  1. There is talk that it is an 'artificial' block, in other words it would possibly run fine but PreSonus have decided to block the installation on Win7/8/8.1 for whatever reason, whether true or not who knows. If you want to get a copy of Win10 Pro know for use later on at a cheap price, they are still available via the following. Don't worry that it says June 30, it has been extended. I just checked and they are still available.
  2. The SlickEQ and Nova plugin families have been updated. You can find detailed changelogs at the bottom of this email. This update accumulates several patches silently released in the past weeks, introduces a fixed latency mode, improves the main EQ display's options and context menus, and brings other small enhancements. Particularly interesting for geeks is a new experimental feature now found in SlickEQ and SlickEQ GE, allowing to reconfigure the UI controls and even build your own EQ models. This whole process is documented in a dedicated tech article here: https://docs.tokyodawn.net/slickeq-custom-models-guide/ If that's too confusing, don't worry. Similar to how SmartOps developed, we plan to greatly improve the usability of this feature in a future update. As always, freeware can be updated by downloading and running the latest installers: https://www.tokyodawn.net/tokyo-dawn-labs/ Customers find updated installers in their libraries: https://store.tokyodawn.net TDR Nova 2.1.2 Maintenance update # VST3 format compatibility fixes # Logic 10.5 compatibility fixes # Added "Fixed Latency" mode # Added "Analyzer Speed" control # EQ display context menu extended # Small graphical improvements TDR Nova GE 2.1.2 Maintenance update # VST3 format compatibility fixes # Logic 10.5 compatibility fixes # Added "Fixed Latency" mode # Added "Show Reference Curve" command to Smart Operations # Added "Analyzer Speed" control # Small graphical improvements TDR VOS SlickEQ 1.3.4 Maintenance update # VST3 format compatibility fixes # Logic 10.5 compatibility fixes # User-defined EQ models (see https://docs.tokyodawn.net/slickeq-custom-models-guide/ ) TDR VOS SlickEQ GE 1.3.4 Maintenance update # VST3 format compatibility fixes # Logic 10.5 compatibility fixes # Added "Show Reference Curve" command to Smart Operations # User-defined custom models (see https://docs.tokyodawn.net/slickeq-custom-models-guide/ ) TDR SlickEQ M 2.0.2 Maintenance update # VST3 format compatibility fixes # Logic 10.5 compatibility fixes # Added "Fixed Latency" mode # Added "Show Reference Curve" command to Smart Operations # Reduced the CPU usage of "Mixed phase" mode

  6. I've got another Doctors appointment in 4 hours, if this keeps going like it has been, they won't need to use a needle, my blood pressure will be so high it will be freely squirting out of me 😡
  7. Zo, are you on Windows 10, I thought I recalled you were on 7 or 8, I just read on the forums that 7/8/8.1 aren't supported, posted by our old mate CakeAlex
  8. Yes, trying to use the site is just not happening, I was getting the 'unknown error' again, so i logged out and logged back in, that took long enough, it's just not happening, no better than it was 3 1/2 hours ago.
  9. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow, later today, it's 3am and I got to be at the Doctors at 7.30, and haven't had any sleep yet.

  15. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/amplitube4/index.php?p=gear Although the new Marshall's can be quite good, and they are, with Amplitube the action starts with the various collections and addons you can buy. I've owned everything (except the leslies)for as long as I can remember, I can't recall what a standard Amplitube is like. Oh, and if the presets thing bothers you, don't use them, make your own. I've always just start of with whatever Amp I want, everything else turned off, always use 3rd party cab IR's and loader, then add FX if and when required.
  16. No, you should (maybe you shouldn't), it is really nice, even the stock cab IR's are very usable, they seem to suit well, although I tried with some 3rd party cab IR's and prefer those. Also the FX are very usable and of reasonably good quality, much better than the Nembrini FX you can buy separately, which to be honest are crapola. It really likes single coils or split coils in the split mode as apposed to humbuckers, to my ears anyway, can't remember the last time I spent this long playing with single or split. I'm gonna spend a bit of time over the coming days comparing with what I already have before hitting the buy button. Got to try and stop having overlaps that I wont use. The recent PA ORANGE is a good example, I should have cooled the engines on that, because I'll always go for the Amplitube collection or the BIAS version before it, but it does sound nice, but will likely not get used. Luckily a voucher paid for most of that (and I got another PA Tuner lol) Studio One 5 is nearly hear, and for me that has priority. [Edit] Well after a few days of demoing and comparing I decided to pass and leave this on the shelf
  17. Yes, that's pretty nice, been messing around with it since the Email turned up a couple of hours ago.
  18. 🤣 I just had a look at the forums, and no such luck at the moment, I'll keep my eye on it. Thanks. Oh, do you put your rapturous experience down to, the AXE I/O?
  19. Diabetes, yeah, that can be a bitch. I am personally tossing up whether or not to go on this diet the doctor has given me to go on, low carb, it's not just a diet, it's a life long thing (which wont be that long). She recons she can keep me away from actually having diabetes, supposedly I'm on the edge, an average reading over so many months says I'm ok, a single reading says I'm not. I have high insulin levels, dangerously high according to her, but the diet . . . , just imagine 2 slices of plain white bread with nothing on it, and that's it, if I was to eat that I couldn't have anything else that day. I have worked out having certain foods where it is better than that sounds, but still, I' like my food. I have been doing it for a week, and then I cracked this weekend. Due to other issues (I got quite a few, lol) I'm not supposed to see the new year, so I say to myself what's the point?, I could eat what I like and be happy until the end, or basically starve myself and be miserable and not gain anything. I guess the high insulin issue could get me before then but I doubt it, I'll ask her that when I see her this week, if she says no, or that it's unlikely, then I am going to enjoy as much life while I can and what will be will be, I love my food, I couldn't imagine not eating another potato in it's various forms. I've been a Vegetarian for 35+ years. Getting old sucks.
