  1. Great video! Thanks again for posting this, I look forward to more videos too - great playing and you definitely know your way around SampleTank
  2. We are proud to welcome legendary guitarist and long-time IK user Joe Satriani to its family of artists. IK is excited to partner with Satriani, first on a series of videos sharing Joe’s extensive expertise in recording guitar, and later on more formal collaborations to help guitarists get the most out of their playing & recording experience. "I’m happy to be working with IK Multimedia. I’ve used AmpliTube software at home, in the studio and on several albums. And now, the AXE I/O ups my game in the studio." - Joe Satriani In the video below, Satriani explains some of his philosophy when recording, the importance of finding just the right tone for a particular recording, and some of the ways tools like AmpliTube and AXE I/O can help make the process of laying down guitar tracks much more productive and satisfying: https://youtu.be/GR_F490t8CE Satriani shares his thoughts on digital recording and how AXE I/O can play an important role: "When I saw this, I thought ‘oh wow this is great. I know exactly how I’m going to use this." "What guitar players really want is to see a clear place to plug in. They want control over the gain of the input and the nature of the input in itself. This [AXE I/O] is actually affording the guitar player all those things and you’ve got those extra controls that you can play with the impedance in a way that would mimic the difference between a vintage strat and a brand new guitar." Inspired by the new relationship and Satriani’s personal recording process, IK Multimedia also announces a firmware update to AXE I/O, improving its onboard Amp Out feature that eliminates the need for a DI box during the re-amplification process. For a more convenient experience for guitarists, AXE I/O’s software control panel now features a “To Amp Out” button that routes the Instrument Input 1 directly to the Amp Out with zero latency so guitarists can easily record both a clean DI signal and their amplifier simultaneously, without the need for splitters or other external gear. 3. Thank you for your kind words in the previous post (and this one). I think people think "they're not NEW so they're not as good" but as far as algorithmic reverbs go, if the algos are nailed nicely and the controls work well, then it is almost timeless.
  4. T-RackS 6 is not coming very soon. We've made no indication as such and there are definitely a line of products coming before that is even on the plate.
  5. Every producer dreams of pushing their tracks to the limit while still achieving a clear and pure sound. This search for the loudness without sonic compromise leaves producers and engineers looking for compressors, limiters, saturators, and more to do the trick. Push all of those aside - T-RackS Stealth Limiter is the answer. Consider it your new go-to mastering peak limiter when you want impressive loudness without the damaging side effects of traditional processors. Now, through April 22, 2019 we are offering the Stealth Limiter for an IK Krazy Deal of $/€49.99, at 60% off of the normal price. How exactly does it work? With a smart level-tracking algorithm. Our goal when creating T-RackS Stealth Limiter was to provide a new kind of processor for the final peak limiting stage of the mastering process that’s able to impart loudness while maintaining more perceived dynamic range than other limiters and compressors. It works under the hood to reduce levels below the volume ceiling moment-by-moment instead of applying traditional look-ahead envelope-based fast attack compression. This algorithm doesn’t sound like a compressor, and that’s because it’s not a compressor! T-RackS Stealth Limiter’s algorithm tracks the level and keeps it under control while simultaneously preserving the perceived sense of dynamics. Act quickly, this Krazy Deal won't last for long! Click here to buy T-RackS Stealth Limiter for only $/€49.99 (regularly $/€124.99). Click here to learn more about T-RackS 5 All purchases from the IK online store are subject to VAT in the EU and may vary by country. 8. For the sounds, there's a video here that focuses on the sounds (unless you know the language, then you get some bonus information )
  9. Almost time to close this one up so act fast if you still need to grab this deal! Also, wanted to note that we have a page about IK JamPoints at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/jampoints/ and I hope that helps out in the future. Thanks!
