  1. If it is it's not on our end as far as I can see.
  2. @Dylan O'BrienI've PM'ed you an updated installer to try.
  3. @cheeseman check your PM's I sent you an updated installer to try.
  4. That string doesn't come from Cakewalk resources. It comes via a Windows API to read the device name from the registry, so something likely corrupted there. Nothing has changed in that code for many years.
  5. The device you inserted or removed is returning that string to the Windows API's we're using. Not much we can do to solve it. That is supposed to show the device name that was inserted or removed. Not related to this update.
  6. We identified the issue and will release an updated web installer tomorrow.
  7. Any chance you can share one of the projects that exhibits this? I doubt we’ll be to repro but its worth a try.
  8. Can you share a link to the project that crashes?
  9. We’ve identified an issue with the web installer. We’ll post an update tomorrow. Thanks for the report.
  10. Something may have modified the Cakewalk executable which could explain why a reinstall rectified the issue. You should also do a virus scan…
  11. Be wary of these extension tools that hook into windows low level functions since they can cause unexpected side effects like this!
  12. @cheesemandid you use the web installer for the latest 2022.06 release? We can look into it if you are still unable to install.
  13. Mix recall presets definitely support swapping in different effects and instruments as well as their settings. If it's crashing it's likely a regression or some unexpected case.
  14. @Hugh Blaney which version of Cakewalk are you running and what Windows OS version do you have. You can upload the dump to any file sharing service, like OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox and send a link to the file.
  15. What version of Windows are you using and how did you install Cakewalk? Error code 20 is an error indicating that the digital signature of the application is invalid or could not be authenticated. This can happen if the executable was modified or if the cryptography in Windows is unable to validate the signature.
  16. Obviously, a crash isn't expected. So, you saved a mix from a project containing a synth, then replaced the synth and then tried to apply the saved mix to the new project? If its crashing thats a bug. I would expect it to apply the mix from the old mix recall setting but ignore the new synth. If you choose to ignore effects in the mix recall settings when applying the preset does it work ok? Please try and reproduce it with the same steps and see if it still crashes. If so please send the dump file.
  17. Thats good. This feature came about as a result of trying to get it to work with the Keylab actually.
  18. I don't think this could be anything related to this update. Are you sure your mouse isn't misbehaving?
  19. Does the same happen if you open the app first and then open your project?
  20. If I understand correctly, is the problem only when opening a project before Cakewalk has opened? If the waves scan is hung for some reason, then that toast won't go away. As abacab mentioned that could be a waves install issue. But the project loading toast is completely independent of that. I expect that toast to always be dismissed. If you can boil it down to a project send me a link and I can try and reproduce it. I have all the waves plugins.
  21. This looks like a bug where the end project load notification is not being received somehow. Strange because I've never encountered that one. Does it happen on all your projects or just one? Also if you let it sit there after load does the vst scan finally say scan complete? You can check if the VST scan process is still running in the background. It should go away when the scan is complete which is typically a few seconds.
  22. This was fixed for the final update so it only happens on the EA. You can click on multiple items and they are queued and downloaded sequentially now.
  23. Enabling local help also automatically does a check for updates when you OK preferences. So you should see the download listed (assuming you are online when you do that)
  24. It looks like something is messed up with the Windows redist installer state. Uninstalling and reinstalling might be the only solution, or you can contact Microsoft support who may be able to help. Also see this link: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/errore-microsoft-visual-c-2019-x64-minimum-runtime/1299781
  25. Hmm its not normal for the project loading messages to stay around, since those should automatically go away. The scan on startup message also should also automatically fade away. There should be no reason to click to dismiss them. Can you post a video if you aren’t seeing this. Its the first time I’m hearing about that. Ultimately a better solution to toast notifications would be a notifications panel, but that will take some work.
