sorry to say there is no further discount. One reason SSS1 w the Expansion was priced at $49.98 instead of its normal price of $119.98 (which is what the vast majority of individuals paid) is because the new version was coming out. This way, someone could get version 1 inexpensively and decide later if the upgrade to 2 made sense - and if it does, then they'd collectively spend $119.98 - the same as if they bought version 2 with the Expansion today without an upgrade discount. I appreciate your purchase and I hope this makes sense. Thank you again. Dennis

Also- I just got a $5 coupon code from APD for any $25+ purchase, good for 48 hours. (ANY purchase, not just DJ-S). Check yer emails.

It's a loooong double helix with a secret blend of A's, C's, G's and T's

This explains the emails arriving with my authorization codes. You apparently can't retrieve them from Accusonus' web site any longer. TBH I never used their stuff much after playing with them (Regroover/Rthmiq) when I got a bundle during a BF sale in 2019. The old ERA version 4 I had was replaced by better tools.

We just made a donation to ICRC a couple days ago, but maybe we will make another? ? I use Charity Navigator to look over charities that we support. They don't score ICRC. Anyway, you can look at International Committee of the Red Cross annual reports here. Plenty of other info at the root site. We felt they were a good fit for how we wanted to help. I just got a solicitation email from SoundToys. I lined out the above because the "Safety" code actually supports the Red Cross of Ukraine. Probably a very worthy charity, but not the organization that I researched. Thank you SoundToys! Outstanding offer.

Here is the eLicenser overload post on Steinberg Forum https://forums.steinberg.net/t/grace-period-update-to-cubase-12/769820 By hitting the Action/Recover menu choice I got the "Grace Period" status on about the fourth try. It is faster than waiting for the "Maintenance" process to fail three times and do a bunch of other unnecessary stuff. The code just arrived in my email. Onward!
-
Thanks for the tip. I GUESS I can fiddle with my 700+ plug-ins in my five other DAWS while I patiently wait for the eLicense servers to cool off ?
-
Curse my weakness for MIDI fiddlers. Interesting plug, but hands down the WORST, most convoluted, registration/authorization scheme I have ever endured.?
-
I'm not experiencing that. I just tried it. I have noticed that the pop-up saying that the content has changed seems to always come up when I run ADSR, even when it has not. I do have each of my main folders (within my samples and loops parent folder) set as a "Library" in ADSR.
-
Agreed. I really miss the folder view, because a lot of my stuff is already categorized that way. It took about 8 hours to scan my 82K / 160G of files on an SSD. So far it does seem to do a pretty good job of identifying the samples. Interesting that it appears to ignore categories/tempo/key/etc that are in the file names, relying only on analysis. I will still probably use ADSR more, but this has promise.