  10. Hi sorry to hear you are still having some issues and I thank you for also continuing to work with IK Support. Definitely make sure you have 4.0.3 and the 1.3 sound update installed and note that there are some issues that have now been verified and added to the SampleTank 4 Status thread at https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=20719 Crash when playing notes after loading several instruments (i.e. Black LP) [Will be fixed in 4.0.4] Sporadic crash when playing arpeggios [Will be fixed in 4.0.4] Crash when loading instruments with corrupted tanks [Will be fixed in 4.0.4] Combis from ST2 imported via ST3 not loading instruments correctly [Will be fixed in 4.0.4] PSTS engine (Pitch-shift/Time-stretch) or STRETCH resource usage optimization in certain cases General ongoing optimization
  11. You should report these issues to support so they can help you get up and running. There shouldn't be instruments that crash SampleTank 4 at this point from what I'm seeing. 4.0.3 has been getting many users to a crash-free point so I'm sure support can assist you to find out what's happening. Just make sure you've installed both 4.0.3 and the new sound library update.
  12. What is your ticket number? I'll have someone see what happened there.
  13. Yes, they will have the new GUI. Note that the free version will not include resizing, floating meters, 192 kHz/32-bit floating point, Equal gain option, or signature presets from the industry's top engineers per the What's New section of https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5cs/ Those are available by upgrading to T-RackS 5, T-RackS 5 Deluxe or T-RackS 5 MAX. T-RackS 5 CS supports projects up to 48kHz and features basic metering functions. Presets require specific modules which might not be part of this version of T-RackS 5. You can however download any processor for FREE and test them for 14 days before purchase.
  14. We had Lurssen Mastering Console IAP on sale from mid-November 2018 through January 8th in our Partner Celebration promotion, but I'll suggest we include it in a near-future promo for sure.
  15. Sent your information to the right people and replied to the PM. Thanks!
  16. What is your ticket number? If you used the Sales & Service form (which it appears you may have) please PM your email address you put on that form for them to get back to you as well as your location and I'll ping whichever office is appropriate as the requests will go to either the US or Italian office depending on your location. Thanks!
  17. While you have your demo period enabled via Custom Shop (and Custom Shop open in the background) there is no hissing. When they are unauthorized and you do get hissing, the levels should be nowhere near damaging to ears or monitors - I've been using IK product for longer than I've been here (and that's almost 10 years here) and any time I've heard this, including recently with unauthorized TR5, it was not too loud. If this is not the case for you like you state, I'm sure IK Support can figure out what's going on and if they can replicate they'd report it to the developers.
  18. Since the product page was removed, I had to make sure using the Trio product that is what you're getting with The Recording Revolution VIP. Upon registering the Trio, you will have the following v4 processors in the Custom Shop "My Gear" list: Classic EQ Metering Linear Phase EQ Vintage Tube Program Equalizer Classic T-RackS Clipper Classic T-RackS Compressor Classic T-RackS Multi-band Limiter Brickwall Limiter Opto Compressor Vintage Tube Compressor/Limiter model 670 This isn't a brand-new account
  19. You shouldn't if you are logged in and have tickets open with the email/info from your IK Account. Perhaps it was a Sales & Service inquiry? Those do not create tickets in the system.
  20. Which question? If it is T-RackS 4 Deluxe, there should be a listing of what you have in T-RackS Custom Shop under Gear --> My Gear. I believe you'll have nine new processors there.
  21. T-RackS 4 Deluxe is what is in this bundle from what I see and there is no web page for that.
  22. Ah this would be for the technical team at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ That will create a ticket and you'll get a confirmation. They will be able to look directly at your account and figure out what is going on.
  23. Please open a ticket as it should have automatically been placed in your account if you purchased and authorized SampleTank 3 SE after that date. Thank you.
  24. We've also added sound library updates (and those should be run before the 4.0.2 update but it won't cause the zombie apocalypse if you don't do so, it is a "recommendation") including 1.2 versions today for SampleTank 4 (non-SE/MAX) users who are having trouble with some guitars not showing as properly authorized.
