  1. liked the toms of the SI drumkit.....and Session Drummer 3 motown kit's kick. to me kickdrums sounded better with a felt beater and oldschool coated drumhead. nowadays I just hear plastic, otterly hate it
  2. no guitars should be me made without this important feature.
  3. Bitflipper, WHY ON EARTH would you need more than 1 Bass vst like fe Cakewalk SI Bass ?
  4. had the AKG 712's and another AKG, don't remember the model. incredible mid/high freq detail and beautiful width, couldn't hear any bass though (could be me}. Seen comments AKG have quite a midrange boost and are nowhere 'flat' as fe HD600. I can't mix on headphones though (neither on speakers)
  5. Sorry, didn't know about the amp modelling stuff....I understand your choice now. Would like trying this 500 bucks Gretsch, but...no store in a 100 miles. Lee (the Captain at Andertons UK ) said they're just great guitars.. as 'great for the money' for the Streamliner series. Good luck, hoping you get your guitar soon.
  6. Holy Cow, 2000 bucks !!! I guess 1 grand goes to Fender CEO and his circle. To me it looks like a guitar you throw on the sofa, doesn't sound 2000 to me by the youtube clips. I would get a Taylor for half the money plus a cheap little guitar on Amazon for the dog to chew on. Sorry mate, anyway hope ye get a lefty guitar you like soon.
  7. Many thanks Kenny ! Your posts always ROCK !
  8. Thanks Craig, I'll be ok. Hope you're safe and happy soon, you can do it !
  9. thanks mate ! will be fine
  10. thanks Steve ! That's what I thought too 'Life's too short for this..''
  11. Thanks Notes, I'll be ok (guaranteed)
  12. Had Elysia, Sknote compressors that sounded pretty clean, quite pricey though. The UK Drawmer compressors have a nice 'warm' boxtone, I had a DL251 VCA 2 channel (with fe a selectable Hard Knee for bass guitar) and the Multiband Fet. Drawmer make pleasent sounding, solid gear for good price !
  13. had 2 of those little compressors and custom patchcables made at Redco U.S. (still have the 4 cables) the jack to XLR or Jack cable requires Ring/Pin 3 floating when connected to impedance balanced gear iirc. imo they're great for the money but maybe overrated using the 'supernice' (sidechain ?) enabled. It's one of few compressors that use 'Feedback' compr. iirc. like the expensive SSL bus compressor unit. Had the Keeley pro compressor pedal too, with Feedback compr. but that thing was so noisy.. To me that type of compression sounds as ' relaxing the energy, beat etc' somewhat, can be nice. Also had their PBC-6A compressor, not as clean/subtle, probably more suited for tracking. my 2 cents, a free Kontelnikov vst can be dialed to do most types/characters of track/bus compression (have their GE edition).
  14. still liked working but peoples & management maked me quit (will spare the whole story). now really must get pro with the Sonah, wish me lock or could be singer
  15. my parents got a visit from school staff, because I had kicked a nun. was 4 or 5 years then, a shame I don't remember.
  16. Jeff Porcaro Steve Gadd Stewart Copeland Animal Phil Rudd
  17. one more bass or maybe ? SSL UC1 2 more basses or Gainlabaudio Vari MU ?
