  1. Always worth an email when you are ready abacab. I have all of their synth demos installed which is a good way to decide which ones float your boat. I have slowly been replacing demos with full versions. To be honest Icarus 2 could have been Gladiator 3 or Electra 2. I just liked the assortment and variety of presets in Icarus 2. Undoubtedly it also has one of the most complete feature sets; 3 oscillator, 3d wavetables, multiple resynthesis methods, great sounding filters, a glitch sequencer, two MSEGs and a drum machine. It can be in your face when you want it to be, but just listen to some of the complex evolving atmo presets to hear the other side of it.
  2. I think these look like the permasale prices Eusebio. I picked up Nemesis and Icarus 2 over Christmas at much lower prices (already had Saurus 3 and Warlock) . If you own any of these already it's always worth emailing Markus for a price on any that you want. That's what I did.
  3. Same here. These got me interested in their paid synths and I now have all of those. I guess it's clever marketing by U-He. I also forgot Triple Cheese which is currently the subject of a "One Synth Challenge" on KVR.
  4. @simon I recall looking at Absolute 5 and not seeing anything worthwhile (not for what they were asking anyway). I will be very interested to see Halion 7 though. Let's hope the upgrade price is reasonable and follows the Dorico UI vibe.
  5. Thanks Simon - The first video in that list shows Cubase 12 and Halion 7 listed here in the Activation Manager --> https://youtu.be/Ao0MYkO3IYY?t=47

Probably a lot more that I haven't thought of yet.
  7. Hi Aidan, I have also been using Reaper more than usual recently, and I'm really liking its MIDI routing capability. How are you finding Saviour? Do CW files translate well to Reaper?
  8. The announcement is at 11 am CT which is 5pm UK time (I think might be 6pm in France?)
  9. I was also curious about this Zo - no demo that I can find and it's 46 GBP inc VAT to buy. I am tempted but... You were right about Abyss, it's inspiring! Unfortunately, I snoozed and missed that $54 deal at Christmas but I have now signed up for the 90 day demo (hopefully they will have another sale within that time )
  10. I've had similar experiences myself with my daughter and some of her schoolfriends. I used Melodyne and "recorded doubles" a lot. They were amazed at the final results. I am constantly amazed at what can be done with Melodyne, and I finally upgraded from Editor to Studio recently so I'm looking forward to delving into that. There was a video I watched a few years ago from a Melodyne product specialist (Stefan Lindlahr I think) who was involved in the development of Melodyne and his video really upped my Melodyne game. That and upgrading from Assistant to Editor at the same time!
  11. That's what I've been doing so far (with mixed results!) Also, not so easy when I want a female vocal.
  12. Thanks Larry. They sound good but the main thing that puts me off Emvoice is the requirement for an Internet connection as the vocal performances are generated remotely. Also means that if the company ever disappears, no more Emvoice vocals. I have recently been trying the demo of Synthesizer V and even the demo voicebank Eleanor Forte AI sounds really good. Check out this thread for more info. Also, the KVR thread contains up to the minute information. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=509932 Just need to be wary of some of the individual voicebank license details (see KVR thread).
  13. @Variorum Working great here, thanks again!
  14. @Variorum That looks brilliant and very Arturia-esque. Thank you so much!👍I will give it a go when I'm at the PC tomorrow.

    IK MODO Bass Month

That would be a good idea. I have had to draw in wheel articulations in the past to simulate a slide from one note to another; very time consuming.
  16. I must have missed that one! Thanks for the heads-up Larry. I also just had an email about a new 24 string Zither instrument for $20 which looks quite nice. I haven't looked at the website in a while and there seems to be quite a few new instruments.

    IK MODO Bass Month

I call it Goto Bass as I use it on almost everything. I just wish they would add an upright/double bass; then I wouldn't need anything else. I guess the modelling engine isn't really designed for acoustic instruments though.
  18. I also went for Beatgrader this time.
  19. Polymode is still working (but be quick just in case). I just got it for 11 GBP with my remaining rewards. I added it to my cart from here if that makes a difference --> https://www.pluginboutique.com/search?qs=match&q=cherry&oses[]=
  20. Yup, looks like the deal is over. I missed Mercury and Polymode but I'm not complaining about Quadra for pennies!
  21. Now I'm glad I resisted the "complete my synth stack" deal at Christmas. No brainer as I used my rewards (enough so I still got the freebie - Spread). Worked out at 76p! Also tempted by Polymode as I have some rewards left which would make it around 11 GBP. Thanks Larry!
