  1. I was making a joke without sufficient planning.
  2. Well I still have some opinions on your comment!šŸ˜„
  3. Cakewalk like most DAWs have to display a ton of buttons and controls. I donā€™t think there is any resolution where they donā€™t look crowded. The new Sonar is sharper to me. Iā€™m too running a pair of HP 27ā€ at 1920. However the themes arenā€™t at all helpful.
  4. The developers have all but said openly that the pricing is out of their hands so they really aren't the ones to approach. I believe there is zero hope that any logic or offer from us will change Bandlab's mind but you need to go straight to Bandlab and let the developers do their work. Now if Sonar fails, Bandlab might release it to everyone like the older Sonar. Ya never know. But hey, Bandlab hasn't said "This is the final pricing offer and you need to just shut up." Yes, the current Backdoor pricing is very likely the final pricing but until they say "This is it." Maybe there will be a one time offer for either CbB or Sonar. I'm hoping we know by June.
  5. Nothing is a fluke in my life. It's all self-inflicted.
  6. Iā€™ve pretty much wrapped up my first look at Sonar. It works but needs more UI refinement. I donā€™t have a 1920+ resolution display to test but from the comments that part sounds encouraging. But nothing has made me want to open Sonar over CbB. Iā€™ve let my three day trial expire but Iā€™ll revisit Sonar once itā€™s closer to being finalized. I have a better sense of the cost now.
  7. Thanks David, we effectively did that and it was fine. It's a weird one.
  8. I just ran into this today. I was listening to an export mix and it sounded as if one channel's phase is flipped. It sounds fine in playing Cakewalk but an export has one channel inverted. I split the stereo and reversed one channel and it's corrected. I tried turning off all effects and it didn't change. I also removed the LP-64 Multi-band from the master bus and it's still reversed. I also turned off Multiprocessing and Plug-in load balancing and it didn't change (per an old Noel comment.) Is there some place in Cakewalk where you can invert the phase of a single channel during export? I looked everywhere.
  9. When I arm the first track for recording, it is no longer possible to disarm it. Here's the scenario: 1) Creating the first audio track of a project 2) Arm this track for recording (enable recording) 3) Create a second audio track and enable recording 4) Try to turn off the recording for the first track; No matter how you use it, it doesn't work. 5) Try to turn off the recording for the second track; This works for the second track Cakewalk Sonar version: 2024.03 (Build 388, 64 bit) Do you have a solution?
  10. Dang, that's right. I'll strike it out. Thanks!
  11. There is also PG Pop and Click Remover in Cakewalk. You might have to sort by Manufacturer or Category to see it. Only if you have Band in a Box.
  12. Four digits? I had to write it down and give it to the telegraph operator!
  13. Maybe someone can try this and confirm: 1. Select an Audio track 2. Click on properties 3. Click on Audio Snap 4. Check the Enable box 5. Check the Follow Project 6. Select another Audio track and do the same 7. Go back to the original and see if the Follow Project box is still checked. A couple of times the box wouldn't show the check mark until I moved to a different track and then back. There is always a slight delay before the box is refreshed while it does the audio snap, but in this case it just never showed up until I flipped back. Minor but could be me too. Usually is!
  14. I didnā€™t think any Cakewalk was promoted for the video editing market. Correct me if Iā€™m wrong.
  15. Yeah, thatā€™s a good description: raw. But so far I havenā€™t run into any issues other than readability which is something a good theme could fix.
  16. You can download sonar at the bottom of the Sonar website under Downloads. Many of us are playing with it.
  17. There are some alternate themes in Preferences>Colors.
  18. I still use CoolEdit and itā€™s pop/click plugin but I assume there is something newer at this point.
  19. They havenā€™t given us specific pricing but so far you have monthly and yearly for this beta release. The final pricing is unknown but I highly doubt it will be less than this. Iā€™m hoping they will split out Sonar and make it available without the Bandlab stuff. For me Bandlab isnā€™t a selling point. If I want to get exposure, Iā€™ll go out on the road.
  20. Side by side at 1920 I can't say it's any sharper but I suspect high resolutions will look better. If anyone is using >1920 let us know.
  21. I wonder if the license will allow for more than one installation.
