  1. SampleTank 3 MSRP is over $/€99.99 from what I recall so you should qualify. The best way to see what you qualify for is this page which is tailored for you, when you are logged in: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/eligibility/
  2. Ah you said a "note" I was thinking you meant a musical note which input impedance does actually have an effect on but that's a bit more than guitar input 101 though it was fun to think about and dust off the ol' music/physics/acoustics/etc education The knob is an analog knob so there are no settings that would be stored for it in the DAW or control software at this time. Not sure that would be possible due to that but interesting to note.
  3. That wouldn't be the use of the Z-Tone variable impedance. While input impedance can have an impact on frequency generation in some ways in applications like physical modeling, this is not that type of application or range of input impedance (not to mention all of the other requirements of the rest of the physical modeling example). This would provide a variable impedance to help shape the tone of a guitar or bass plugged into the input in order to get the best possible tone for recording.
  4. MODO BASS takes 0.5 - 1% CPU on my Windows 10 [edit - tablet, technically - Surface Pro 4 i5 weakling] machine which is not at all optimized for audio. 0.2 - 0.5% on my monster gaming machine. Not at my studio machine but from memory the results were in between the two as my studio machine is older than the gaming unit at this time. I'd report this issue to IK Support at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support
  5. Thanks. The preamps (outside of the great stuff happening in input one for guitar/bass) are also very good. I will concede, of course, that they are not - and are not meant to be - "character" preamps. In that case you'd definitely want to look at something that has preamps that were meant to impart their sound vs the aim of the preamps on AXE I/O which are meant to be clean.
  6. Get this holy grail mastering EQ for $/€39.99 - that's 73% off! Every producer, engineer, recording musician - from bedroom to bigtime - wants their tracks to sound amazing. However, not many have the means to mix and master through rare "golden reference" gear. The search for a no-compromise professional mastering equalizer has ended. Get incredible sound quality for your mixes and masters with T-RackS Master EQ 432 now at incredible savings. Consider it your new go-to mastering EQ when you want to take your sonic quality to a new level. Now, through June 24th, 2019 we are offering the T-RackS Master EQ 432 for an IK Krazy Deal of $/€39.99 - that's 73% off of the normal price. Click here to buy now What exactly makes this mastering equalizer special? On top of fully parametric independent frequency bands with almost no interaction (not available until the invention of this this circuit topology), its success derived from its no-compromise quality. Discrete, high-performance custom op-amps and a totally transformer-less signal path give this unit a transparent and pristine sound. This high level of sonic excellence, combined with superior transient response, almost unmeasurable non-linearities, and extremely low distortion, and with some perceivable "magic" in the circuit design, have made this EQ practically ubiquitous in mastering engineers' toolkits, from it’s origins to the present day. The latest and advanced techniques used in the DSP design of T-RackS Master EQ 432 allowed the perfect rendition of this major league audio quality in the digital DAW format, a level of a sonic sameness that simply wasn't possible before. The instantaneously noticeable result is that T-RackS Mastering EQ 432 has a pleasing sound of its own, its high transparency notwithstanding, which is far over the standard "digital" EQ called to perform the same tasks Act quickly, this Krazy Deal won't last for long! Click here to buy T-RackS Master EQ 432 for only $/€39.99 (regularly $/€149.99). 7. I'm just happy we still don't have to perform maintenance or have machines break down in the middle of the night (and that DAWs do not require razor blades for edits)/ 😁
  8. The GAP Pre73 is indeed nice but yes, unfortunately no EQ/dynamics as pointed out. Love it in a vocal chain.
  9. Yes, it is a combination of convolution and modeling but I can't really pull back the covers in greater detail than that and what I have already posted. However, you should be able to drive these as hard as the real machines with very accurate results because they are truly about as close as you'll get to recording through the whole signal path of one of these tape machines as you'll find anywhere.
  10. For everybody to note... Sorry that I provided some incorrect info and was corrected by our devs. The internal magnetic recording physical model works at 384 kHz, not 192. This explains why these emulations sound so accurate. As many here know, analog tape recorders work with a signal that linearises the tape medium (this is simplifying, I know), and the frequency of this signal is always well outside the audio band (for example on the Studer it is 150 kHz). To allow the physical model to run the internal sampling rate can’t be lower than the double of that or this and the true characteristics of the tape machine could not be replicated with authenticity. This increases CPU load, of course, but as stated above it is the only way to faithfully reproduce what the tape machine/recorder does. Yes, there are already tons of “tape saturators”, but we didn’t wanted to make another one of those. The T-RackS Tape Machine Collection plug-ins are a true digital replica of what happens on the real system as a whole.
