That was just downright cool! I like that rhythmic piece panned center that drives this song along. I also have to agree with the comments concerning the bass --- nice! Given the idea of quantum super-positioning perhaps speed isn't important but what determines where you are and how fast you get there is the interference of the observer. Nah, that only occurs at the sub atomic level. Doesn't it? I'm just sayin'. Well done Wookiee - I enjoyed it!
  2. A really beautiful piece David. Me grandma would be luvin' it. Well done!!!
  3. Hi tom. Thanks for trying again! I appreciate it. I get nervous using reverb/delay on vocals because of my tendency to abuse it but I just had to use it on this song. Thanks for listening and the thumb!!! Hi David. Perhaps it was "Mars Attacks" or perhaps the super Sun flares that we have been warned about? Probably not. 😏 Hi Nigel. I have to go back to the basic, raw side of the Blues every once in a while. To misquote John Lee Hooker - it's in me and gotta get out. I appreciate your taking the time to listen and for the kind words.
  4. Wow -- Excellent!! Judging from work that you have previously posted I am guessing that the photography was done by you. It is absolutely excellent. The music that accompanies the photos really enhances the majesty and wonder of the subject matter of the photos. I regret that I have only been out west, in the USA, two times. If this doggone pandemic ever abates, I am going to have to make a concerted effort to get out there! Well done Bjorn!!!

I have to echo the above positive comments concerning your vocals and harmonies. The lyrics are also wonderfully optimistic and are complimented by some very nice melodic, cheery music. I love the guitar accents and leads in this song. Great stuff Allan!

A really pleasant song and some excellent playing. I may have mentioned this previously but certain of your songs have a wee bit of a Shadows (band for Cliff Richard and excellent band in their own right) feel. That is certainly meant as a compliment! Well done Makke!
  7. Hey Lee and glad to see you back on the form. This is a good uptempo rocker full of optimism indeed! I don't know why but it reminds me of Lou Reed a bit. Good stuff -- I enjoyed it!!!
  8. This is indeed an interesting song. It would be good music to accompany a video/movie scene or animation. Good mix and recording. Well done!!
  9. This was a fun song and an equally good animation to go with it. It even included the '70's style of dancing. Cool!

Nice one Douglas! Great vocals and I love those guitars. Not to draw attention to my chronological existence on this planet (?) but this song and style reminds me of some of the many great bands that could be found in the Tampa Bay area and that were recorded on the Paris Tower label throughout the 1960s. Good work -- I enjoyed it!!
  11. Great lyrics and story telling!!!!! Your vocal delivery really accented the story and "feel" of the song also. You really captured that funky, down-home, Bluesy sound in a great performance. Luv those guitar leads and accents as well. Terrific job pal! Don't know about the panning but the mix sounds good to me. Yeah, I'm gonna have to go and have another listen to this one.

That is some great pickin' and sounds. It cries out for some lyrics. I enjoyed this quick one but also look forward to the full song.
  13. Hi Tom. Thanks for trying. I just tried the link and got on to the site. Let me know if you still are having problems and I'll check with SoundClick.
  14. This song is just for fun. No social observations or pontificating. The subject of this song finally got the girl of his dreams to say that she loves him. Now he wonders if he should commit to her. His friends think that she is crazy for loving him. Hmmm!?! It was my intent to create a small venue, open jam type type of feel to this song. You might find that the style is rather loose (understatement not intended). Anyway, I hope you get a bit of a giggle from this attempt. As always comments, crit.'s, suggestions, etc. will be appreciated. Thanks! WHAT WAS I THINKIN'? https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandid=963481
  15. First of all congratulations on the release and new website. Excellent work on this particular piece Nigel. The lyrics are certainly thoughtful and poignant, and the singer presents them wonderfully. The somewhat dark-ish and driving music (love it) complements the vocals and visa versa. Overall this is a great piece of work professionally done!!
  16. Hey Jesse. This is a bit different for you. However, it has your signature all over it and again shows your talent for taking sounds and creatively bending conventionality to produce innovative and interesting pieces such as this. Sounds great -- great work pal!!!
  17. To say that this was impressive would definitely be a gross understatement. Absoflippinlutely excellent work my friend. You have been putting out some excellent stuff. The music and video are a perfect match to the story of the lyrics. The video is excellent and the Fx are most impressive (especially the Fx's on your cameo shots. What a treat it was to listen and watch your production!!!!!

Some excellent funky jazz indeed. The performances are great and the mix sound excellent to me. The video is also well done. Who knew (other than perhaps an engineer) that a video of bridges could be so doggone interesting? Good stuff - I really enjoyed this!!
  19. A terrific piece Bjorn. The music is perfectly matched to the FX animation/movement. The FX reminds me a bit of some of the excellent visualizations that were on the old Winamp media player. Well done!!!!!
  20. Thank you Daryl. I appreciate your kind words.
  21. Great song with some terrific lyrics. Arrangement and performance sound very good. You have received some good information above and this forum is a great place to receive some friendly advice. I have nothing to add to the above comments above other than to agree that the vocals could be increased a wee bit. They do sound good. Welcome to the forum and I look forward to your future posts.
  22. Absolutely perfectly done. A well written story carried by excellent music, performance, and mix. Your posts are always a treat to listen to.
  23. I agree with some of the comments above. It certainly is an interesting treatment on your vocal. The phrasing of the over all song does have a bit of a Brazilian flavour to it. There is a lot of good eclectic music coming out of Brazil now. There is also some interesting AfroBeat music coming out of Brazil and other South American countries (e.g. Newen AfroBeat from Chile). Good job on the guitar solos. And the woo hoo -- love that!

    Some arp fun

Ah - Wookiee, you do have a talent for mixing up some great sounds and having them all sound good and make sense in the final product. As I have mentioned before, they always create a mental picture for me.
  25. I enjoyed the song, particularly when the drums came in and the tempo increased a bit! I might agree with Kurt on the delay. Perhaps playing around with the timing of the delay might result in it matching it a bit better with the keys. However, having said that, I am a sucker for delay and reverb. I have been a frequent abuser of them and so, I guess my comment should be measured against my abuse (lol). Very nice work on this song.
