Hey, Lynn, great tune! The keyboard sounds great, and I really dig the vocal melody. Love the lyrics, I'm very fortunate that I've had many people like that in my life. Mix-wise my ear wanted to hear a bit more bottom end, and maybe a bit more drums. I spent a bit of time listening to some of your other tunes on SoundClick, some really good stuff there. You've got a great sound that's all yours.

A great old tune and a real challenge to cover simply because of Mitchell's unique delivery, but I gotta say, the vocal performance was wonderful. Utterly faithful but with a unique voice. Guitar break is great, perfect for the song. Arrangement-wise, I'm always a fan of small accent bits here and there to keep things interesting, but honestly, the vocals are compelling enough that the song doesn't suffer. Mix is good to my tattered ears. Great work!

Nice take, great mix, especially the guitars, and the performances are great!

Killer tune, loved the way you blend the saxes! Checked out your youtube channel, lots of great driving music there!

Good one, jack, fine keys and interesting progression as always. Enjoy your voice on this one quite a bit. Maybe some more drums would add a bit if spice. Thumbs up

Nailed it. When Ozzie hangs it up you have a gig.

The mix is good, the lyrics are great. The song keeps my interest with the ever-changing structure. I like it!

Great song, Nigel and and a great mix and video as always. Really like the way the progression evolves. Don't get me started on youtube.

Mark, what a wonderful recording of this awesome tune. Everything about it is excellent and nothing should be changed. Superb in every way. Thanks! -

These are excellent renditions, musicianship is amazing and I'm even more amazed by the drums knowing the painstaking wsy you put the together. As TeeGarden said, much respect! -

Great reimagining of a classic little pop ditty. You given it a melancholy and at times sinister vibe that I really like. The sparse arrangement is perfect. Very very nice! -
I really enjoyed this one Mark! I love the way the guitars interplay and the mix sounds just perfect to my ear. Really nice, heartfelt vocals and great performances all around. I've listened to this with my vsx headphones and with my crappy bluetooth earbuds and it sounds great with both.

Love the progression and the slow but groovy groove, nice! And it's always nice when someone bends over backwards to meet your needs!

This is a mesmerizing piece, seems much shorter than 7:17 The melodies are wonderful and the whole effect is very uplifting. It's very inspiring, thank you!

Really nice work bjorn. This is a very sweet melody and I love the guitar sounds and the separation. Sounds great!

Pretty damn good steve, Killer Bass sounds.! I like the lyrics and love the mood of the piece. As always the music is first rate!

Thanks so much, Lynn! Appreciate the help on the vocal levels, it's yet another one of my mixing weaknesses.

Thanks for sharing your techniques, I'm going to have to give it a try. What are your quantization settings?

I was setting up to do a new bass take when I noticed that the bass was running through an amp sim. Turned it off and there it was. Give it a listen and see if that doesn't help some, thanks all!

Thanks for listening and commenting, John! The bass is played by me on a lovely Fender American P Bass that I record direct in to the interface, an Audient ID22. On some songs it sounds killer and on others not so much. I think it has more to do with my playing technique than any effects I throw at it. It’s time to throw the bass track out and try again I think. I own both Modo and ample but I don’t play keys and I’m just not any good at getting midi basslines to sound natural. Maybe I’m missing some secret that make great sounding midi bass parts possible.

Thank you for listening! I'm not quite finished with it so I'll spend some looking for it. I appeciate your comments!
