Oxygen49 mk2 connection problems
Jacques Boileau replied to mastercore's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The keyboard and the controls are two different things on these controllers. The keyboard is always easy to get working, but the controls is a different matter. The controls work similar to a control surface. You will have to check out the Cakewalk documentation on control surfaces and ACT. I have an M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61 controller and, after quite a bit of learning, trial and error, I was able to make it work to my satisfaction. I would suggest you read through this thread. I am sure it has some answers for your particular model even if the thread is for the pro model. Also, this guy has done work for the M-Audio Oxygen 49/69 Mk3 https://www.azslow.com/index.php/topic,247.0.html Good luck! -

Does this suite has any usefulness for sung vocals or is it just for voice over?

Waves plugin updates (March 8, 2022)
Jacques Boileau replied to Jacques Boileau's topic in Instruments & Effects
And I don't think these bugfixes are worth the price of admission to WUP. But if you are still in the one year window for these, don't wait and update before your WUP ends! -
I didn't blame you, but you didn't respond to my post. I was trying to help you recover your recordings btw, even if to use them in Cubase, if that is what you wish to do. It is not blaming someone to point out, as other have done, that saving regularly is a good habit. Pro Tools, the industry standard, does crash from what I have read. Who do you complain to if you loose 4 hours of good work because of a power loss? Or you PC's motherboard failure or a hard disk crash or Windows simply having a bad day? Again, your recordings are probably still on your drive ready to be imported into Cubase.

Just out of curiosity, was it 4 hours non-stop recording? If it was done in multiple recordings, like 3 or 4 minutes of recording (typical song length), did you save between recordings? Edit: in any case, your recording should still be on your drive even if it is not shown in your project. If you go into your project folder under the folder 'Audio', your recording should still be there.

"The following Channels are in use by another application"
Jacques Boileau replied to Ian Scanlan's question in Q&A
... and make sure you update the title of this thread if things get fixed on your end. Just add [solved] to the title if John's suggestion works out for you. -
Does adding a graphic card instead of using the on board Intel graphic card has any significant improvement in Cakewalk? I don't use my DAW's PC for gaming at all. But I wonder if adding a cheap passively cooled graphic card, similar in power to the Intel on board, would free up the CPU enough to make a difference. ๐ค

I can't tell if this is due to 2022.02 or if this always happens when we upgrade, but all of my control surface configurations do not work anymore. I use AZ Controller for DAW control and it does not even receive midi events at all as I can see in its UI. I also use ACT Midi Controller for plugin control and it does receive midi but all my previous plugin configurations do not work at all. Hopefully there are ways to get these back but I haven't tried anything yet. Edit: Ok, I removed AZ Controller and ACT MIDI Controller from the Control Surfaces, in preferences, and added them back in. I now have control back through AZ Controller for DAW functionality as I had before. But for plugin control through ACT MIDI Controller I lost all my assignments. Where are ACT assignments saved? In what file? I am ok with having to save and restore a file before installing if that is possible. But it still would be nice that control surfaces work as before after an update.

I guess we will have to check it out then! ๐ค

Who is LarryS and what has he done with cclarry?
Jacques Boileau replied to Doug Rintoul's topic in Deals
Happens too me ALL the time! Sometimes it shows my alias: Jacques Boileau Sometimes my real name: Jacques Boileau It can change MANY times in a single day! -
You may also want to check what I did with the AZ Controller plugin: Also note that DAW presets commands are received through the 'MIDIIN3 (Oxygen Pro 61)' interface, but plugin presets command are received through the 'Oxygen Pro 61' interface. What I ended up doing is create an entry of AZ Controller for DAW mode and an entry for ACT midi controller to use ACT for plugins with WAI disabled. I only want WAI to be controlled by AZ Controller. I can then use ACT learn for plugins. It works very well that way. I guess I could disable ACT for the AZ Controller since I don't use it there...

Slate Fresh Air is FREE Again - for a Limited Time
Jacques Boileau replied to cclarry's topic in Deals
Before having Fredh Air, I often reached for La Petite Excite. Loved how I could add low end and/or high end without reaching for an eq. Don't ask me how it compares to Fresh Air, my hearing in the high register and good enough for that. -
You can also still get an older version installer downloaded for free. You may want to try it out before dishing the full $2.99! ๐ Here is the link to installers: Element v0.41.1