  11. That wasn't it, I stupidly posted something that was already covered in the thread But we're in deals, so I should have pointed out that the introductory pricing runs through June 30th for those that didn't know.
  12. Introducing the T-RackS Tape Machine Collection Bring back the analog warmth and feel of reel-to-reel recording to your tracks IK Multimedia is proud to announce the T-RackS Tape Machine Collection, available now! This collection gives you the true character of analog tape, adding warmth, character and glue to your tracks like never before. The new models include the Tape Machine 440, Tape Machine 80, Tape Machine 24, and Tape Machine 99, re-creating four classic tape recording machines from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s: the Ampex® 440B, the Studer® A80, the MCI® JH24 and the Revox® PR99. Buy the Collection for a special $€/99.99* introductory price now The T-RackS Tape Machine Collection is the culmination of 2 years of research and development on real, world-class machines, each carefully restored “to spec” and modeled stage-by-stage for incredible accuracy. Using a careful mix of convolution and physical modeling, the Tape Machine Collection re-creates the complex interplay of machine, tape, and audio to capture even the smallest detail of each machine. Give your tracks that classic low-end weight, ear-pleasing high-end, saturation and glue that only tape can provide. Each Tape Machine module offers its own unique character plus 4 tape formulas, selectable tape speed, and common controls to let you easily audition the differences between the different machines and tape formulations. Inside the T-RackS Tape Collection Tape Machine 440: The Ampex 440 series dates from the late 1960’s, and delivers an unmistakably soulful color that made this professional and historic mixing and mastering machine a legend. This superb blend of art and technology has the power to turn your mixes into finished tracks. Tape Machine 80: The legendary Studer A80 Mk II, in its various revisions, is an essential part of countless influential records. Engineered and manufactured in Switzerland from 1970 to 1988, it became the de facto standard for professional high-end multi-tracking. The A80’s sonic signature is a perfect blend between transparency and subtle harmonic enhancement. Tape Machine 24: A model of the MCI JH24. First produced in 1980, the JH24 was a staple in US studios during the 1980s. This completely transformerless, high performance op-amp-based design delivers a pristine, phase coherent and remarkably true to the source audio performance. This results in a moderate and elegant polish to your music. Tape Machine 99: The Revox PR99 Mk II is a stereo professional recorder produced by Studer in the 1980s. Engineered around a hybrid design that combines the best of discrete and op-amp topologies, this model offers a very smooth frequency response, especially on bass, with almost no trace of the typical “head bump” phenomenon. A standard for broadcast and classical music, this machine was appreciated by audiophiles for its exceptional sonic quality. Both the T-RackS Tape Machine Collection and the individual a la carte processors are on sale for pre-order pricing now. Options, Pricing, and Availability The T-RackS Tape Collection bundle and individual Tape Machine Singles are available now in the IK Multimedia online store, Custom Shop and from IK authorized dealers worldwide. 13. Never mind, didn't see it was already posted. Another d'oh!
  14. There is no ability to change the UI colors at this time. Not sure what might be happening with the instruments but our support team would be happy to help and take a look. They are available at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support Thanks!
  15. Thanks. The holiday was pretty good and honestly anything I had happening before and after (which in and of itself is both maddening and hilarious - at least I had a couple of days that were cool typical holiday experiences) were actually mostly comical in the "when it rains it pours" sense and since it all seems to be resolved and I feel better from being in pain from one issue... I can give a thumbs up now and have a laugh.
  16. Sorry there was a holiday and I was also out. We do have other direct methods of contact if you don't find answers here timely. You can use T-RackS 5 which you can get for $49.99 to host your current set of plugins and you get resizing, new GUIs, full new metering, and other features that are listed here https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5cs/ (you'll see the features only in T-RackS 5, Deluxe, and MAX have an asterisk next to them)

  19. First thing would be to make sure your SampleTank 3 content location is also set in Settings > Sound Content (ST4 allows multiple library locations to be scanned/used simultaneously).
  20. Yes but people could have missed it and it is a crucial part of making sure everything is working.

  22. Certainly. The drivers will keep getting updated, we even updated based on user (and Joe's) feedback for the new routing.
  23. AXE I/O is a standard audio interface which has its own drivers so it would work with CbB like any other proper audio interface. Thanks! Glad you like AXE I/O. I'll see if anybody has put it through its paces with CbB.
