  1. I'd help you out, but I have a very good memory, it's just quite short.
  2. I also play Yamaha WX5 Wind MIDI controllers I pimped them with a kit to get rid of the all-black look.
  3. Make Me A Memory (Sad Samba) - Grover Washington, Jr. (We play this on easy-listening sets).
  4. Mellow Yellow - Donovan (Donovan says he wrote this song about a woman's erotic toy - electrical banana)
  5. When saxes were out of style during the psychedelic years, I had a P bass. With the chrome ashtray and the chrome pickup cover. I actually prefer them that way. I think they look better and they don't make it that much harder to change the strings. It was a heavy beast, the scale was long which improved the stretch of my fingers, I put flat wounds on it, and kept the damper under the "ashtray". I sold it along with the Ampeg. I now have a Japanese lawsuit era J Bass which I got used for little money because somebody etched their name in the headstock, but it's mostly wall decoration now. Playing bass is fun for me, but I don't play it much anymore. When I make my duo's MIDI backing tracks, or my Band-in-a-Box aftermarket styles, the keyboard is the best way to enter the bass lines. 6. Hot Rod Lincoln - Charley Ryan (the original version)
  7. Besides for flatwounds on a P bass, Jamerson kept the foam mute under the 'ash tray' over the bridge to keep the sustain down. Notes ♫
  8. Little Deuce Coupe - Beach Boys IMO a better song than the last one
  9. Little GTO - Ronny & The Daytonas A car advertisement posed as a rock song?
  10. Gate of Dreams - Claus Ogerman Orchestra (with various jazz soloists)
  11. Bapu, Q. How many basses do you need? A. One more After you get one more... Q. How many basses do you need? A. One more
  12. While on the subject of roots music Little Egypt (Ying Yang) - The Coasters (I think King Curtis is the sax player on the session)
  13. Long Tall Sally - Little Richard (Look at all those sax players who got work!!!)
  14. Ours is transparent. It lets more light into the shower.
  15. Here in sunny Florida, we have a decent season going. There isn't a week without a gig on the calendar from now util April. It's stil less than have the gigs of a normal year, but it feels so good to be back on stage, doing what I love to do. Notes ♫
